Ferris sat at the front desk at his hotel tinkering with a watch, cat like eyes totally engrossed in the small details turning them this way and that. To the side of him, he had another box with random pieces of metal and wires and a few seed plants.
"Come on," he mumbled to himself, tongue sticking slightly out of the side of his mouth as he consentrated. "Come one, turn."

It was cold out, the nippy wind that blew pushing back cal's hair and bringing it forward giving it a haphazard fashion that it tried relentlessly to share with his clothing. Cal took little notice and instead walked on with a single-minded focus that had others unwearingly moving from his path.
Spying the hotel he had arranged to stay at, he made a beeline for it. He had another three days to scope out his surroundings and decide on an assassination destination ere he did his next mission. And this place offered a great view of his soon-to-be victim two buildings over.
Entering the hotel, he immediately made way for the desk, pausing a moment as his attention was slagged by the handsome clerk. He never noticed trivial things like appearance and yet... This man seemed to appeal to him on so many levels and had Cal wondering if he had met the man before. But he knew he had not, there just seemed to be a feeling of... familiarity.
"Excuse me?" he said curtly, hoping to get the man's attention turned to him.

It took a couple minutes for the newcomer's words to reach Ferris' ears. He looked up, one cat eye showing, while the other was dovered by bangs before he streightened and moved the bangs away. "A room?" he asked in his low resoning voice.

"Considering I'm in a hotel..." Cal answered, his tone curt but his eyes just a tad wide as they devoured the oblivious man before him. He was halfway tempted to ask the man if he would be interested in joining him im that room...

Ferris pulled out a ring of keys and started shifting through them. "Any preference?"

"I need room number 813 on the 8th floor," he said, knowing that from taht room number he would be able to se Shubert Macker with precision and clarity. "No other room is acceptable."

"813," Ferris said taking a silver key off the ring and sliding it over the desk to the man. "Payment card."

Cal flipped his watch open and handed the man the small chip. He wasn't one for very much conversation and he felt no need to be noticed... normally. But he felt as if all he wanted in the world at this moment was for the man to look up and see him. What would he think? He pondered.

Ferris took the chip carefully as not to make any physical contact with the customer. He usually did like touching anyone, but for some reason, he was very careful with this one. He scanned the chip quickly before placing it on the desk for the hitman to take. "Anythin' more, pull the rope in yer room."

"Anything?" Cal asked lowly, though there may have been a hint of amusement in the question.

"Anythin'," Ferris cofermed going back to tinkering with the watch. He really did mean anything. He had a staff of workers who had signed contracts saying they agreed to assist the hitmen anyways possible be it bringing food or sex.

Cal had been to similar establishments and knew that often hotel owners did that. But from the name on the wall and on the boy he knew that, though young, this kid was the owner. He didn't know what possessed him to say it, but say it he did, "And if I want you?"

Again, the words took a few minutes to reach Ferris' ears. He looked up again, his bangs having fallen back so that they covered that one eye. "'Cuse me? Want me what?"

"You said," Cal said slowly, eyebrow raised in an arrogant fashion and his voice cool. "That is If I wanted anything to pull the cord. You assured me that if I needed 'anything'," he put emphasis on the word. "Now I'm asking you, what if I want you for the night. Do I still pull the cord or what?"

Ferris stood up straight to his full height, pulling hair out so that his bangs moved out of his face. "Why'da want me?"
