Step and Slide

[Amoris]

Amoris stood back from the table to look at what he had done. Well, it looked decent enough, though he was sure he messed up on some of the utencils and the side the cup was supposed to go n. He never was any good at th-

*Thud!*

The brunette whirled around and clutched at his heart in suprise. Where in Jeskara had that noise come from?! Deciding to investigate and hoping no one was hurt, he wiped his hand on his pants to rid them of dust.

Then, he quickly jogged over to the doorway around the corner before coming to a quick halt. His mate...laying on the floor in a faint?! He started to move forward, confused beyond all reason. His heart was telling him that Akia was fine, but the scene...

Amoris looked over to the side and was again suprised. His little mate was fine and standing against the wall, but if so...Then who was...?

"...Is that...your lifegiver then?" he asked, breking the small silence that had descended over everyone in their shock. "Well, we better...help him up..."

Palidan was the first to snap out of his state of shock. He nodded toward Amoris' reply as he kneeled down and gently lifted the fallen Wizard into his arms. A part of him was so estatic, and his eyes were nearly in tears. He thought he never be able to hold his love like this. It had been far too long! However, another part of him was scared out his mind when he saw Hoshi faint, and with all his heart prayed for his safe awakening.

Suddenly, little sparks of red light flitted just behind Amoris ear. "Don't worry everyone, just stay calm!" A small squeaky voice shouted, and in a poof Raphael appeared seemingly out of breath a little, but he still put on a reassuring smile.

"Don't worry you guys, Hoshi's going to be fine. Palidan you remember that Hoshi once told you that his powers are based upon his emotions. If a situation becomes too much for him, his emotions reach a critical point, and explode out all at once, kind of like a super nova, and trust me you do not want to be on the receiving end. I think you all should count yourself lucky, Hoshi was able to keep control long enough to reflect his unstable power back at himself. That I guess would be the reason he fainted. Palidan you can put Hoshi in the guest room, opposite mine. And don't worry again, He's fine, this has happened a lot in the past twenty years. In fact the first time Hoshi became so unstable was that day when..."

Raphael paused taking a nervous glance toward Akia, "...when his son was exiled Hoshi was so upset, I thought would never recover, which I don't believe he fully has."

Akia's head shot up at that point, as he watched Raphael and Palidan disappear with Hoshi- no his father, unconscious. The boy slumped back the wall, his body was shaking and his legs felt weak, but he dared not let them collapse, out of fear that Amoris would see him as weak, and unworthy. Bowing his head, white hair fell infront of closed blue eyes, tears of joy and fear mixed, streaming down his cheeks.

Akia was so happy at seeing the face of the person who gave birth to him. He wanted to embrace the older man in order to make up for the times he wished he could've had someone to hold. But, would they have been happy together? Would they get along even now? Akia thought about what Raphael said, "...maybe... if I hadn't been born, Hoshi and Palidan wouldn't have had to suffer as much as they have..." Akia whimpered softly as he raised his hand to his face, wanting to brush away the oncoming tears.

Unknowingly, what Akia said was also heard by the other in the room...

((Sorry, my posts have been so long, I just have four characters to keep track of. But at least I'm having fun right?)))

[Amoris]

Amoris was instantly by his mate’s side, pulling him close. “That’s not true,” he said in a harsher voice then he meant to. Then his voice took on a softer tone as he continued, “Of course it wouldn’t have been better if you hadn’t have been born. You’re their son, and I’m sure that they love you. Why else would you end up on several planets so far from the one you grew up on?”

He buried his face into Akia’s hair and breathed deeply, enjoying the scent of his love. “Besides, Hoshi began having problems because you left; not because of you. It was those other Wizards faults, really. And now…You can try to help him become stable, by being there.”

The brunette pulled away and looked into Akia’s eyes, staring at the watery-blue orbs. “…And…Well…You have me,” he finally whispered. “If you hadn’t have been born, I wouldn’t have met the other half of my soul…I would have had to wait another lifetime to meet you again.” He coughed sheepishly and ducked his head.

“It sounds a bit selfish after I say it though…,” he said, biting his lip. “Sorry.”

Akia looked gazed up at his mate through blurred glassy blue eyes, and a small choked back laugh broke through his tears. The boy raised a pale hand, for a feathery touch of fingers to caress Amoris' cheeks.

