But...!!
He was suddenly far too tired to try and be modest... He really was exhausted... His eyes slipped closed and he slipped down a bit, dead asleep.

Zadkael was loathe to disturb him, but he doubted he could. He gently adjusted him, laying Sabrael at his side. He stoo to call a nurse to bring a bassinet to lay his son in, and somethign for the boy to eat if he woke.

Zadkael did not leave. Not even to be present at the announcing. He stayed at Raimiael's side until he woke the next morning.
///7 Years Later///
Zadkael stared out at the sea of villagers come to present their problems, and gifts for Sabrael's birthday. The boy was perched on Raimiael's lap, whom was lounging on pillows to his left. His other mates, were lined up along beside Raimiael, all with a child, or two, clinging. He had eight sons ranging from Sabrael's seven years down.
"Mama....this is boring." Sabrael whispered, those his eyes were bright as a gift was set before his father.
Today he would have a party. A small party...probably with his father and mother, and maybe his siblings. Maybe even the other mommies...he didn't like alot of them....But his daddy said he was to behave around them, and to be kind to his brothers.

"...I know, dearest..." he said, petting down his hair, patting the sleeping Hamaliel's head as his 2 year old son snoozed against his hip.
The other children weren't any better... The younger ones and the babes were dead to the world, whilst Dadaniel, Cabriel and the two twins, Elimiel and Ethliel wore scowls. They were bored out of their minds!! They had things to do, people to terrorize with their brother!!
Sweet little Lapisiel was the only one staring wide-eyed at everything, tugging on his mother's sleeve, attempting to whisper--but being unsuccessful--about all the big presents, and that he wanted some too. Leenaiel kept trying to shush him softly, stroking cute little brown braids.

Zadkael glanced over at his row of sons, at Sabrael's bright eyes and eager grin. It would all be done with soon....and so it was. The last villager scuttled out of the room, and the guards closed the doors to anymore before they could sneak in. Sabrael lept from his mother to the floor, with a whoop of glee. "Papa!" He cried in relief.
"Sabrael," Zad stood, giving his son a reprimanding look, stopping him in his tracks. "You're not to just rush out here. What if I hadmore business?"
Sabrael looked around with big eyes before pouting.
"Kay," he grumped.

Raimiael made a small face as he let a nurse take Hamaliel to put to bed, Sabaiel, and Zainaiel following after the nurse with their dozing boys.
"But papa!! Look at all his presents!!!!" Dadaniel shouted, leaping up off his pillow and almost tackling his older brother.
"Yeah!!" Cabriel joined in, peeking at the gifts with the twins following suit."
"Boys... Come along..." Aliel tried, looking apologetically to the King as he tried coaxing the twins.
"Papa!!! Papa!!!" Lapisiel cried, rushing up to him and tugging his tunic, far too fast for Leenaiel to catch him. "I want pressie too!!!"

"Ah...i know you do." He swooped down to scoop the identical boys up into his arms, waving off Aliel. "However...today is Sabrael's birthday, and all of these gifts are his. Perhaps you can play later with him. You want to go to his party, don't you?" He asked, and Sabrael's face brightened, his mood restored, even as he was brought down under Dadaniel.
"A party!" He squealed in joy.

"YES!!!!" Dadaniel cheered happily.
Cadfiel and the twins let out shouts, the twins wriggling until they got down and racing around the room screaming cheers.
Leenaiel picked up his son, bowing slightly to the King. "I will take him on then, Majesty." He bowed slightly to the high mate as well and went to the doors, a guard opening them and moving to follow.
"B---but Mommy..." Lapisiel sniffled. He... He wanted pressies...
His mother smiled softly as they moved down the hall. "I know sweetheart... But such things are only for Life-Givers I'm afraid."
The little boy sniffled, still not understanding fully. He was only 4...!
---
Raimiael watched them go. Out of all of the other mates... He was only slightly jealous of Leenaiel.. The other bearer was quiet and reserved, and knew his place perfectly. He was mature and beautiful as well... Actually having been a High Class Noble's son... He was picked out by the Advisers...
He started when Khalil managed to get Dadaniel off the heir to the throne, scolding the boy gently.
His face had healed well, the scar almost invisible lest one looked close enough.

"It's alright, Khalil, Sabrael is unharmed. Fun and games for those two." He picked up Sabrael when he came scampering over, and picked up a present to show him. His sons' face went alight and he took it, begging to open it.
"Not until later....unless your mamma says that you can."
"Mamma!" Sabrael called across the room in pleading, his eyes big and watery, lower lip jutting out. Zadkael chuckled setting him down, watching the seven year old scamper off to dance about Raimiael.

