Pheonix was nervous beyond reason. He'd wanted the days to go fast, but now that they had, he was scared. The page shook in his hand as he turned it. Cleon had been a fun person to be around all those days on the ship. He was a bright boy who always managed to bring a smile to Pheonix's face and was a warmth to cuddle with at night.
He looked up from his book and shook his head. "I'm...i'm not hungry...too nervous," he explained, licking his lips. "But you can get something if you want. Don't let me stop you," he smiled softly and tried to go back to reading.

Cleon nodded. "You do not have to be nervous, Sweetie. I am sure my family is going to love you," he said softly. He closed his book and placed it next to him. Well, he could understand why Pheonix was nervous. He was meeting his mate's parents, plus he was going on a completely different planet that he only just figured out existed.
Leaning over, Cleon gave Pheonix a soft kiss. "I am going to go get some crackers, okay? I will be right back," he said softly, smiling at his mate as he left. A few minutes later he came back with a plate full of cheesey crackers. "Are you sure you are not hungry?" he asked teasingly and held the plate under his mate's nose.

Pheonix pouted and looked at the crackers longingly, the scent of the cheese calling to him. "No fair," he whined and swiped a few, biting into one without a qualm. "Thank you," he blushed and chewed, swallowing the snack. What a thoughtful mate he had. The boy knew just what he couldn't resist.

Cleon smiled successfully. "No problem," he said softly. He popped a cracker into his mouth. "You know what is a funny word?" he questioned, suddenly in joking mood. "'Cracker'," he said after a second.

He giggled and put another in his mouth, chewing thoughtfully. "You're quite right...cracker is a silly word....who came up with crackerr anyways?" His golden eyes danced and for the moment, his mind was taken off of being nervous.

The Dragonis' hummed thoughtfully. After finishing off another cracker, he started talking again. "A silly person," he said, grinning. He popped another of the cheesey goodnesses into his mouth, then held the plate up to Pheonix again.

"I suspect that was who it was," he snatched another and set to licking at the cheese. It came off and made his tongue orange until he sucked it off. "And cheese.....that's a funny word too," he grinned.
((Sorry! I had to run after the brats. They're spitting on eachother XD))

Cleon watched as his mate licked at off the cheese. "Cheese," he giggled, surprising himself. "And why are we supposed to say 'cheese' when we take pictures?" he asked. "...Do you say that on Earth?" he asked, tilting his head.

Pheonix licked more cheese off. "As a matter of fact, we do," he grinned. "I wonder why we have to say it too.....Maybe just because it's a funny word and makes you laugh?" He shrugged, popping the bare cracker in his mouth and reaching for yet another.

He nodded enthusiastically. Changing his position, Pheonix sat on his knees, humming as he finished the cracker off. It seemed he was more hungry than he had thought before. His stomach had ceased its quiet growling and the cheese made his mouth water. He took another cracker, blushing. "Sorry...i'm eating alot of them..."

Cleon shrugged, smiling at Pheonix. "It is fine, I knew once you started eating you would realize how hungry you are," he said, winking. "Do you want some juice or milk or something?" he asked.

"Milk please!" He chirped and downed his cracker. He waited until Cleon was out of the room to snatch one more. Just one more, seriously. He was going to end up getting fat. Cleon was always feeding him somethign good. And he couldn't help eating....

Cleon came back with two glasses of milk, and the box of crackers under his arm. "Here you go, Love," he said softly as he handed him the glass. He dropped the box between them and started drinking his own milk. "Crackers are as good as their name is funny," he said as he started dumping more crackers on the plate.

Pheonix took the glass and drank thirstily, smiling at Cleon when he stopped. He self conciously wiped away the milk mustache and took a plain cracker. "They are....This si a pretty good snack..thank you Cleon." Pheonix crawled over and settled down by his mate, laying his head in the other boys lap. He nibbled on a cracker, sighing in content.
