Step and Slide

Akia let out a muffled laugh into Amoris' shoulder.

"You're right Amoris, and the same goes for me."

At his mate's words and soothing touch, it made Akia's embrace on Amoris tighten. True he wasn't worried about losing Amoris, but still the spark of the fact of being apart from the handsome brunette scared the boy. "I love you." he whispered in Amoris' ear, not only telling his mate but assuring himself.

[Amoris]

Amoris smiled. "Good, 'cause I love you to," he said, placing a kiss on Akia's head before standing up. He looked around the room to see some spare bags placed in a corner, so he moved towards them.

"Now that we have that settled," he said, bending to pick up the bags. "I came in here to tell you the your father says we should be leaving soon. Within the next couple hours that is." He paused to look down at the luggage. "Do we have everything packed?" he asked curiously as he moved to pick up the others on the bed.

Akia smiled and gazed around the room with a pondering look on his face and his eyes, fingers pressed against his chin.

"No...I think that's every thing."

Then blue eyes widened slightly as the youth turned his head with a questioning gaze.

"Ah! Unless you have things you want or need to take. Just tell me and I can get them for you!"

[Amoris]

Amoris laughed and shook his head"No...It's fine. I was just wondering. I mean, I can't think of anything we left, but I'm not the one keen on remembering things...so I asked you. No big deal," he said as he shifted one bag from one arm to another.

"Anyways, I think I'll take this out to the ship before I lose complete circulation in my arms. You wanna come with?" he asked, glancing over his shoulder since he was already moving toawrds the door. "I'll have to come back for a second trip to get the rest, so you on't have to..."

Akia stood quickly as he watched Amoris begin to leave the room. He stumbled but a moment, only because he stood to fast and the blood wasn't fast enough in rushing to his back head.

Recovering, he gathered up the last pieces of luggage still in the room and rushed out the door, following Amoris' trail through the hallway.

Meanwhile, Palidan stepped from his sleek silver cruiser. Well the ship was all ready to go. He still couldn't believe after 20 years he was going to see his beloved again, and reunite him with their son. The another surprise was that their son has found his mate, and he, Palidan, couldn't be more proud.

"Speaking of those two lovebirds," At seeing the two boys stepping from the temple, "Nice to see you two finally. It's almost time to leave. Put your things in the cargo hold and we'll go."

[Amoris]

Amoris laughed slightly and nodded. "Go...These things are heavy," he remarked as he carried the luggage into the cruiser. He set them down inside the cargo hold and stepped outside after Akia had dumped the other bags off as well.

Master Shubitya looked at his student with a raised eyebrow as he saw the brunette trying to work out the kinks in his sore arm. "Amoris...," he slowly said. "If there were so many bags and they were that heavy, why didn't you just change into something that could hold onto everything easier?"

The Jshiko stared at his teacher for a second before he began shrugged sheepishly. "...Um, I was training my body for strength...?" The older man raised his other eyebrow to meet the first and Amoris sighed. "I forgot, okay? Oops?" His words were only met with laughter.

Akia turned around, after securing the rest of the luggage, and saw Amoris getting talked to by Master Shubitya.

Covering his mouth with his pale hand, was the only thing Akia could do to hold in a light laughter that was trying to escape.

The white haired youth thought that it was just so cute to see Amoris, whether he was being reminded of something he forgot or when he was just being his usual scatter-brained self. It just proved that no one was perfect, however to Akia, he would love Amoris no matter what kind of person his wonderful mate was.

After calming down a little, but still with a loving smile, Akia took pity on Amoris. Strolling up behind the man as quiet as he could, Akia gently touched his hands to Amoris' tense shoulders massaging them till they were tender. He leaned forward, with a wide smile, to whisper something in Amoris.

"I still love you...my big strong mate."

Amoris smiled at the other two men before turning in his mate's arms. He winked before threading a hand through silver hair. "At least someone loves me, right?" he said jokingly before his face turned serious.

He put his arms around Akia's waist and pulled the youth closer to him to kiss his head. "I love you too, beautiful...You're such a wonderful mate...," he whispered.

Akia smiled a little wider at Amoris' words, and leaned in to press his mouth to Amoris' in a deep kiss. Akia enjoyed life more than he ever did before, whenever he was Amoris' arms. It felt like a dream come true.

