My Beautiful Blundering Idiot [Savinth/Aaronz]

Savinth narrowed his eyes at the girl and her insulting words. "I would ask you, woman, to keep your tongue behind your teeth. My mate may tolerate your insolence yet will I not."

Allizon's eyes went wide as did Aaronz. "D-did he just...he did, he just said that," Allizon said glaring at Savinth. "You know what, you're a real --"

Aaronz cut his sister off before she could say anything bad. "Mr. Savinth, don't talk to my sister like that. If you're of those weird women haters than I don't think I can be your friend."

Danni was glaring at Savinth as well. His glare said that if Savinth wanted close to his son, he'd have to get use to his daughter. Allen just looked over all confused and worried. You could almost tell where Aaronz got his oblivious nature from.

Savinth stood strong in his resolve. He was most definitely not a woman-hater, yet did he resent that so many threw such insulting words about in reference to his mate and he said as much. "I do not hate women, yet do I care for my mate and abhor the sound of an insult in his direction."

Aaronz just stared at Savinth like he was speaking a differn language. "I really don't understand what you're saying."

"Hey, you, Mr. Savinth," said Allizon, "I'd suggest talking in a less formal fashion. And I can call my brother an idiot if I want. He calls me things to."

Allen sighed. "I'm so very confused." Danni just wrapped an arm around his mate.

Savinth buried his face in his hand, he felt very much like Allen at the moment and just wasn't sure what to do. Clearly Danni had been speaking the truth when he spoke of just how clueless Aaronz was and now a sister was brought into the picture. Unsure of what to do, he felt he needed a moment to collect himself and figure out a strategic plan.

Rising from the table, he bowed in the general direction of the bearer that served, "Excuse me, I need some air." With that he went for the door he had entered.

After a few seconds, Aaronz turned to his father. "May I be excused?"

Danni nodded and Aaronz got up fallowing after Savinth. "Mr. Savinth, I-I'm sorry if I said something to upset you or if Allizon did," he said looking down at his feet, hands behind his back. "She has a big mouth, and well," he pointed at his head and grinned, "I'm a bit odd."

Savinth looked up at his mate from where he sat upon the porch steps. He supposed he should be happy that his mate had followed after him but he felt so very confused that he found little joy in it. He had been taught from birth that his mate would know him, want to be with him and care for him, but Aaronz just didn't seem ready for that sort of thing.

"You're family is lovely, Aaronz, and so are you," he turned his face away now having said it. This was the first time in his life that he felt unsure of himself, like his words didn't matter. He didn't like the feeling.

"Uh, thanks I guess," Aaronz said a came a bit closer to Savinth. "Hey, Mr. Savinth, can I ask you a question? Are you an alien?"

"I suppose so. I come from a grand planet called Zerca," he gestured for his mate to sit beside him. "Would you care to hear about it?"

Aaronz clapped his hands together and sat. "You're really an alien, that's awesome!"

Savinth smiled at the youth. "Yes, I am. As I said, I am from a place called Zerca. A place fo great beauty and great loves. We are born and raised part cat and part humanoid. When we reach adulthood we are given free will to seek out our mates, the other halves to our whole, to find our partners and join with them. You are my mate, Aaronz and you will bear my son."

"That sound really cool," Aaronz said excitedly, hands being thrown in the air. "I'll tell you my secret too, then. I'm actually a super hero; I can breath underwater."

Savinth couldn't help the smile that split open his face. He'd been introduced to Earth through modern media and that included an extensive American vocabulary transferred into his mental stream while resting aboard his ship and as such, he knew what the boy was referring to. He also knew from Danni's skin tone just what he was, mermen had a distinct look about them, just as any other being had distinguishing attributes.

Still, Savinth found this humorous. "Perhaps not, perhaps you simply take after your Giver's- erm - father's merman heritage."

"Mermaid? Mermaids are girls, you silly," Aaronz said slapping Savinths arm gently with a smile before blue eyes went wide. "Oh, I've got a potoshoot in ten minutes. I've got to go," he said getting up and waving by to Savinth.

"Photos? What in Blanserta?" Staring after his mate, he called to his mate's Giver. "Where does my mate go?"
