Jet cuddled into Kaelin's chest happily, only to shoot back into a seating position at his next words.
"Pregnant!? I like the 'becoming one' part, but..."
He put his palm against Kaelin's forehead as though looking for a temperature before sending Kaelin a very dubious look and quirking his lips slightly. He dropped his hand to the back of Kaelin's neck and let it run distractedly through the beautiful strands, almost purring at the soft texture before remembering that he had been saying something very important.
"Kaelin, you realise that I don't actually posses a womb, right? 'Cause I hear that's very vital to the carrying of children."
He shifted slightly on Kaelin's lap, one eyebrow raised and hands running through the older man's hair with an expression that was quite obviously confused, and perhaps a little disturbed.

Kaelin closed his eyes and purred at the feel of jet’s fingers running through his hair. “That does not matter, love. Your body will change to accommodate our children.” He leaned into his mate’s hand, pulling him further into Kaelin’s lap.
“Well,” Kaelin stated, eyes still closed, “that was all I had to tell you before anything happens. Though, at some point in time, my parent would like to meet you. We should probably get that over with now. Then I have to get ready for work.”
He slowly leaned into Jet and kissed him passionately. Turning the redhead’s body gently to the left, Kaelin positioned Jet so that he was straddling the Zercan’s legs. He deepened the kiss by licking and nibbling Jet’s bottom lip, asking for entrance. He ground his hips into his mate’s as he devoured the mouth against his. On of the hands that was resting on the redhead’s waist moved up to fist his hair, and Kaelin growled into the kiss as he continued to grind his hips against Jet’s.
“Oh God,” Kaelin said, pulling only his head back, “if we don’t leave right now, I will take you on this couch right now. Plus its –,” looking over at the clock on the wall, “-already 3 o’ clock and I have to go to work at 6.”

Jet buried his face in Kaelin's neck, nibbling on the skin delicately and pushing his hips against Kaelin hungrily before turning his head to face Kaelin.
"Don't care. I don't want you to go."
He caught Kaelin's lips in another fiery kiss, one hand weaving through that delectable hair and the other steadily making its way under his shirt.
When his brain slowly caught up, he stole one last kiss before pushing himself off Kaelin, stumbling backwards and steadying himself against a wall.
"Right. Parents. Okay, just give me a second."

Kaelin, too, got up from the couch. “Be right back,” he stated as he walked to the back, up the stairs and into his room. It was a decently sized room, with a walk-in closet to his left and an office nook against the far wall. On his right was a mini entertainment center with a 50-inch flat screen TV and his game systems and in front of him is a soft, midnight blue bed with the picture of a wolf howling at the moon above it.
‘What do you wear to introduce your parents to your mate?’ Kaelin thought as he walked into his almost endless closet. Thinking back on what Jet was wearing, he decided to be casual. He braided his hair again and kept on his black jeans, but changed his shirt to a forest green color. Realizing that he left his house keys downstairs, he exited his room.
He met up with the redhead in the living room. Kaelin looked him up and down, before stating, “My parents live just about 3 miles from here, at 463 Weatherboat Lane.” He grabbed his keys and headed toward the door. ‘The sooner we do this, the sooner I get in his ass.’

Jet grabbed Kaelin's arm to stop him, chewing on his lip again and looking agitated.
"Kaelin...What if they don't like me? What if you don't like me? What if I say something really stupid, 'cause I do that a lot, in case you hadn't noticed."
He tugged on his hair and looked at Kaelin nervously, wondering what he was thinking. He probably thought Jet was a real idiot, and what if he was re-considering Jet as his mate?

Kaelin looked back at Jet when he graded his arm. He saw the redhead’s agitation, and smiled. ‘He’s really worried about this.’ Kaelin pulled Jet to him and gave him a tight hug, rubbing his nose into Jet’s neck.
“You are my mate, love. I could never not like you. We were made for each other. Never doubt my feelings for you, okay?” He pulled Jet away enough to kiss his softly on the lips. “I love you babe, and that’s set in stone.” He kissed the redhead one more time before pulling him towards to door. Putting his hand on the doorknob, he turned back and said, “My parents will be happy that I have a mate. Whether they like you or not will not factor into how much I love you. Remember that.”
Kaelin heads out to his driveway, stating, “We should probably take my car, just in case.” He walked up to his nicely kept silver Honda Civic Si and got in. Looking over at his mate, he smiled to himself. ‘My mate. I have a mate. It hasn’t really set in until now.’ Kaelin started the engine and pulled off.
They arrived at 463 Weatherboat Lane a little after 3:30pm, and Kaelin was starting to get a bit anxious. He got out of the car, and took Jet’s hand as they walked to the front door. ‘Here goes nothing,’ he thought as he knocked on the door.