"Amoris, God knows you're not selfish, nor are you ever wrong. You know exactly what to say. You are perfect. I don't know what I would do if you weren't by my side." As Akia ended, his voice was cracking as more tears began to trickle down his cheeks. Tentatively, Akia reached up his head to place small chaste ghosting brush across his mate's lips. Then pulled back reluctantly and lowered his white haired head, burying it against his love's strong chest. Softly he murmured, "I'm so weak."

[Amoris]

Amoris vigorously shook his head in a negative and pulled Akia even closer. “That’s not true,” he said. “You lived fine without me for quite a while. Right now, this is a lot for you to have to accept. Of course you’re going to have a few problems!”

He kissed the top of his mate’s head and sighed. “But…You are right about one thing – I will be here to help you, always if I can be.” He gently wiped the few tears sparkling on the other’s face before chuckling. “So shall we go see how your family is doing now?” he asked.

((Sorry about the wait! I’ve been working a lot all month and am gone from seven ‘til nine, and by then I’m ready to hit the bed. @_@))

Akia pulled away from Amoris and looked up to get lost once again in the loving violet gaze. He smiled and nodded at Amoris' statement. Reaching down, Akia grasped onto his mate's hand, tightly, never wanted to let go out of fear he would lose this wonderful man. The youth turned and followed the others path to the closed room. Upon reaching it, Akia stopped his hand, his whole body was trembling as he reached to grasp the handle.

Meanwhile...

Hoshi Akaru strained to open his ruby eyes, the bright light was blinding after being inside the medi-box for several hours. The young wizard tried to sit up, upon feeling like a giant weight had just been lifted from his body, but he collapsed back against the pillows of his bed. He was so tired! Ruby eyes soon found a red tinted skinned young Fae, coming toward him, a small white bundle latched in his arms.

Hoshi's eyes brightened, he knew in his heart what was there underneath the cloth. Raphael was smiling as he placed the small bundle in Hoshi's arms and pulled back the cloth, while whispering an excited congratulations. There sleeping peacefully was a baby boy, pale white skin matching a thin crown of white hair topping his head. The infant opened his eyes, and Hoshi just about burst into tears, they were so much like his mates eyes. Suddenly the terrible realization came to him at last. He looked up at Raphael urgently. "Raphael, you know we must keep this a secret from the council. Gods know what they would do to him if they found who the father is." Hoshi cried, hugging his son protectively close to his chest. "Don't worry," Raphael gave a reassuring smile, "no one knows about him except for me, you and Palidan, and I promise as soon as I can I will help you find a way to see each other again."

However, not but three days later, Hoshi stood in front of the council of the highest Wizards in all of Parinenai.

"Master Hoshi Akaru. You are being charged with conspiring with a Jeskarian, and producing a child of Jeskarian blood."

Hoshi just looked straight with a serious tone in his eyes and voice. "I do not deny such, but this only proves that we have nothing to fear of the Jeskarians. They mean us no harm. Secondly, it was the council that had sent me to that planet to expand trade between Jeskara and Parinenai. I most certainly didn't expect to find my mate there of all places."

"We understand all that Hoshi, but fact of the matter did find a Jeskarian mate and produced a half-breed child, a being tainted with this dark-"

"Stop it, Palidan is not cruel, and I couldn't help but give in to him. I fell in love! You can not punish for a feeling something that is inevitable to fall under the spell of!"

"Silence!" The highest Wizard roared aloud, raising his hand and the huge heavy doors behind Hoshi slammed open. "We will take your matter to heart Master Akaru, nevertheless, we will not have a half-breed tainted Jeskarian child running around the court. And so, until further notice you will be temporarily suspended from using you power..."

Hoshi nodded in affirmation, smiling he was as long as he could keep Palidan's child safe. "Bring in the child!" the High Council Wizard proclaimed. In stepped through the doors two white-robed apprentice Wizards, and Hoshi gasped aloud for in their arms was a small white bundle of cloth. Just behind them, small red sparks flitted frantically back and forth trying to break through with no avail.

"Stop this, he is only a helpless child, who knows nothing of what is going on!" Hoshi cried out pleading frantically with the council. The high Wizard only bowed their heads. "We are quite aware of that, and since he does possess Wizarding blood, we will not kill our own race. However, he is a unpure halfbreed and Jeskarian worse yet, and so we sentence the child to be exiled!"

NO!

Hoshi bolted upright in bed from the horrible nightmare he had recently experience, what's worse is that it was real. Tears pour from ruby eyes. Just then a warm comforting hand came down around his slender shoulders, and whispered soothing words calmed his mind. He looked up only to be faced with the dark haired, deep blue-eyed face of Palidan his mate. More tears came as Hoshi threw his arms around the other's neck, never wanting to let go.

