Once outside, Danni turned to Savinth. "I am Danni'vex Urmi from Parenenai and a merman. My mate is human as you can probably tell. And, as you've probably come to figure out, my son is a bit oblivious to the fact he's half alien. I've tried to explain it countless times, but he's a bit of an idiot. Can't get anything through that mop of curly hair to that boy."

Savinth couldn't help the scoff that emerged from him throat. "Did you seriously just call my mate an idiot? You will hense forth show the proper respect to the bearer of my children."
Still, despite his words, he had heard what the man had said and could see where he was coming from. Hadn't Savinth himself tried time and again in the past hour alone to explain their connection to the boy? Stars, this mate business was turning out to be more difficult than he thought it was going to be.

Danni waved his hands in front of him defensevely. "He's my son, I don't many anything bad by it. He just lives in a world of his own. I'll gladly give you my blessing, but not until after you can covince him. I'm not going to give him to you if he can't' understand what he's getting into."

Savinth scowled at the man. "As a Giver, it was your responsibility to inform him of his expected duties in life and to prepare him for a mate. Had he been merely a human this could have been overlooked, bit as he is not, it was your duty." He didn't give the man a chance to speak before he was speaking again. "However, since you could not get through to him, I will and he will mark me in my words and he will become the perfect mate."

Danni just laughed nervously. "Well, then I wish you the best of luck. It's a feet that gives a great reward. Now then, we'll go back and eat."

Savinth stopped the man when he would have walked inside. "I do thank you for your blessing, however, Danni." That said, he followed the man inside, eager to lay eyes once again on his mate.

Aaronz sat at the table, legs swinging back and forth as he waited for his bearer to serve the spaghetti. Then, he saw Savinth. "Oh, Mr. Savinth. Sit, sit, mom's about to serve the food."

Savinth slid into the chair next to his mate. Unable to resist the urge to connect with his mate in some way, he reached over and took the boy's hand, kissing him gently on the palm before dropping said hand and turning to the dish that was set down before him. "Thank you."

"Uh huh," Aaronz said starring at his hand that Savinth had kissed before making a face and hiding it under the table eating his food with the other hand.
Danni raised an eyebrow at that and looked toward Savinth to see if he'd noticed.

Savinth clenched his jaw in frustration and ate a few bites of his food. Catching Danni's eye, he asked, "Would you permit me a few moments time alone with my mate, sir? After this splendid meal, of course."

Danni nodded, his mate, Allen, looking nervously between them. Aaronz just made a weird face again. "Hey, Mr. Savinth, why do you talk so weird. I can't understand you well."

Aaronz pouted. Suddenly, a girl obvious of Latin heritage came down the stares dressed in blad skirt and combat boots and a shirt with a band name on it. Upon seeing Savinth, her golden eyes widened. "Who the heck is this?"

Savinth eyes the young woman, unused to seeing such creatures. He hastily reminded himself that this was Earth, not Zerca and he would have to become accustomed to the sight while he was here. As such, he rose and gave a stiff bow. "I am Savinth Grri, Aaronz mate."

The girl scoffed. "Mate? What kind of crack is this guy on?" she said coming and taking a seat by Allen. "If you're Aaronz gay lover, just say so."
"Lover? I don't have a lover, Allizon," Aaronz said making a cute face as he shook his head at his sister as if she was mental.
Allizon raised an eyebrow and turned to Danni. "He denies having a lover when denying being gay would have covered both. What an idiot!"