Jet gripped Kaelin's hand harder, finding himself chewing on his lip nervously. He had taken out one of his ear piercings in the car and attempted to calm his unruly hair, failing miserably of course, but its the thought that counts, right?
This entire thing was surreal, and Jet found himself wondering whether he was dreaming, but even so, he didn't want to screw this one up. If it was a dream, it was a damn good one and it might end up happily.
The sudden sound of Kaelin knocking on the door ripped him out of his thoughts and he stepped slightly behind Kaelin without noticing, hand still clenched.

Kaelin heard some shuffling in the background before his father, Slaider, opened the door. His deep grey eyes were slightly clouded and his hair looking slightly ruffled, with tan, white, honey and black strands falling over his shoulders. He was wearing a pale blue bathrobe and black kitten slippers on his feet. All in all, he looked like he was having a great time a moment ago. He noticed that Kaelin’s eyebrow raised and said, “Hey, your mother was asking for it. Besides, I didn’t know you were heading over today. To what do I owe this surprise visit?”
Kaelin looked behind him at his mate, who seemed to be a bit weary about this whole thing. Gently pulling him to the side, he looked at his father. “Father, this is Jet.” He gave Jet’s hand a squeeze so that he would look up. Smiling at his redhead, he looked back at his father.
Slaider saw the look that his son had given the boy, and could only assume that this was his mate. Looking at the boy, he was slightly surprised. This ‘Jet’ wasn’t who he expected his son to be with. The boy had on a deep crimson shirt that brought out his equally bright hair, and black pants that seemed to be leaving little to the imagination. He also a nice bit of piercings on his person, though some weren’t in. He had nice green eyes, though. Thinking it over, he remembered that you can’t judge a person by the way they look; he just shrugged and said, “I see. Well, come on in.” Kaelin led Jet into the sitting room to the right of the entrance. He sat down next to his mate and hugged him to himself. “Don’t worry so much. You’ll be fine.” Just then, his mother was into the room, carrying a plate of warm chocolate cookies and four glasses of milk. Kaelin’s mother, David, had on a similar robe to Slaider, but it was pale green, making his short green hair stand out. His hazel eyes were wide and bright as he hugged his son. “Oh, Kaelin! It is sooo nice to see you around! Your father told me that you were here, and I nearly went crazy! When was the last time you past by? Too long ago, I can tell you that.”
His eyes then turned to Jet and they widened even more. “Is he your mate?!” Looking to Kaelin, he received a small nod. “He is so cuute!” David said, attaching himself to Jet, giving him a tight hug. “I’m so glad you’re here.” He pulled himself away and said, “Oh, I’m so sorry. I didn’t introduce myself. Hi, my name is David. I’m Kaelin’s mother.”

A furious blush grew on his face at Kaelin's father's appearance and choice of words, and he almost turned and ran when Kaelin pulled him forward. Feeling his mate's hand clenched firmly in his own stopped him from doing something stupid, instead looking up to meet the older man's eyes with a smile. The smile turned slightly nervous as he noticed his gaze flicking from his tight pants to his somewhat noticeable piercings.
At the arrival of the other parent, David, his eyes had widened slightly at the completely different welcomes. He tried to return the hug awkwardly and breathed an internal sigh of relief when he backed off.
He smiled shakily at David's words, replying just loud enough to be heard for fear of his voice cracking.
"I'm Jet, its nice to meet you."

“Aw, don’t be shy. It’s just family here.” Then Daniel winked. “You’ll soon be a part as well. Hehe.”
“Don’t scare the boy off, dear,” Slaider said, walking in the room. He took his mate by the hand and sat down in the loveseat across from his son.
“But I was teasing him,” Daniel said, cuddling up into his mate’s side. They may have been together for over 20 years, but he could never get enough of his Slaid.
Slaider just rubbed his mate’s shoulder and replied, “I’m sure you were, honey, but you don’t seem to understand that he’s nervous enough as it is.” He looked over as Jet, and could see the fear in those green eyes. “Please ignore my eccentric mate. He always gets excited when Kaelin comes over.”
“That’s because Kaelin hardly comes over anymore, do you Kae?” Daniel stated, a slight pout on his face.
“…” Kaelin’s gaze shifted from his mother to his father, then to Jet and then back to his mother.
“Yes, I know that we all have busy schedules and that you have just met your mate, but that does not mean that you can’t just stop by every once in a while,” Daniel replied, chewing on a cookie.
Kaelin nodded, and grabbed Jet’s hand. He squeezed it in his own as he grabbed for a cookie of his own. “Would you like one? Ma makes the best cookies in the galaxy,” Kaelin whispered to Jet.
Slaider notices the interaction and smiled. ‘For a son that hardly talks, he can sure communicate with his mate. Speaking of mates…’ he thought and cleared his throat, achieving all eyes on him. “It seems that we have forgotten the reason that our little Kae has stopped by,” he said. “So, you are mates. That was a quick find, if I say so myself. Not many find their mate so early. Where did you meet?”
Kaelin blushed and he looked at Jet, wondering if he remembered their first meeting.

