He was running, faster than one would imagine possible. Loose pants billowed against his legs as Jet pushed through various plants which seemed determined to tangle themselves in his hair and clothing, scratching his bare chest.
He leapt over a cracked branch, grinning as the adrenaline beat viciously in his ears. He could hear the floundering and curses of his pursuers as they attempted to catch the lithe man.
Looking back, it probably hadn't been a very good idea to pick a fight with one of the most powerful gang leaders hanging around his neighborhood, but boy was it ever fun.
Jet halted suddenly, dirt rising as he skidded to a stop. There was no noise indicating the clumsy trackers behind him, implying that the poor guys had finally given up.
He slumped backwards against a convenient tree trunk, breathing heavily and scrabbling at the bark with his fingers. He allowed his body to collapse to the ground, back still supported and looked down at his scratched and bleeding arms.
Jet grinned mischievously, shaking shaggy red hair out of his shining eyes impatiently and rose his head to come practically nose to nose with a. Very. Large. Cat.
As he stood stock still, body still trembling from earlier activities, one foolish thought floated through his mind.
'I didn't know snow leopards were native to this area...'

Kaelin took the flute away from his lips and sighed. He was so stressed out about his piano recital in a week that he could not even enjoy playing his new silver-plated flute.
Deciding to go for a run instead, he took off his clothes and placed them in the chair he was sitting in. He exited his music studio room and stepped onto his back porch. Breathing in the warm air, he leapt off his porch. A large snow leopard landed in his place on the forest floor, running off in a direction away from the town.
About five miles out, Kaelin smelled humans coming his way. He slowed his run and jumped into a nearby tree. Soon after, a tall red-headed boy ran past his tree, followed by three bigger guys. Ignoring the way his stomach flittered at the sight of the green eyed boy, he jumped down form the tree and followed them. They were quickly coming upon his house, and he did not want them invading his land.
Getting into a pouncing position, he jumped and attacked one of the three gentlemen following the redhead. Staring down into wide eyes, he growled effectively scaring the shit out of all three of them. He leapt aside and stared them down as they ran back into town. Looking back in the direction of his house, he vaguely saw the redhead collapse against a tree trunk, his head down. Unconsciously, Kaelin walked up to him. He stopped not even three feet in front of him when his deep black eyes met with frightened green. His heart seemed to have stopped, and all he could think was ‘Wow…’ he couldn’t help taking another step towards the boy. He wanted to be closer to him. So much closer.

Jet prided himself on his bravery, purely because he didn't scream in the leopards face and/or attempt to run. Then again, that might have just been self-preservation.
He shrunk back slightly as the huge cat padded forward quietly, wishing he could mold into the tree. Jet took a couple of deep breaths and sat as still as possible, before deciding to break the uncanny silence, because really, if it was going to eat him it should really have the grace to do it quickly, instead of observing.
"I really hope you aren't intending to eat me, because that'd really put a stint on my life plans, ya know? Besides, I bet I wouldn't taste nice, not to mention I'd upset your stomach."
Very slowly he reached out a hand to the leopard, feeling as though he was merely about to pet a kitten. His hand landed softly on its head, just between its ears and scratched softly there.
"It'd be pretty awesome if you didn't bite my hand off too, I really didn't mean to intrude. I'm actually feel quite stupid now, petting something that could eat me in one bite, not to mention talking to it. I'm probably in shock."
He felt almost as though he was asleep, carressing the ears of something unable to hurt him.
The moment was broken by a mosquito landing on his nose, and he pouted, eyes crossed in an attempt to see it. He didn't dare lift his other hand, not wanting to appear as a threat to the leopard, and just hoped that if he twitched his nose enough, it would get sick of the movement and fly off.

