"......th...thank you..." he mumbled, reaching down and picking up the bowl of soup. He blew across the top of it for a second, before deciding he actually liked the steam rising off of it, and simply sat there with it in his hands, under his face.

Xemas followed Ssitris' example and merely enjoyed the feel of the warm steam before he picked up toast. He dipped it in the soup and happily ate. He hadn't gotten anything when he and Celrie were out and soda at the apartment was not food.
"So...Cel, who's that hot vampire I saw earlier?" He turned inquiring blue eyes on the life-bearer, brow raised. Celrie just about dropped the blanket he'd been folding.
"Um...w...well, his name's Eravan....he works for a local business around here. We um...we met....Xemas, do I have to talk about this? I told him about you, can't you just drop it?" The incubus smirked.
"Nope. You owe me...."

He set his soup down. "Um...this...sounds private...I'll...go..." He moved to get up. He didn't want to interrupt something between these two. They seemed really close.

"No....no, go ahead and sit. Xemas is just making fun. Don't get up." He glared at his best friend before setting the blanket on the back of the couch. "You need to eat something, and Xemas never shuts up, especially about things that aren't his business." Celrie leveled another glare.
Xemas shrugged and sipped up some soup. "Sit Ssitris. I'll be good, promise..."

He settled back in his seat. "Okay..." He picked up a piece of tost and slowly nibbled at it. He wasn't that hungry, but Celrie seemed the type to nag like his mother and tell him to eat even if he didn't want to. Leaned back against the fluffy coushions, and let his eyes close. He still nibbled at the toast, but he was just so tired.... The toast slipped from his fingers, and he sighed, breaths coming and going softly.

Xemas sighed, setting down his food. "Mother! He fell asleep eating again..." Celrie tapped hi head in warning.
"Shut up, you'll wake him. He needs rest. If he's been through all of that, he needs more than rest." The vampire sighed and forced Xemas off the couch. "Come on...lets get him laying on the couch so he can rest properly..." Xemas swallowed, remembering their last encounter on teh couch and stood anyways.
He gently helped Celrie to lift Ssitris, since he was too short to pick him up himself, and laid him on the couch. Xemas snatched up the blanket before Celrie could and laid it over the man, tucking it around his body.
"Come on. I'll get the food up later. You can sack out on the floor. I've got a sleeping bag and pillows." The vampire brought him the things and gratefully, Xemas laid down. Before he was completely asleep, his best friend showed up with a tube of cream. "Lips. Goonight Xe...."

Ssitris' brow furrowed in his sleep, and he curled up as much as he could, sinking into the coushions. Even in his sleep, he ached, and felt awful...but at least he knew he'd wake up and be somewhere not near that man...

Xemas layered the gel over his lips, sighing in relief. He tossed it on the coffeetable, looking over at Ssitris. The man looked so vulnerable and small....The incubus turned his face away, brow furrowing, and switched off the light. He slid down in the sleeping bad, head on a soft, clean pillow for once. "Goodnight," he murmured to no one in particular, eyes closing as the nights exhaustion finally overtook him.

A few hours later, Ssitris opened his eyes. The entire house was so quiet...and dark. 'Everyone must be asleep now...' he thought as he sat up with a wince. He rubbed his eye childishly, and glancde around. Celrie had left the soups and everything here...he should at least take care of that...after all it was the least he could do.
He slowly stood, and placed the items back on the tray. Carefully, minding not to step on the snoring Xemas, he moved out of the room in search of the kitchen. It was easy enough to find, at the end of the hall to the left. He placed the tray and it's objects next to the sink on the sounter, and glanced around. It was a nice kitchen...bigger than his at home. So neat and tidy and homey.
Everything seemed to have a place, and fit perfectly. Just like these people, just like things at home. And just like both places, he didn't fit. He ran his fingers over the counter, and the objects dotting it, over the stove, over jars of spices, over the knives, flowers...
He slowly wrapped his fingers about the object that had caught his eye, and looked at it for a moment. He hoped Celrie didn't mind...
His feet padded silently back down the hall, past the stairs and into the bathroom where he shut the door softly. He shimmied out of the pants and fuzzy socks. He liked those... The shirt followed next and he placed them all on the counter before he stepped into the shower. He still felt so dirty. Would he ever be clean?? Even though he'd washed and scrubbed earlier with such hot water, still he couldn't get away from the feeling of grunge.
He turned the knob, and once again let the scalding water spray over him as he slid down the wall to sit on the tiled floor, playing with the shining object. At least now he could get clean...or at least feel like it. He heard that it relieved stress. That it let everything out...
After a long pause, his heart pounding in fear, he drew the blade down his arm, from his inner elbow, to his finger tips. It was amazing....how there was no pain. How there was no blood for a heart beat, and then the dark liquid welled up through the break in the skin, flowing and dribbling against the white and the water. The shower's spray hit him, dampening his hair and plastering it to his face and neck. It watered down the red, and turned it into a bright color. Upset at it, he did the same to his other arm, and as if playing a game, he curled over his new wound this time, trying to keep the water from it. However, when a few drops dribbled from his nose and eyelashes, he found that he wanted to know how long it'd take for it to well up again. He slowly moved his arms under the spray, allowing the blade to drop from his fingers as he watched the water wash away all traces of his life before he drew them back, watching it well up again, smeared and watery this time from the moisture already on his arms.
He was starting to fell sleepy again, but...he didn't want to sleep now. This was...this was...it didn't hurt. Well, it did, but, pain was good, right?? He reached over, picking up the blade again, this time his hands trembling from his loss of blood. He stretched his legs out and leaned back, looking down at his stomache and slowly, pressing the blade in there, drawing it across his flesh in strange patterns that he thought ment something, but the more he though about it, the more they didn't, but did at the same time.
Finally the knife dropped, it's long, silver blade glistening from the light. He wanted to reach out and touch it again, but his vision was getting dim, and he lacked the strength to. Maybe he should just sleep. The scalding water was so good...and he was so comfortable...