Palidan smiled and returned the hug embracing his mate's waist tightly. It felt good to have his little mate back in his arms, it had just been far too long since they had a moment like this. Palidan was so worried while Hoshi was asleep, moaning and crying and muttering broken phrases like he was scared out his mind, and Palidan was helpless to do anything.

The two would have stayed like that if wasn't for Raphael light tap on shoulder making the Wizard look up. The Fae pointed toward the door, and whispered, "Sorry to interrupt but you do have some visitors." Hoshi looked to the doorway as it opened and there standing on trembling legs was the youth whom he had seen earlier. Hoshi released fresh tears, the boy looked so much like himself, except for Palidan's eyes. He knew without a single doubt now this was his son.

Akia faced the older Wizard. He was trying so hard not to cry, at seeing his near perfect reflection in front of him, but couldn't help it. Taking a few steps toward the bed, his hand slipped from Amoris' hold as Akia fell to his knees. Hands clutching at the Wizard's white robes, the youth did want he had always wanted to do all his existence. Akia hugged his father, crying into his robes.

Hoshi still recovering from his shock, reaching a trembling hand to rest upon snow white locks which matched his own in every way except length. He knew this was his son that had been taken from him and instinctually threw his arms around the boy, a smile appeared on his face, one that had remained hidden ever since the day his son was taken away.

Still holding his son in his arms, ruby eyes looked up feeling another strange yet familiar presence. Hoshi smiled the younger Jshiko standing in the doorway and stretched out his pale slender hand beckoning the young man forward.

((One, I'm sorry this is so long, I had this one small idea floating around in my head all week, and it seemed to have escalated, and two I'm very sorry I'm late with my post, I would had it up sooner if wasn't for the homework piles I had this week.))) [Amoris]

Amoris followed Akia into the room, holding his hand until they got into the door. He watched with cautious eyes as his mate's hand then fell away from his and as the boy stumbled towards the wizard on the bed.

The Jshiko just watched alertedly, not wanting to take away from the moment between the two. He could feel the emotions whelling up inside his mate and had to use a bit of will to stop Akia's eyes from flowing from his own eyes. He had never really had a special time with either of his parents, so didn't really understand the feelings caused by the meeting but let the other youth have his time.

Parents made Amoris feel..awkward though. He couldn't really see why such a person as a parent could cause such emotions. When he was younger, he had been treated more as a possession to be shown off rather then a child. If anything, his parents and him were close to being mere acquaitances. Their rejection hurt, but any rejection did.

The brunette shrugged to himself, only to realize that he was being called forth by the man who looked so much like his mate. He stepped forward and glanced down at his kneeling mate and the man sitting on the bed. "Yes?" he asked before shaking his head slightly.

"I appologize. I meant to say; hello. My name is Amoris Chilton. It's nice to meet you," he said quietly, so as not to disturb the calm that had settled over the room.

Raphael choked back a sob at the touching reunion of a father and son, at the same time, Palidan slide closer to Hoshi's side, lacing one arm around his mate's petite waist threading his fingers through silver locks, while the other hand came down to rest protectively on the head of his grown son.

Hoshi smiled kindly at the young Jshiko, as he still held protectively onto his son, one slender arm draped around the boy's back. His other hand reached out to take hold of Amoris' and with that instant touch, Hoshi's mind caught flashes of Amoris' past and his life with his family, before he ever met Akia. The older Wizard released the young man's hand and made his way to gently cup his cheek.

"Dear Amoris, there's so no need to be so formal. You are family to us now."

All the while, Hoshi's other hand which had been holding Akia moved to grasp Akia's hand and touched his skin, thus he was able to relay bits and pieces of Amoris' thoughts to the his son's. Hoshi believed a mate had a right to know what went on in his mate's past, did not reveal everything knowing that it was Amoris' choice what and when he should tell his mate of his past. Akia felt the sensation of Amoris' thoughts flowing through his mind and body and just relaxed into it, feeling the warmth of the other's soul consume his own, making the two become one. Akia truly did love Amoris, and he knew right then this was the man he was going to spend the rest of his life with.

"I love you, Amoris..." Akia murmured, turning his head to the side as it still rested upon Hoshi's robes. Cerulean blue eyes stared straight up at his mate, glowing as a bright genuine smile appeared on his face. "...I'm so happy that we found one another." the boy whispered as he was reaching, as a child would reach for a favorite toy, out his arm toward Amoris, as if silently begging him to take him that very moment.