Jet's cheeks tinged pink when he realised just where he had seen Kaelin before, and he silently cursed himself for not working it out earlier.
He grinned shyly, looking briefly at Kaelin before returning his gaze to Slaider nervously.
"I managed to..uh...lose myself in the forest off the edge of town before getting terrified by Kaelin in his other form. Fortunately, he wasn't as interested in slaughtering me as I first thought."
He laughed quietly at the memory, and squeezed Kaelin's hand gently with a small smile. He had almost completely forgotten the memory after being caught in all this intrigue and surprise.
He was sort of unnerved by Slaider, because he was so hard to read, and Jet wasn't exactly the most presentable of people, but he hoped he didn't leave to bad an impression, for Kaelin's sake. Daniel was easy-going enough that Jet could almost relate to him, although he was still ridiculously concerned with accidentally disappointing either.

“I see,” Slaider exclaimed, looking at Kaelin. When Kaelin only looked right back at him, he assumed that this happened a while ago. “So, how old are you, son? What do you do for a living?”
Daniel hit Slaider lightly on the shoulder. “Stop it, Slaid honey. You’re scaring him with the third degree.” Daniel had also noticed the looks that Kaelin was throwing at his father.
“Is that not what they came here for?” Slaid said, but finally noticed the look that Kaelin was giving him. It clearly said, ‘We came here only so you could meet him. I don’t care what you think about him.’
Kaelin then turned to Jet and said, “If you have any questions, you can ask. Ma and dad know more about our race than I do.” He ran his fingers through Jet’s hair, hoping that the gentle touch would calm him down and make him feel more at home.

Jet stifled a wince at Slaider's bluntness, but waved off the defensive nature of the other two. If telling them about himself would make things easier, then he was all for it, although he suspected his family background should definitely remain unmentioned for now.
"Its okay, I'm nineteen and a personal assistant at an art studio, I teach the students when the professor is away..."
He leant into Kaelin's touch slightly, eyes closing for a moment before realising that the others were probably waiting for a reply. His cheeks tinged pink and he chewed on his lip nervously for a moment, before speaking up.
"Right, uh.. What can you tell me about the pregnancy thing? And anything else you can tell me or think I need to know would be fantastic..."

Slaider shifted, his multicolored hair falling across his shoulder. “How much have you explained, Kae?”
“…” Kaelin just stared back at his father.
Daniel laughed. “Just an overview, huh? Okay. We will explain.”
Slaider began. “I believe that you have already been told about our race and how we shift into animals. It is the animal instinct in us that draws us to seek out our one mate in the world.
The Zercan race is slowly shrinking, and that is because a Zercan can only produce offspring with its mate. It is for this reason that mates are held in very high regard.”
Daniel squeezed Slaider’s hand. “That’s right. And offspring are almost more important. But let’s get back to the pregnancy topic. Depending on the species of the two mates, the probability of pregnancy differs. For example, between two Zercans pregnancy always happens at the time of the claiming. Likewise, between a Zercan bearer and a life-giver of another race, pregnancy occurs during mating.
In your case, the case of a Zercan life-giver and a bearer of another race, the chance of pregnancy is that of a human female’s. That being said, the mating ritual is known to be one of endless passion, and more often then not the bearer gets pregnant.”
Kaelin stayed silent through the speech, monitoring the look on Jet’s face. He lightly squeezed his hand again, so that he knew that he wasn’t alone.

Jet nodded slowly, biting his lip and used the hand not tangled in Kaelin's to pull gently on his ear as he looked down at his shoes.
"So...I'd be carrying a...life, inside me?"
This terrified Jet, he had been told practically everyday that he was unfit to look after even his baby sister, because of previous circumstances. He had to tell Kaelin. There was no other way around this situation, because Kaelin had to know how despicable Jet was, so he could decide whether or not Jet should really have his...child?
As he sat there, clutching desperately at Kaelin's comforting hand, another awful and dreadful thought hit him. What if this was all a joke? What if Kaelin had just picked up some random by chance, and this was all a terrible practical joke? And this entire time he had practically thrown himself at the older man, and even tried to make an impression on his parents...The more he thought about it, the more reasonable it seemed. Surely the leopard thing could be explained? There had to be a logical explaination...maybe he'd even been drugged?
By this stage, his breath was quietly ragged, and he mustered a polite smile to flash at the two adults across from him.
"I hope you don't mind, this gives me a lot to think about... If I may be excused? It really was a pleasure meeting both of you...Perhaps I'll see you again soon?"
He didn't wait for a reply, instead he walked calmly from the room, before breaking into a sprint to the front door, desperately wrenching it open and swearing quietly under his breath when he remembered they had taken Kaelin's car, leaving him to his mercy.
He leant against the car for support, running a shaking hand through his hair and biting down so hard that his lip started to bleed.
