Skirting the Issue (open thread)

[Nero Initium]

Nero hugged him back,
“Don’t think that, no parent in their right mind would want to give you up. I mean you must have been very cute as a kid, right.”
Nero blushed as he said that, hoping Nei wouldn’t think he was impling something else.
A breeze blew, making flowers fall around the pair and they were still hugging.

[Neimo]

Nei smiled softly. "I dunno. I don't think I was, or am, anything special. You're pretty cute though," he admitted with a blush, "I bet you have people falling all over themselves to be with hm?"

[Nero Initium]

Nero blushed at what Nei said,
“But you are special, why do you think Sarah decided to be your foster mum?”
Nero looked at Nei’s eyes,
“Wow, his eyes are so captivating, and he’s like so cute and… ," Nero thought, "GAH what am I thinking. Well you gotta admit he is kinda cute.”
Then without thinking, Nero pulled Nei towards the water.

[Neimo]

Nei smiled slightly, shrugging at the Nero's question as the boy pulled him towards the water. "I don't know if she had a choice... she looked surprised to see me...," he mumbled.

“Good, “ Nero thought, “he doesn’t know what I’m gonna do,”
“Trust, me,” he said to Nei, “she had a choice
Then he pushed Nei into the water, but at the last moment tripped at the edge of the lake and fell into the water with Nei.

[Neimo]

Neimo shrieked as he went flying towards the water. When he resurfaced above the water, he looked up to find Nero, only to see the boy in the water beside him. "What'd you do that for?" he whined. "Now my clothes are all wet!"

Nero’s hair splayed out all over his face, he brushed it away and smiled,
“Its called having fun, and you were all like moody,” he pouted and put his head on his shoulder, “so well, you kinda needed it, you gotta admit.”
Water dripped down his face, he used raised his hand to his face, and brushed a strand of hair behind his ear.

[Neimo]

Nei stuck his tongue out playfully. "I can be fun, but we were being serious before!" he argued, "Why would I be playful if we were being serious?" He glanced at Nero as the boy placed his head on his shoulder and grinned down at him. "But, I guess since we're having fun, I can do this, right?" he asked, splashing Nero's face with water.

Nero shrieked as water splashed all over him, not that he wasn’t wet.
“Why you little, I’ll get you back,”
Nero dived underwater, down, down, until he was sure that Nei couldn’t see him.

[Neimo]

Nei laughed as Nero dove underwater... until he didn't come back up. Nei watched the water nervously for a moment. "Uhm.... N-nero?... Are you alright...?" he asked softly. , searching around for the boy.

[Nero Initium]

Suddenly Nero burst from the surface, and splashed with a torrent of water,
“Oh, I got you good,” Nero laughed.

[Neimo]

Nei squealed as he was splashed with water. "Hey! That's not fair!" he whined, pouting, "You scared me!"

[Nero Initium]

“Nei, Nero, where are you? It’s time for supper. Come on in.” Sarah shouted.
Nero swam to the edge of the lake and got out, he was dripping wet.
“Nei, come on.”

[Neimo]

Nei nodded and sighed, climbing out of the lake. He wrung out his hair, trying to get as much water off of him as possible. "Alright, alright! I'm coming!" He followed after Nero towards the house and shivered. "I'm cold!... and wet!" he whined.

“Sarah is so gonna kill us,” Nero laughed, as he lead Nei back to the house.
“My God, “ Sarah gasped, “where did you too go,” she had been waiting for the pair at the doors.
