Sabrael giggled and helped Lapisiel tear at the colored paper is was wrapped in. Their little fingers finally produced a fine leather satchel that was filled to brimming with the finest, home made sweets from one of the stalls in town. Sabrael's eyes went as wide as saucers, and he held it up for his mamma and daddy to see before dumping it, picking out a piece.
"You pick now," he told Lapisiel. "Then everyone can pick."
((Mom said if I help clean up the house tonight, I can have ALLLLLLLLLLLLLL FRICKING DAY OFF TOMORROW! Whoot! So, i'll try to get on like...late. I'll let you know if i can't, but all day tomorrow we can play with cute munchkin <333333))

((Hopefully I won't have to go to work tomorrow, since the roads will be about 1-4" of ice))
The other children whined when they saw the sweets, but the second the eldest spoke the words 'everyone' and 'pick' they were on the spilled sweets like attack dogs.
Lapisiel, like always, was pushed aside and fell onto his rump, sniffling before he began to cry again. He got up and hurried to his father, bawling.
The life-bearers held their breaths, not daring to open their mouths. They all knew full well that the King would handle the punishment for this, and they weren't about to over-step their bounds.
That was one thing that their mate had said would be his, and only his duty; punishment.

((Oh man, I hope you don’t have to go. That’s terrible to drive in. And I won’t be on tonight, I’m going to be working until nearly 12:00. She just has that much junk >_< I will be on pretty much all day, unless I work on my dolls for a bit ^___^))
Zadkael knew that there would be trouble as soon as Sadrael had opened the gift. He just hadn’t known that Lapisiel would be the odd one out yet again. He reached down to his sobbing son, and plucked him from the floor, holding him against him before passing him to Leenaiel.
“Get him calmed, he’ll get something.” He nodded before moving to the brawling group of boys. “Enough!” His voice was loud, booming, and the boys froze. Sadrael made a noise, looking up at his father as innocently as the rest of them were.
“I believe Sadrael said ONE piece, and I don’t think that was a que to tear over here and knock your brother about. Everyone put the candy back. Until dinner is over, none of you will get a piece. Now, go over and apologize to Lapisiel.” He pointed to the still hiccupping child, watching Sadrael guiltily gather up his candy.

The children murmured a universal reply, all sitting next to their mothers, suddenly withdrawn.
When their father yelled, no matter how small a threat, just the man's voice was enough to get them to behave for long periods.
Leenaiel pet his son's hair, drying his cheeks.
"Sorry Lapis..." the chorused.
His mother nudged him slightly, and the 4 year old sniffled, "s'kay..."

"Alright, now, you'd best behave today if you want to be there for Sabrael at his party. All of you. Sabrael, let your mother hold onto that," he nodded towards the candy, and Sabrael gladly crawled up and buried himself against his mother, holding the candy up for him.
Zadkael lookd around the great hall, at the many gifts and the mess from people walking in here.
"Come now, lets go and let the servants do their jobs in here." He didn't have much of anything else to do. He'd cleared the day so he could spend time with Sabrael. His son wasn't old enough to learn the ways of the palace.
((I LOST my glasses! Ahhh XD Well..atleast i can seen close things without them, but im scrrrrreeeewwwwed for seeing far away >_< Gots to find them!))

((LMAO I hate when that happens, although without mine I really can't see anything... Did you check next to your compy, or on the floor around where you normally put them?? Usually they are in plain sight...wait...you can't see XD HAHAHA =X ))
Raimiael took the candies and stood along with the other bearers and children, slowly parading out of the room.

((Lmao. I found them, complete with doggy slobber and stuffed into the far reaches between by bed and the wall XDD One of my dogs had to have piced them up off my dresser last night, and laid down to have a good chew XD))
Zadkael waited a moment after they'd left to follow. He had the decorating of the hall to over see, and to make sure the servants would have the food ready and waiting. It was not going to be a big party. Just something for the boys, and for his mates to relax away from having to watch the children.
((My posts are crap...you can skip the party if'n you want, so we can play with kiddies <3 I lurve them all!~))

((ew....))
---Next Day---
"Okay, General Sabrael and Lt. General Dadaniel!" whispered Elimiel loudly as he and his twin set down the water filled stomach skins. The two saluted their older brothers.
"We're ready for attack!" Ethliel said.
Dadaniel nodded and looked to his older brother, "General, we only need to wait for Captain Cabriel to come back and let us know the whereabouts of the enemy camp."
---
"Mmm...this is nice...." sighed Aliel.
The other mates groaned slightly in agreement. They were bathing in the large, steamy bath near the King's chambers.
"It feels nice to relax finally..." Zainaiel said, leaning back against Jinaniel who began to play with his hair.
"And without the little terrors running amok." he said, the others laughing in agreement.

"Alright, then take your posts and be ready to move out," Sabrael ordered, grinning madly, half giggling with the sillines of it all. They'd even managed to dredge up some sort of battle armor from things around the room-and had promised the servants they wouldn't break it.
The twins knelt down with the water skins, brows drawn in concentration, waiting for orders like the good soldiers they were.

Cadfiel finally came back, saluting. "Sir! I have spotted the enemy! He is commanding his soldiers inside a little house! I have surveyed the area, and he will not see us coming from the...door and left window area!"

Sabrael grinned. "Okay. Lt. General Dadaniel take Cadfiel and Elimiel and attack from the door on my signal. Ethliel, you come with me, we'll come in from the window! Now, and be quiet!" They all nodded, saluting, before the twins each picke up a skin, hefting it along with their respective parties.
Sabrael led his group on a round about walk to the outer balcony of the palace. He limbed up over, helping Ethliel with the water skin, before hopping onto the balcony outside Lapisiel's room.
He took his place, waiting to see Dadaniel outside the door.

Dadaniel, Cadfiel and Elimiel took up positions outside the door, waving to Sabrael to show they were ready, raising up their pouches of water.
Lapisiel, the target, was sitting in the middle of his room, playing with two dolls, putting them inside the little house of wood.

Sabrael waved his hand before raising it, and bringing it down. They all rushed out with battle cries, Elimiel and Ethliel taking up the lead, dumping the cold water down upon Lapisiel and his doll house.
"Direct hit! The target has been vanquished!" Sabrael cried out in victory.

Dadaniel and Cadfiel also nailed Lapisiel with their own weapons, all whooping along with Sabrael.
Lapisiel had screamed at first, then he began to cry, and loudly at that. "M---Mama....!! P---Papa...!!" he wailed.
"Oh stop crying!!" Dadaniel snapped, frowning now that their celebration was ruined.
"You're such a baby!!" Cadfiel joined in, reaching down and tugging on Lapisiel's little bun of hair.

"Yeah, not even Orifiel cries as much as you," Ethliel frowned, tossing his sopping water skin at his twin.
"Come on Lapisiel, it was just a game. You can just get changed," Sabrael grumbled.