When the boy’s hand landed on Kaelin’s head, he barely stopped himself from groaning. He did not want to scare the boy. But man, the boy’s touch was like that of a God’s and he was doing wonders with erasing Kaelin’s stress. He couldn’t keep himself from purring when the boy spoke though, his voice a pure alto tone that made Kaelin’s cock twitch. He did not even hear what the boy was saying. He was too busy trying not to collapse from the pleasure.
He did notice the fly land on the nose between those beautiful green eyes, and he laughed to himself as he watch the boy try to wiggle it off his nose without moving his hands. Quickly thinking of a way to get it off without completely terrifying the boy, he closed the distance between them. Unable to think of anything, he threw all caution the wind and nudged the boy’s cheek with his nose. The stubborn fly still didn’t move, even after a few more nudges. Fed up, he blew air through his nose at the fly, finally getting it off that beautiful nose.
Satisfied, Kaelin grinned as he looked into those deep green eyes. His expression flattened out as he lost himself in that gaze. It was almost as if the boy could see into his soul, and he into the boy’s. He couldn’t stop himself from once again nudging the soft skin of the redhead’s cheek with his nose again, his body so close to the boy’s that Kaelin was blocking exit possibilities. He laid his head against a beautifully tanned shoulder and took in his scent, shuddering at the almost earthy smell – almost like jasmine. ‘Oh God help me’ he thought as he rubbed his face into the shoulder.

Jet tensed as the leopard moved forward, sure that it was going to chew on his face or something equally gorey. He lay like a ragdoll, head moving slightly when the creature nudged his cheek, then, to his utter suprise, blew on that ridiculously annoying and persistent fly.
The leopards eyes were captivating, and Jet had unimaginable trouble attempting to look away, which was quickly solved when the large cat laid its head on Jet's naked shoulder.
All the tenseness Jet hadn't noticed he was holding vanished in a loud sigh, and he practically collapsed on his new friend, one arm wrapped over its back and his face buried in its soft neck.
He shivered slightly in the crisp air on his bare back, and huddled slightly closer, fully aware that over-crowding it would probably lead to him missing a limb, even though it seemed...Friendly?
Jet chuckled into its fur, thinking about the strangeness of this situation; fighting with several very important men, running into some random woods in the hopes of losing them, and cuddling up with a snow leopard.
"I should be going."
Despite his comment, Jet made no inclination to move, far to comfortable wrapped around the leopard.

Kaelin cuddled closer to the red-headed boy, memorizing his scent. He just couldn’t get enough of it. ‘I wonder what name goes with this lovely scent,’ he thought as he took in the scent once more.
At the boy’s words, he looked up at the sky and noticed that the day was almost up. Kaelin slowly lifted his head, regretting it almost instantly at the loss of warmth.
Not knowing whether or not the boy knew his way back to time, Kaelin slowly walked back in that direction. He turned and looked back at the boy, waiting for him to follow. ‘I hope he gets that I’m leading him to town, and not out to slaughter him or something.’ He smirked to himself at the thought.

He felt the leopard lift its head slightly and back up. It took all of Jet's self control not to throw himself around it again so it wouldn't leave.
He pouted slightly as it started walked away, and looked hesitantly around him, coming to the infuriating conclusion that he had no idea where he was or how to get back to his apartment.
...That leopard was definitely smirking at him. It was probably planning on having him as a snack. Then again, it did look as though it was waiting for something... Jet slowly got to his feet, eying its claws with trepidation, before slowly walking towards it.
"I really hope that now 'cuddles' time is over, you aren't intending to eat me. "
He walked up to it and laid his hand on the soft neck, twining his fingers slightly in its fur. He grinned, looking down affectionatly at the leopard, even though its teeth were pretty deadly looking.
"I'd appreciate a fast death if that is what you are intending, otherwise, lead on."

Shaking his head lightly as what the boy says, Kaelin walked slowly back to town, trying not to lose concentration. Those fingers went to work again and his focus was on the way out.
The walk back to town was a quiet one; only the sounds of crickets and night birds filled the atmosphere. During that time, Kaelin was wondering if he would ever see the boy again. Even if they did see each other, the redhead would not know that it was him. He was much more outgoing as a leopard then he ever was as a person. He would never get up the courage to talk to him. Oh, what he wouldn’t give for the boy’s name. At least with that, he could track him down later.
Sighing softly, he savored the few more moments that they had together before they hit the town. He could already smell the smoke food stands coming from it. Kaelin stopped as they reached the edge of the forest, his white fur glistening in the street lights. Looking up at the redhead, his gaze was once again locked onto mesmerizing green eyes. He walked towards the boy in an almost trance-like state, effectively backing him into a nearby tree.
Still staring into those beautiful eyes, Kaelin rose up onto his legs pressing his fore paws against the boy’s chest. Slowly, he leaned in and licked the redhead’s left cheek. Closing his eyes, he nuzzled against the boy’s shoulder, inhaling his scent for what he thought was the last time. He dropped back to the ground and looked once more into the boy’s eyes before running back to his house, his heart clenching all the way there.

