Round about an hour or so later, Isis was making everyone hide and shut things down. They turned off the lights in the front rooms and everyone hid in the large dinning hall/mini ball room while Isis sat in the living room, pretending to read as Maddy walked in the door, trailed by Erik (who knew about everything).

"Isis!" Maddox greeted happily. "Where's Rai? Erik is getting on my nerve-yeowch!" Erik had just goosed his employer and the demon rubbed his bruised ass. "See?" He cried, totally oblivious to everyone hiding in the room and waiting for Isis signal so they could give the demon the optimum surprise.

Maddox was just about to ask why Isis was asleep before a hoard of people jumped out all screaming, "SURPRISE!" At the top of their voices. Needless to say, Maddy nearly pissed himself in shock and stumbled backwards falling on his laugh while his kiss and their friends laughed.
"What the hell?" The demon roared in confusion though his face was lit with a happy grin. "Isis I told you not to do anything funny!" He wailed as Erik helped him up.

Isis stood from the couch, laughter in his eyes as he walked over to kiss his mate. "I couldn't resist. And since when do I do anything you tell me to?" he asked with a grin.
Orai had gone over to a corner of the room and started up the music and the younger kids entertained themselves by making Drik'a dance with them. Mina grinned, standing from his spot and skulking around his huge father, unseen. Akale and he locked eyes and pounced, and Maddy was caught in a gigantic bear hug between two of his sons.
"Happy birthday, geezer!" they chorused, laughing.

Maddy burst out laughing as the air was squeezed from his lungs. "You little brats!" He grinned, wrestling slightly with his boys and mussing up their hair. "Where's my chef?" The demon asked, looking around for Kentale. He didn't ask for Ninya of course...but, he never really liked the little bastard all that much anyways.
"And who's that?" Maddox asked as he his eyes landed on a freakishly tall male. Hell, the guy was a few inches taller than himself and the demon was no midget.

Mina laughed, letting go of his father to drag Oli over. "This is Oliver, my new Jshiko friend." Mina smiled, pulling the tall male over by the hand.
"And I have no clue where Ken is. He said he was coming." Mina added as an afterthought.

Maddox shrugged. "You know how much of a workaholic he is." He said as he watched the rather cowed looking jshiko being tugged over.
"Greetings." Oliver said to the demon male. "Er...happy birthing day." He tried in regular speech, the words a little odd sounding. Maddox didn't speak Majikadai after all.
"Yo." Maddy replied, blinking in confusion.

"Oli doesn't speak Zercan, so he says what he can understand." Mina said. "He works for me at the clinic now," He smiled.
"And he's staying with you?" Akale asked, blinking at the tall male--obviously a giver with interest in his brother.
"Yeah, where else?" Miina asked, confused.

"Mina saved my life." Oliver put in, speaking Majikadai as he wrapped his arms around his saviors waist and set his head on his shoulder. "I am very grateful that he helped me."
"I'm gonna have to say...no." Maddy said, eying Oliver's paws all over his son. He wasn't sure what the weirdo's intentions were. "What do you think about this Isis?" He asked his mate.

Mina blushed, as he was want to do, but otherwise didn't comment on the contact. Isis looked at the tall male. "He says Mina saved his life, and that he's grateful." he explained to his mate before questioning Oliver. "How did you come to be here?" he asked in Jshiko, quite used to the language--Ferren and Drik'a having had taught him.

Oliver's eyes lit up to hear his own language and he turned to smile at Isis. "Trappers. I was someone dumped in the alley way by Mina's home." He explained. "I don't know how I got there, but I would have died without your son."

"So you feel as if you owe him?" Isis said, "Or do you genuinely want to be with him?" he asked. If Mina had understood that,he'd have blown a gasket--stuttering and telling Isis that he had it all wrong--which he didn't.

Oliver looked confused for a moment, head cocked curiously before he nodded slowly. "Mina's mine." He replied simply, totally serious.
