Glwys lifted up one of Jax's arms sadly. "It's not your fault. You know this is going to happen, right, because we haven't mated," he started before carefully taking his hand and lacing their fingers together. "I know you don't want to, so I won't force you as best I can, so be careful. I like you a lot, so I want to protect you until you do, even if it's not with me. Is it okay if I do that, can I protect you, Jax?"

Jax watched him as he laced their fingers together. He shyly smiled at his words then nodded. "I...would like that," he admitted softly. He squeezed his hand gently then looked to his eyes, "Did...you want to walk me home?"

Glwys beamed at Jax. "Okay," he said tugging their hands slightly, "let's go home."

Jax nodded and let him led him home. Once they were home he pulled away to finish dinner, for the first time since they arrived he was smiling and singing softly as he cooked.

Gwys couldn't help but notice the good mood of his mate, and there was pulling on his heart and a small bit of hope and joy filled him as he went to his room to continue his work.

Glwys turned to Jax, pen in his mouth. He smiled causing the pen to fall and he fumbled to catch. "O-oh, okay, I'll be out in a second. Heh, dropped my pen," he said raising said pen in the air with a nervous smile.

Jax smiled sensing he was nervous because of him and it was sweet. "Ok. I'll set the table..." he murmured then left the room

Glwys ran a hand through his hair sighing. "Alright, Glwys get a hold of yourself," he whispered to himself getting up and going to the kitchen.