However, the dream state was broken by the loud broken cough.

"Alright you two lovebirds." Sighed a secretly smiling Shubitya, "Amoris I don't think the boy wants to be pregnant before he is reunited with his family. Besides, his father is going to be with you two."

Palidan laughed, "It's understandable though. I know I couldn't keep Hoshi off me when we first met."

[Amoris]

Amoris pulled away from Akia to stare at the too. His eyes widened and a slight blush covered his cheeks. "I didn't...We....I mean...What???"

The black haired master laughed and shook his head. "It's fine, Amoris. Go on...Get on the ship," he said, motioning towards the craft. He watched as his student went inside and was soon followed by his mate.

That done, Shubitya looked over at Palidan with a smile. "And be sure to take care of my student. He may be a little out there, but many of us here do care about him," he said.

He reached into his robe and pulled out some cash. "This should be enough to cover anything he may want to buy...Could you possibly keep it for him? e'd lose it otherwise..."

Palidan pocketed the cash as he thanked and bowed politely to his old friend. "I'll notify you once we arrive."

(skip forward)

It had been precisely three days since the ship had left Jeskara’s atmosphere with its three passengers aboard. Palidan sat in the pilot’s seat and carefully monitoring the controls, in the odd chance that something went wrong and the ship became a sitting duck.

Meanwhile in the back, Akia was as anxious as little boy on Christmas morning. He just could sit or stand still for more than a moment. To keep himself busy, he had offered to make Amoris a sandwich. As he sat back down next to the brunette (handing over the sandwich as well), Akia noticed something sticking out of Amoris’ bag. Getting up, the white haired youth picked it up to examine it. It looked to be a musical instrument. Cerulean eyes slowly turned back to Amoris, and he asked, “Amoris, uh, do you play?” and then in a softer voice, “Could I hear a little?”

Amoris took a bite of his sandwich before glancing over at his mate to see him holding his lute. Looking around for a place to put his food, he finally settled on putting it on the small table next to the bed. He turned back to Akia and picked it up in his hands. "Yeah...I play," he said before grinning slightly. "I'll play if you'll sing," he offered.

Akia blushed deep red in his cheeks. He had never sung in front of anyone before; at least not solo only in chorus. However, as the boy looked up into dark violet eyes, he knew that he couldn’t refuse Amoris of anything. Akia smiled as he pulled Amoris’ arm back to their previous spot to sit down.

The hours went by and as Amoris played, Akia sat close by at first started to hum along with the song, but then once he got used to it Akia then matched each note that was played with absolutely perfect pitch.

After a while of this, Akia began to drift off at the sweet melody of Amoris’ playing. To get comfortable, he slid closer to Amoris’ side. Soon, his white-haired head slumped down and finally rested against the brunette’s upper chest. The singing eventually slowed to a hum again, and with a final low hum, Akia fell asleep with a light smile on his face; only one phrase past from his lips. “I love you Amoris.”

Amoris played softly for several more minutes, letting the music wash over them both before winding down the tune. He genty set his lute down and turned to Akia slowly with a smile. He didn't want to disturb the other young man, but knew he'd feel pretty sore in the moment if he didn't.

Carefully, he wrapped his arms around his mate and picked him up. Luckily, the Wizard-Jshiko didn't wake asthe brunette laid him flat on the bed. "I love you too," he whispered, kissing his mate on the head before standing straight again.

He took off his shirt and started getting ready for bed. He wa soon going to join Akia, but first...First he wanted to finish the sandwich the other had made him. It was just a matter if he could remember where he had sat it...

Even though he knew he had to be dreaming, Akia could feel as if his whole body was floating high in the clouds. However, the clouds were warm as they embraced his whole being. It felt so good he never wanted to wake up ever again. The only thing that would make this dream even more perfect was if Amoris was beside him.

((Fast Forward))

It had been a week since the three had left Jeskara and finally they were staring at the awesome sight of Pareneni. Akia felt like crying. This was the actual place he was born; a place in which he had only dreamed about seeing. Now he couldn’t believe it was really here in front of him.

As he watched the scene outside, Akia couldn't help but throw his arms around the closet thing near to him. Amoris.

"I'm finally home" he whispered joyfully
