Full name: Ivan Lloyd Kello
‘Given’ Name: Raiden – Thunder and Lightening or Thunderbolt – and Araumi – rough/stormy sea.
D.O.B: August 7th
Age: 26
Home planet: Outer space herself, born there and raised there.
Species: ¼ Zercan, ¼ Majikadai, ½ unknown
Family background: “His birthing father was a merchant for Zerca when his ship was intercepted by another. Not recognizing the other’s ship, and vice versa, the two ships invoked the rite of trade and passage – in this case the latter plus some information. The surprise at the two captain’s becoming mated was a laugh among the crew for years to come.”
Ivan was always a bit of a hectic person, always doing something around the ship, finding ways to order people around when they don’t even realize it, and overall wear people down with his commanding presence. The antics didn’t even falter when his brother was born, later proving that just the opposite had happened – he did it just as much, if not more. One thing that usually stuck out was that when he did it, it was to the help of the ship.
As Ivan helped raise his brother, it always seemed to irk him that the child was his opposite in many ways. Where as Ivan could do a space coordination formula in his head in seconds, Corwin was constantly burying himself in his books. Where Ivan would gently direct someone to do something, manipulating his words, Corwin tended to get right to the point, which was amusing with his brother’s small frame.
Corwin strived to emulate his brother, to be like him, and to an extent, Ivan could say the other succeeded. Yet still, both held intelligence, enough to run the ship for years to come in the place of their parents.
The day that the ship was attacked, the crew was either separated, or dead. Ivan was one of those that were separated, taken onto the other ship. Eighteen at the time, Ivan was young enough to learn the tricks of trade, but knowledgeable enough to get by.
In the eight years missing, Ivan learned both how to navigate the stars like a true space pirate, and also the seas of different planets. During three-year span before he was titled heir and keeper of the fleet, most was spent on the waters of a minor planet, pirating the seas. At this eight year mark, he could honestly say that, in pirating only, he preferred the waters – much less complicated and more thrilling. Traveling would always be space wise in his heart, however.
Part of the deal for Ivan to become the heir to the pirate Ragnborg, whom was born of humanoid and incubus union, was for him to never mate, even had he found his only. Yet if he were ever to step down from pirating, it must be after, he must find both an apprentice after the five year span, and a mate before it ends.
Appearance: Moderately tall, Ivan is a slim and muscled individual, well toned to every extent. Long dark hair is clasped back at the neck, cascading down the back, cut in a way that it looses some of it’s natural waviness and is more straight. Accessing silver eyes, a straight nose, and thinly arched brows set the figure of a fiercely tanned face.
His clothing consists of formfitting leather like outfit, though it is obviously more impervious to moisture and pliable than the hide itself. Lined in a deep red Dragonis’ scale cloth, and similarly hemmed in gold, it’s neigh impenetrable, a good reason for his worship of the clothing. The pants he wears are simply more of the leather like cloth, as are the boots he wears. He usually wears a white cloth shirt under the outfit, hiding the array of both faded scars and newer, more marring, ones.
Personality: Ivan has a demanding personality, as shrewd and calculating as he had been in his youth, if not more so. A smart, flexible mind, Ivan was never one to just jump to conclusions. Secretly, he wishes that he could just take the riches of his pirating years, stow it far away, and move on from that life, though he knows it would almost never happen.
Other points of interest:
During the years of his training, he was in firm belief that all of his remaining family was dead.
Because of his ‘Stupid, Unexplainable’ love of the sea, Ivan is well aware of ‘Ancient and unsophisticated’ weaponry. He is capable of wielding, even, twin swords of any variety, though he favors the scimitars.
Mate: Unmated
Avatar: Another of Bettina’s images. ^^;