He flinched at the giant paws on his shoulders, but giggled quietly at the nuzzle to his cheek. All mirth was cut short, however, when he met the leopards eyes for possibly the last time, and before he could say anything or move, it was gone.
He stilled his wobbling lip with an effort, growing incresingly depressed with the sudden departure, and squared his shoulders before stomping off in the direction of his apartment.
He dodged several obstacles with the fluid grace required of one living in the 'bad' part of town. He stiffened his jaw and hardened his eyes, refusing to show weakness to the jeering masses of homeless.
Upon reaching his apartment he locked his door and flopped on the bed, allowing a pout to cross his face. He soon fell asleep, curled around a pillow that was almost the shape of the leopard, but not quite.

Arriving back at home, Kaelin sighed as he closed his back door. He entered the music room, gathered his clothes, and took them up to his room. He looked around at the silver walls with black painted music staves with red notes, and could only think of the redhead. His heart clenched again, but he ignored it as he got ready for bed.
He lay down and got under his midnight blue covers, trying not to dread the day ahead of him. Not only was it one more day closer to his recital, but the chance of him seeing the redheaded green-eyed boy again was slim. He fell asleep, a single tear escaping his right eye.
---------
Saturday came too quickly as the early morning sun shined through Kaelin’s bedside window. A black eye opened to look at the alarm clock on the side table. Seeing it was 8:27 a.m. and he had to get up in three minutes anyway, he sat up. Wiping his eyes, he checked his phone to see if he had any messages from Jason or his boss, Ronny. Since he didn’t, he got up and went to take a shower. Thoroughly wishing his hair and body, he got out and brushed his teeth.
He ran through the list of things he needed to do today: Go to work, practice for his recital, go grocery shopping, call his parents. He thought of what he needed to buy as he combed through his long white hair. Braiding it, he looked through his different pairs of color contacts. Normal people would not react well to deep black cat eyes. Deciding on the blue ones, since they go well with his outfit today, he finished getting ready for work. Sporting dark wash blue jeans and a black fitted short-sleeved Mozart t-shirt with silver writing, he grabbed his wallet and his keys and was on his way to work.

Jet frowned and pulled out the ridiculous looking piggy-tails his semi-students had carefully placed in his hair while he was unconscious. Falling asleep at his workbench had been entirely to easy, having hardly slept the previous night at all.
He paced through the art room, dodging the cranky old art teacher who had hired him and singling several students out with a pronounced glare that implied he knew quite well who had been the cause of his most recent hairdo.
Jet hadn't intended to work today, thinking he had a free day to sleep in and watch gore movies, but Mr Tazh had insisted on his help with controlling some of the rowdier students. Besides, it would give him time to play with the charcoal and decide what he was going to submit to an upcoming contest.
The redhead dodged a well aimed eraser and resisted the urge to fly over the workbenches and attack the culprit, Jeremy Mitchell, who was looking entirely too smug.
He waited until the remaining stragglers had filed out of the room, offering the occasional apologetic grin for various pranks they'd pulled, before tearing off his apron and washing his hands relatively clean of paint and charcoal.
By the time he had escaped Mr Tazh, it was getting fairly dark and he was in a very foul mood. He mounted his bike and made his way to one of his most cherished bars, kicking the stand down and glaring moodily at everyone who met his gaze.

