Ferris didn't mean to, but he fell asleep listening to the melody of Cal's heart.

Cal felt touched that he could and just held the man, his weight not a bother at all instead a comfort.

Something was itching in the back of Ferris' mind, something about why laying here just felt so right. It wasn't like this hadn't been offered before, but he always just always turned it down in a sufisicated manner. He had only slept with a few outside and maybe one of his inccubi a couple times before they found their mate. Mate?

Cal stared down at the man and just continued to run his fingers through Ferris' hair. He had never felt this close to anyone and was just enjoyingit.

Ferris slept peacefully actually exhausted for the day's work.

The man's breathing atop him slowly lulled him into his own peaceful sleep.

The next morning, Ferris slipped out before Cal could wake headint straight to his garden. He hoped the man wouldn't take his leaving the wrong way.

He didn't and slept in until later in the day until a shrill vid call awoke him. The vid flipped on abruptly and a booming voice demanded despite the black vid screen, "What exactly have you been doing all this time?! The man is still alive and I am losing my patience!"

Cal knew the man coudln't see him, it was part of the agreement and so he didn't bother getting up. "There has been complications that may link your target to a bombing. Symbols were discovered."
"I don't give a damn about any complication. Finish the job!" The vid screen clicked off and Cal sighed, getting from the bed and tugging some sweats on before moving to review the recordings.

Ferris then put the flowers into an aqua colored face that looked like a clock without all its mechanical guts. He put it into a fridge at the end of his garden and went to the counter at the front of the hotel.

Still not liking what he saw, Cal just wasn't sure what to do. He had taken an assignment to kill teh man but if this was what he thought then to do so would possibly bring down the man's entire organization on his head. Not to kill him would black list him and he'd be out of work. Confused, he could do nothing but put his head in his hands and think.

After a while, Ferris went to get the bouquet he'd made and handed it to one of his workers to go deliver to Cal.

A knock on the door brought Cal immediately to his feet and moving over to the door. The only person who had ever knocked on that door was Ferris and - Jerking the door open, he could feel his face fall a bit when it turned out not to be the man.

"From the master," the worker said presenting Cal with the bouquet of exotic flowers in the clock vase.