Raimiael laughed, "Alright, go ahead." he said.
---
"Lapisiel! Please, stop...!" Leenaiel called as he scurried after his son. The second he'd set him down, the little one had run off, back to the throne room where he was finally snatched up by his mother. "Lapis... Darling, come now..." he tried softly.
The boy shook his head and began to cry loudly. "I wa' papa!!!" he sobbed. He wanted to sing birthday songs to Sabrael!!! And Papa had to give him a pressie too!!! He wanted sweets too!!! "I wa' Sab'ael!!" he cried harder.
"Shhh..." he shushed, kissing his red cheeks as he turned to go back down the halls again, the guard still there.
---
They all started when the sobs began, and Raimiael looked worried and then looked to Zadkael, biting his lip. Any life-bearer knew how it felt being left out... And...it was Sabrael's birthday... And even if he were jealous of Leenaiel, Lapisiel was the sweetest little boy.
"Sabrael....go open the door and ask if Lapisiel can stay." he said quietly, so only the boy could hear. "He really loves you, and you want your little brothers here, right?"

Sabrael looked to where his father was organizing presents, and whom glanced up when the sobs began. After a second, he looked back to his mother and nodded. "Yeah...here," He set the half open gift in his mothers lap before running for the door. He pushed through the curtain, dodged around the guards' lehs, and caught up to Leenaiel withut trouble.
He caught his clothing, tugging gently, his eyes wide. "Leenaiel mamma....can Lapisiel stay with me? Pleeeeeeeease?" He asked, troubled by his brothers crying. Even if he didn't like the other mothers all that much...his mommy was the best, he loved all of his brothers. They were the best friends he had...the only friends he had.
Zadkael stood when his son went tearing ut of the room, mucles tensed to go after him, before he relaxed. Raimiael would have been tearing off before him if he hadn't sent him.
"You're going to spoil Lapisiel," he teased, coming to sit down on the small platform where his mates sat. "I have each of them something, but they can't have it until the party." He was rather fond of Lapisiel. He was adorably sweet and cute. Most innocent out of his brood of terrors. Besides the baby, of course.

Raimiael blushed slightly at the accusation that he was spoiling a son not his own.
"Majesty, Lapisiel is the only Bearer, and he is so sweet..." Jinaniel said, glancing to the King from where he had been watching the rains pour down.
Aliel sat down next to the King and rubbed his shoulders. "It's our duty to spoil him."
Dadaniel darted away from his mother once again to pounce on Cabriel who shouted, twisting around and tackling him, the two tousling on the floor.
"Dadaniel!" Khaliliel snapped, causing the older boy to stop dead in his actions and slink over to his mother. "Majesty, thank you for getting them something. They will be thankful." he said gratefully, despite the fact he was tugging Dadaniel's ear to make him sit down harshly.
All the mothers helped each other, actually. Each one looking out for the others' children when needed.
---
Leenaiel stopped and looked down at the heir to the throne, Lapisiel sniffling in his arms. He smiled softly down at Sabrael, "If you would like him to stay, he may." he replied. "Hear that, Lapis?" he cooed, drying round cheeks with his fingers. "You can stay. Now, say 'thank you' to your brother, hm?"
He nodded, lower lip still trembling, although his cries had stopped. "...tha'k you..." he mumbled, rubbing his eye with a fist. His mother set him down so he could cling to the Heir's hand.
((LOL Raimiael=Shy mommy, Khaliliel=Fun but stern mommy, Aliel=Confident/Strict mommy (must be with twins, yes?), Jinaniel=Guilt trip mommy, Leenaiel=Perfect/Respectful/Peaceful mommy, Zainaiel=Fun mommy, and Sabaiel=Ghost-like mommy (super quiet unless angry))

"I suppose," he sighed softly, the Aliel's fingers doing wonders for his shoulders and back. "And there's no need to thank me for getting them a gift. They too are my sons. They will not get parties like this. They're too young to understand yet, why, so it's only right." He smiled a bit at Dadaniel. Had he thought he would have this many sons, back when he'd first taken the throne, he would have called himself crazy. To have all of them be givers but one was a blessing and curse in and of itself. He would have enjoyed more bearers, but it was fine.
/// "Thank you!~" He smiled brightly, making sure he had hold of his brother's hand tightly before turning to go with him. "Come on Lapisiel...you can help me open one of my present!" He offered to the tiny boy, hurrying back to the room with him. The uard held open the curtain for the two prince's, and Sabrael waved to his mamma.
"Can he help open my gift??" He asked, crawling up onto the platform, helping the toddler up behind him.

Khalileil blushed slightly along with the others, Aliel the only one simply ignoring the conversation. After all, he was still working on the King for a new gold sash. The hellions had ruined his favorite one a week ago.
Sabrael came thundering in with the little bearer hurrying behind him, and Raimiael smiled a bit when he asked if Lapisiel could help open his gift.
"It's your gift... You can have him help if you want." he said fondly.
Leenaiel slowly came into the room, bowing slightly and taking his place on the dais upon his pillow. "Thank you, Raimiael." he said quietly.
Raimiael smiled a bit at him, "He's too sweet to miss out." he whispered back.
Lapisiel screamed happily when his eldest brother told him to tear into the gift. The other children were finally rounded up by Khaliliel and one of Sabrael's nurses, and forced to sit upon their pillows like good little children.