Kaelin was restocking the 80’s CDs when Jason walked in, yelling “Good evening, my night owls!” Jason’s brown hair was pulled back in a small ponytail, along his rich hazel eyes to shine. He had on some leather pants that clung to his legs and a red Disturbed sleeveless shirt on under a long sleeved fishnet top. He had his belly button ring and his two left eyebrow piercing in as well. All in all, he looked like he was going out tonight.
Kaelin shook his head in shame and kept working until that blazing red Disturbed shirt appeared in his line of vision. Jason was smiling – no, scratch that. He was grinning – at Kaelin, which he took to only be a bad thing. Usually Jason only sported that grin when he was conning Kaelin into doing something.
“So,” Jason began, “You coming to the bar tonight? It’s free drinks until midnight.”
Kaelin finished sticking the CDs and cut off the back lights before turning to Jason. “You understand that I have no interest going to this place.”
“Right.”
“And yet you ask anyway.”
“Right.”
Sigh. “I have nothing to wear.”
“You know the deal.” Kaelin nodded, and locked up the store before heading to Jason’s house.
30 minutes later, Kaelin was wearing a tight black long sleeved shirt and light wash jeans. His hair was down, falling seductively over both shoulders. He and Jason were standing just inside Moe’s All-Nighter Bar. They decided to go get something to drink and then find a seat.

Jet had mastered the art of looking deceptively drunk, despite the fact he could probably drink most of the men in this bar under the table. It helped when he was in the mood to find someone to have a one night stand with, and also with picking fights - both of which he was highly skilled in.
Tonight, however, he was not looking for a bedmate, just an equally drunk fool to fight with for a while, before slinking back to his apartment to nurse his ego.
It also helped that he was still dressed in his somewhat intimidating rider leathers, complete with very tight fitting pants and combat boots. He had discovered that 'pretty' men in seductive clothing were often more targeted, because they were considered weak by the supposedly 'butch'.
His eye was caught by two new arrivals, one looking as though his ego was probably twice the size of the building and the other relatively uninterested.
Jet slid fluidly off the barstool and started to make his way toward the two, just to be halted by something that was undoubtedly a grope. He grinned and cracked his neck quietly in preparation, before spinning around and awarding the lecherously grinning man a taste of his thick combat boot.
With a little bit of work and some strategic planning, he had no doubt he could work this fight over to the cocky brunet newcomer, and successfully start a highly amusing bar fight.
His opportunity arose when his assailant was lined up directly in place to be pushed into the brunet, and pushed he was.

Kaelin and Jason were about to head over to the counter to get something to drink when some guy was pushed onto Jason. Short tempered already, he was even angrier now. He picked to dude up by his collar, bringing him to eye level.
“What the hell do you think you were doing, huh? Who gave you the idea that you can just go ahead and fall on people?” Jason was seething, and the guy looked effectively scared.
“I-It wasn’t m-me,” he stuttered. “H-He p-pushed me into y-you.” He said, pointing to the redhead behind him.
Kaelin’s heart skipped a beat as he looked at the redhead he met the night before. He had to consciously keep his eyes from widening as the green eyed boy looked at Jason and him. Damn, the boy’s body was made for leather. It hugged him in all the right places, and Little Kaelin was twitching up a storm just thinking about what the redhead would look like naked.
His thought process stopped when Jason tossed the dude that fell on him away and advanced on the redhead.
“You got a death wish?” Jason practically spat out, his body shaking with anger. “I barely step in the joint for a second and you decide to push a fucking idiot into me. What is your fucking problem?”

Jet was unimpressed by the display and merely rose an eyebrow, one hand on jutted out hip.
"My fucking problem? Well, that's the question, isn't it? At the moment, it's you."
He practically purred the words, smirk stretching across his face at the anger his victim was attempting to suppress. He took a few steps forward, sizing up his opponent and deciding whether or not he would have to strike first.
"As for the death wish, I highly doubt you could possibly bring me anywhere near the point." He considered briefly before adding for good measure, "Fucker."
That did it. Jet had no idea who moved first, but suddenly the two of them where trading blows, much to the crowds pleasure. He used his legs mostly, dodging and lashing out viciously, grinning sadistically at the movements of his choice for the night.
He wasn't slow so much as Jet was fast, no doubt due to having lived in a very untrustworthy part of town, subject to various beatings and other atrocities. He also suspected that the other man was also getting over the shock of having someone who looked less than fight worthy proving his suspicions wrong.
Jet leapt up at the table and gave the other a little finger wave before skidding out the door, leaving the angry man to find his own way to vent his frustration. He fell to a halt down the alley next to the bar, laughing at the poor fool who had approached him so rudely. Although, the redhead mused, now that he had time to think about it, his friend had been very pretty and yet haltingly familiar at the same time...
