Alyphic didn't budge an inch. There was no way in Zerca he would give this guy a lower rate. Four hundred dollars a month was as low as he'd go.
"Please, Mr. Whow, I'm a college student, I can't afford that much a month," begged the bugged eye alien enthsiust in front of his desk.
Alyphic took off his glasses and rubbed at his temples. This guy just wouldn't give up. "Look, Mr. Teir, I had a single mother of three come up this morning who was also attending college, yet somehow she can seem to afford this insurance. If you can't keep up with the rates than you would do better without. It's highly unlikely that out of the hundreds of reports we've had, that a splendid young man like yourself would ever need Alien Abduction Insurance."
The guy's mouth began to tremble and that's where Alyphic knew he had him. "Thank you very much for your service," he said as the man left. A few seconds later, the bell on his front door tinkered and he grinned. Time to make some money off of another pathetic soul.

Rage had came to Earth on vacation with his family for his younger brother's birthday. He and his twin had been sent out of the hotel room to look for what was called a grocrie store. What these grocries were, he would never know. All he knew was that they were food.
Some where along the walk, he and his brother got seperated and Rage was now lost. He was wondering the streets he was on trying to find his way back to the place he started.
"E-excuse me," he whispered to a stranger. The man gave Rage a strange look and kept on walking. As if he had not heard the boy.
Turning another corner, he came upon a building that had the words alian abductions insurance on it. He did not quite understand what it ment, but he figured he should see if they would help him out.
Walking into the store front, a bell rang signalling his enterance. Causing him to jump in fright. "Um," he whispered with a bright blush. "C-can you help me? I'm lost."

Alyphic looked at the costumer that entered and almost dropped the glasses he was trying to replace upon his head. The creature was beautiful! Putting on his most businessy smile, he got out from behind his desk and made his way to the small boy.
"Of course, it would be my pleasure to help you. Where is it you are trying to get too?"
Small cuties like this were always the easiest to convince to swindle money from. Yet, something pricked him at the thought of doing such a thing to this particular boy, but Alyphic just ignored it.

Rage looked down at the ground when the man stood and walked towards him. He was absolutely handsome. He felt drawn to him for some reason, he just could not put his finger on it. All he knew was that he liked the feeling and didn't want to lose it.
"I am looking f-for the Double Tree h-hotel," he stuttered out. “I-I’m just here for v-vacation.”
He looked up and took in his surroundings. “I-if you could j-just give me d-directions,” he said. “I would be on my way and let you get back to doing what ever it is that you were doing.”
He shifted his weight from one foot to another in a nervous habit. “If you’re busy, I can always leave,” he offered. “I don’t want to bother you if you’re busy.”

Alyphic squinted down at the small boy. The way the kid kept stumbling over his words annoyed him, yet also made him feel pained, but he didn't know why. There was this irking feeling that the reason was something wonderful that anyone should know, but years of living among the humans had left him numb to his Zercan instincts.
He really should just give the kid directions and let someone else deal with him when he got lost again seeing as their was no profit if the guy was just here on vacation, but it had been a long day and Alyphic needed a break. "Sure, I'll escort you," he said opening the door for the smaller boy making sure to hold the handle with a kleenex so his skin didn't make contact.

Rage gave a small smile up at Alyphic, he was the first one that had actually helped him out. "You're not human are you?" he asked all of a sudden. He felt something coming from him. And it was not the same feeling he got from the humans. His eyes widened when he recognized the feeling. “You’re Zercan,” he whispered in surprise.
After recognizing one of the feelings, he recognized what the one from before. He had just found what many of his people had only dreamed about. What he had dreamed about since he could remember. He had found his mate.
“I’ve found you,” he muttered as he took a step towards the other. “I’ve finally found you.”

Alyphic just widened his eyes at the small guy before his eye began to twitch in irritation. He cursed all his Zercan instincts and the way of his race. He had run away from all of that. How was it possible that by chance his destined mate had found him all the way out here?
Sighing, Alyphic asked, "What is your name?"

"R-Rage," he answered quickly. "W-what is your name?"
He took a step back in fear when he saw the irritation in his mates eye. He had learned long ago that when someone got irritated with him, he ended up beaten. He didn't want to upset his mate. "D-did I do something wrong?" he asked in a frightened voice.

Alyphic jerked at the sudden sense of fear he felt inside him and noticed it was coming from his now mate.
"My name's Alyphic," he answered stepping out of the building, "and no, you've done nothing to irritate me yet. I just wasn't expecting to meet my mate on this of all planets."

"O-oh," he said as he followed Alyphic to the street. "A-are you sure?"

Alyphic waved his head dimissedly as he made his way down the street. "Yeah, yeah. Let's just get you to where you're going and we'll go over the specific of this mating thing there. Where was it you were going again?"
He could feel the knawing of want slowly tearing at his insides that came with finding his mate as a giver, but he fought it down. He wanted to get Rage back to where his family was as soon as possible then maybe he wouldn't have to go through with this. There were two things he had told himseld he'd never do -- Raise a kit on Earth and go back to Zerca.
But, more than likely, he was going to have to break one of those promises.

Rage followed Alphic down the street. "The Double Tree," he told him.

"Right, the Double Tree," Alyphic repeated walking quickly. He didn't know how Rage had gotten lost, that specific hotel was only a street over.
Once at the Double Tree, Alyphic turned to Rage, a hand running through his hair, and said, "Here we are, will you get lost getting to your room, or will you be alright?"

That comment hurt for some reason. Looking down he shook his head. "I-I'll be alright," he whispered. Trying to hold back the tears.
"Thank you for helping," he said as he turned and started to make his way into the hotel. Head still turned towards the ground.

Alyphic chewed on his bottom lip. He could feel the hurt he'd caused Rage and see it just as clearly. He didn't want to get closer than needed to Rage, but he didn't want to hurt him either.
"Wait, I'll walk you up," Alyphic said grabbing hold of Rage's wrist just lightly enough to get him to stop.