Amoris blushed at Hoshi's hand against his cheek and bit his lip. It still felt a little awkward being around Akia's parents, but with each passing moment, he relaxed a little bit more. It felt like tension was flowing out of him...

And then Akia turned towards him and said, "I love you, Amoris." That pretty much made the brunette melt and a small smile crept over his face. He scooted closer to the other and put his arms around him, head resting on top of his mate's.

"I love you too," he whispered quietly as he kissed the smaller youth's silver hair. A little bit louder, he said, "...Thank you. For inviting me to be a part of your family, Hoshi."

Hoshi smiled silently in response as he leaned back and into his own mate's embrace, one that they both had been longing to be in for so long. They kissed passionately, melting together into their embrace. Raphael smiled as a light blush crept across his cheeks meanwhile and he silently flitted out of the room, leaving the two pairs of mates to their own discretions.

Upon hearing Amoris' voice, he pulled away from his father threw himself against the other's chest. Hands clutched onto Amoris' shoulder, his nails dug into the skin. He never wanted to be separated from Amoris. Never. He had lived his whole life on different planet not knowing of his own heritage and just then he realized he had lived with only half a heart. It was Amoris who possessed the other half. As he felt Amoris hold him now, he felt completely in body, mind, and in his heart.

"I never want to be separated from you ever again. I don't think I could live alone like that again."

[Amoris]

Amoris nodded slightly and petted his mate's silky hair with a small smile. "Of course you won't have to be seperated from me," he mumbled. "Before...Before I didn't know about you and you didn't even have the slightest clue about me or, well, any of this."

He pressed his lips to the top of Akia's head before stopping short and blushing slightly. It felt awkward to kiss his mate is the presence of the men who were now his in-laws. Not to mention that they already made him feel awkward, but to be kissing their son in front of them...

He lowered his lips next to Akia's ear for more privacy and spoke as softly as he could. "But now, do you think that I would let you part from me so easily? I think not...Besides, after tonight..." he trailed of suggestively and loosely hugged his love before straightening.

A tinge of pink covered Akia's cheeks as he felt Amoris' warm breath tickle his neck and ear. He smiled at how respectful and courteous the other could be. Akia glanced behind him as he saw that his two fathers were currently too much engrossed in each other's embrace, memerizing the other's touch, and they had a lot they needed and wanted to catch up on. They smiled against the other's kisses on their lips as they trailed even more kisses all over their bodies. Slowly, Hoshi had fallen back onto the bed with Palidan on top of him as the older Jshiko, slowly stripped the Wizard's robes.

Akia lowered his head, his white hair fell in front of his face to hide his blush, but with Amoris' suggestion in his ear, Akia ran his hands down trailing along the Jshiko's arms until he reached his hands and gripped them tightly. Akia slowly stood up and pulled Amoris to his feet with him. The white haired youth quietly guided the other out the room and to a spare room that connected to the one they were in. It was a little smaller, but still quaint and peacefully quiet. "I...I just thought we should give them a little alone time together." Akia whispered, as he still held onto Amoris' warm grasp. At the same time he kept his head bowed as he flushed deeply.

[Amoris]

Amoris nodded slowly. He then wrapped his one free arm around Akia again and smiled slightly. "Understandable," he whispered back. It was like they were wrapped up in some sort of dreaming and speaking too loud would break that perfection. "It has been a while since they have been together. And while I'm sure you love'd the reunion with your parents...I don't believe you would wish to be present for their own...get together."

He cleared his throat slightly, but still kept his tones low before drawing Akia even closer to him still. "Now then...," the brunette said, giving a devilish smile. "What about us and our alone time?" he asked. "While we have had some time together...We really haven't had that much. Too little in fact for newly found mates..."

Akia smiled as he looked up to Amoris and saw his own reflection staring back him within dark amethyst pools. "I agree...but uhh.." Akia blushed deeply, and buried his face in Amoris' clothed chest, all the while wrapping his arms securely around the brunette's neck. "I'm not sure what I should do..."

Amoris gave a small smiled and cradled his mate in his arms before pressing a kiss on the top of his head...his forehead...his cheek...his lips. Pulling back, he looked at the other youth with the same smile from before, only twice as filled with love. "Good," he said softly. "Because neither do I...We'll learn together."

With that, he drew Akia over to the bed in the middle of the guest room and moved until they fell back on it. "I love you, Akia," he told the other solemnly as he stared at the other's beautiful blushing face...
