All Oddities Aside [Mina/Oliver]

Isis blinked, eyes going wide as he looked at the Jshiko. There was no getting away from that one, the giver seemed pretty sure of himself...and...his baby. Isis teared up, actually happy but unable to relay that as he darted off to get some tissue.

His little Mina was...had a mate!

[clementine]

Maddox look a little miffed when his mate ran off crying. Isis never cried. "Oi, what did you say?" The demon demanded, advancing on Oliver and looking like he wanted to gut the male. Looking alarmed, the shifted backed up, using Mina as a shield.

"Whoa dad, calm down." Mina said, stepping forward and holding his big father back a bit. "It's alright, I'll just ask him, calm down."

Mina looked back to Oliver. "What did you say?" he asked him.

"I told him you were mine." Oliver replied, face innocent of any lies as he continued to watch Maddy fume.

Mina stopped trying to hold Maddy back and his face just went bright, incandescently red. He attempted to speak, but couldn't, and just squeaked out an "excuse me," and all but bolted from the room. Akale, who understood Majikadai looked at Oliver. "What do you mean he's yours? As in your mate?" He asked forgetting to speak Majikadai for a moment before he repeated it in the language the Jshiko could understand.

"Death!" Maddy cried and pounced on poor Oliver, rattling the jshiko until he was stopped by Akale's words. "What the hell?"

Oliver was startled, but was unfazed by the shaking for the most part. "Mate?" He asked, slightly confused. "I don't know, but he's mine." He said again, more firmly this time. Oli wasn't sure about the whole mate business but he didn't know that he wanted to keep Mina safe.

"Hey hey! What the blue hells is going on here. Maddox, get off of him now." Isis said, hands on his hips and looking very annoyed. He went over to Oli and helped the poor boy up. "There you are, dear." he murmured in Jshiko.

"That's no way to treat your son-in-law, Maddy." Isis chastised.

Meanwhile, Alge and Kentale made their way to the side door of the house, having come from the other entrance to the gate. Kentale smiled at his uncle and cousins, Jikan, Rykan, and Xero, all in the kitchen and cooking up a storm.

"Ken!" Jiji cried, rushing over to hug his nephew. "Look at you. You're all glowy and happy looking--oh..." he said, catching sight of Alge. "That's why."

"I'm Jikan, Ken's great uncle, these are his cousins and my sons Rykan and Xero." the Majikadai smiled. "Who are you?" he asked Alge.

"Son-in-law?" Maddox asked. "Oh, I give up." He moaned, flopping to the couch as Oliver smiled and thanked Isis.

"Where's Mina?" Oliver asked.

Alge clung to Kentale, but his curiosity was getting the better of him and he was looking around in excitement. The three males in the kitchen had him smiling. "Hullo." Algernon smiled, peeking out from behind Ken. "Great uncle? But you don't look old at all!" He gasped in shock, covering his mouth, blushing.

Jikan laughed. "I like him, Ken! He's such a smart one too," he grinned. "Thank you darlin, I do try." Jikan gave a saucy wink and sashayed back to the stove.

"I am Rykan, Kentale's older cousin." Rykan introduced. "My son and his father grew up together," he said with a smile.

"Mine too," Xero chimed. "And I'm Xero. What's your name? Tell us how you managed to land tall, dark, and silent over there." He smiled, gently pulling the male to a chair in the kitchen while they cooked.

Meanwhile, Mina was outside, having finally calmed down. He blushed and sat down against the house. Oliver wanted him? Why? Every other giver he came across always said the same thing: "You're hot, just too freaky and weird for me."

He had sort of resigned himself to being alone. Without noticing it, he had begun to hum, as he often did when he was feeling alone or conflicted.

Kentale flushed, but ended up smiling and laughing. "So, you're all related?" He asked curiously. "And my name's Algernon, but most people call me Alge. I met Ken at his restaraunt." Alge grinned, talking a million miles a second.

"Mina?" Oliver asked, having followed his nose. "Are you okay? I'm sorry if I upset you." He said, coming to squatted in front of the male looking distressed.

Xero, and Rykan laughed. "He's our bearer." they pointed to Jikan. Ken left his mate and his cousins to their own devices, before going to find his father. He slunk up behind him, wrapping his arms about him while he was on the couch, catching him by surprise.

Mina looked at Oli, "I'm fine." he assured with a smile. "Just thinking." he said, blushing a bit.

While Alge chatted easily away, Maddox was practically beaming when he smelled Kentale. "Kenny boy!" The demon cried happily, standing and hugging Ken over the couch. "Glad you could make it."

Oliver tilted his head and blinked. "About what?" He asked curiously.

Kentale smiled. "Would not... miss it." he said, with a grin.

Mina looked at Oli. "Nothing really," he blushed. "Just...why do you want me?" he asked Oli.

The fact that his Kentale had just spoke caused the demon to plop back down again in awe. "Ken..you...when...ISIS!" The demon roared in delight at hearing Ken's voice.

Oliver smiled gently. "Because your sweet and kind." Here, the shifter wiggled his way between Mina's legs and nuzzled against him. "You smell wonderful and I like your smile. You're just perfect." He practically purred.

Kentale just chuckled silently as Isis came skidding around the corner with a mediKit. "Who died?!" He asked, holding up the gauze.

Mina blinked, finding a lump in his throat. He swallowed thickly, tears in his eyes. "You...love me?" he asked.
