He waited till he was out of the room before closing Lukes door and fixing Gabriel with a cold glare "What are your intentions towards my brother...."
"Raspberry with chocolate frosting huh?" He chuckled, getting the ingredients for the frosting.

Gabe had his hands in his pockets, looking laid back though his body was rigid as he returned Asch's glare. "He's my mate." Gabe shrugged. He had thought he was making this up, but the moment he said it, he knew it was true. Yikes.
"Well, of course." Raven laughed. "That's the only flavors to used."

His eyes narrowed more "Mate huh....thats bold talk for hardly knowing him..." An angry protective older brother was not on the list of good points with Luke.
He chuckled, getting the stuff ready to make the chocolate icing "The raspberry fillings in the fridge, we just gotta make the pastry first"

"I know him enough." Gabe pointed out boldly. "Don't tell me you hung off when you found your mate."
"I got it, I got it." Raven nodded, blond curls bouncing as he began to roll the dough for the pastries.

"Considering I have more decency and self control then you, yes...and no, you dont know him enough" He wasnt gonna relinquish his brother so easily it seemed.
He chuckled, making the frosting quickly enough, getting started on some other fillings that had to be made from scratch.

Gabe snorted. "I highly doubt that. Maybe I should just ask your mate and see what he says." Well, Gabe wasn't giving Luke up at all. Asch was starting to get on his nerves.
Finally, with the pastries done and cooked, Raven began filling them in expert fashion.

"Youll get the same answer, I find lying to be for weak idiots" He glared "Its one thing if my brother chooses you himself though the likeliness of that happening is almost zero...you can try, I doubt anything will come of it..." That said he left the hallway, most likely leaving Gabe more then a tad irritated.
Guy continued making pastries and fillings until they had the desired amount and more.

If Asch had his way it just might. Luke had woken blearily "Huh?" He blinked, sitting up and clearing his eyes "Gabe?"
Guy smiled "Indeed, to get it all done before midnight without interruption is a miracle within itself" He chuckled.

"Your brother...wanted to speak with me." Gabe replied with a wince.
"It's no big deal. I don't mind." Raven smiled in declination. "I'm just glad that Luke is going to have a fun birthday."

He blinked tiredly "Asch? Why would he want to speak to you? He hates talking to people he doesnt know unless necessary...."
"I do...I also want it to be an apology for how I acted...I guess I worry more for Luke then I thought" He chuckled "Lukes never had a decent birthday...its was always what his parents wanted for him and never what he wanted"

"He was just trying to scare me away from you." He told Luke honestly. "Just being a good big brother."
Raven brushed the apology aside. "It's fine. Don't worry about it." He smiled. "And it's good he has someone like you to care about him."