Xemas woke, tired, his lips caked with something. It was the gell, dried, but atleast the cuts didn't hurt anymore. He yawned, sitting up and rubbing the messy expanse of his dark hair. It trailed through his fingers and he wished he could tug it out. Black wasn't his color, really. Then again...the green he'd died it before hadn't helped....
The incubus shimmied out of the sleeping bag and stood, stretching his body. Jeskara....he was still a little sore from last night, but it wasn't anything he couldn't deal with. His blue eyes darted to the couch. Empty....Well, the shower was running, so..."Celrie," he groaned out, padding into the hallway, rubbing at his itchy ear. He almost bumped into the vampire in the hallway.
Celrie was standing stock still, his usually deep violet eyes painted red. "Cel...what're you."
"Shh," the vampire hissed, raising his hand. "Blood.....god Xe, it smells so good. And there's alot of it....bathroom...blood...." He licked his lips and Xemas grabbed hold of him, pushign him against the wall.
"I don't think so. I'm going to see. You stay here and...just stay here, understand?" He didn't know how bad the bloodlust urges got for his friend, but he did know there was a law about this kind of thing. Besides, Celrie was so caring, he wasn't about to have him go suck blood from a person in the house. Xemas glared at him before heading to the bathroom. He knocked once, listening. Nothing...
"Ssitris, you in there? I gotta go bad so....and the toilet upstairs is...not working. Hey, are you gonna answ-" He pushed open the door, blue gaze falling on the man. Blood welled and washed away from large cuts in forearms. The incubus froze, unsure what to do, horrified. He'd never...he'd....oh Jeskara..."Celrie!" He screamed, rushing forward. He slammed the tap on the shower off, kneeling in a mix of blood and water, hitting the knife away, otu of the shower. It skittered across tiles and hit the wall.
"Celrie, call someone, quick!" The vampire appeared, struggling but somewhat levelheaded.
"Jesk-I'll go. Ge towels and try to make it stop...look for more!" And then he was gone. Xemas struggled to make himself move. He grabbed piles of towels, holding them to sliced arms. Blood was seeping from under the limp body and he turned the man over, choking. More towels went to the slices in the others stomach and he tried to keep rom throwing up dinner from last night.
"You ass...you stupid freaking....what were you thinking! What were you thinking" He was screaming and...panicking. This was somethign he didn't need to deal with...he didn't...he....Xemas pulled Ssitris up against him so it was easier to hold the rapidly reddening towels to the slashes.

His eyes opened slightly. "...I just....needed it...I'm tired..." His eyes closed again. It was odd. He felt odd... Like...his body was tingling and floating. If he had the strength he would have giggled at the feeling. But he was just so tired. He wanted to sleep.

Xemas glared, trying to get the blood to stop more. It had slowed a bit, but the gashes needed stitched and bandaged. "You didn't....hey, don't you dare go to sleep on me. Open your eyes damn it, understand?!? If you don't, i'll fucking kill you myself, so open those eyes and talk to me..."
Celrie was back moments later, still in control of his vampire side, wringing his hands. "The ambulance ison it's way. And I....I gave them his name. They're calling his family. Xemas, he...I have to get out of here before I do something horrible. I'll wait for the ambulance." Xemas was left alone with the man, his heart pounding against his ribs as the siren rang outside. Only a few minutes....it would be only a little while...

His hearing was foggy. And Xemas was so warm...and smelt nice without all the smells of sex all over him. He tried to open his eyes, he really did, but he felt so good, so nice just leaning here, listening to the shorter man's breathing, and his heartbeat.
He could hear ringing...blaring and wailing. What was that?? He could feel himself slipping further into sleep, and he was being tugged down faster and faster. Just...for a moment he'd sleep. Really.

They were moving to slow....Xemas was panicking and...he was so scared. For some reason, he just couldn't let this man die. He tried his best, finally finding a way to hold all of the towels down. "Idiot...fricken idiot," he kept murmuring, olding the other close. He couldn't tell if Ssitris was asleep or unconcious anymore.
It felt like forever before paramedics were streaming into the bathroom. They made him move, pushed him out of the room and started working over the man. They put a mask over his mouth to help him breath, made temporary bandages for the wounds. Before long they had him on a stretcher and were taking him out of the apartment. Xemas followed blindly, hopping into the back, even if he wasn't invited. Celrie promised to come as quick as he could. First he had to call someone.
Xemas knew who that someone was, and hoped the vampire could make his best friend feel better. Te incubus stayed out of the way, giving as much information when prompted as he could. They had been able to contact a family member, but the hospital wasn't sure if they had the right family. Xemas closed his eyes and leaned hsi head against the wall of the ambulance, unable to watch anymore.

When they arrived at the hospital, Ssitris was gone completely and he was rushed through the doors, nurses and doctors awaiting his arrival as they sped the stretcher to the Emergency Room. A nurse refused Xemas enterance, and threatened to have him detained if he caused any trouble before the nurse scurried into the room as well.
They unwound the bandages and immediately began swiping at the cuts with antiseptic, one doctor tried to find a spot on his arm to place an IV line and the other nessicary tubes. "Geez, this guy fucking destroyed it all, didn't he???" he muttered, moving down to but it in his inner thigh.
Another doctor removed the ambulence's breathing mask and replaced it with a different one, actually hooked up to a machine. A third began stitches on the arm that he stopped bleeding thanks to a lot of iodine that looks as if it had been just thrown over his arm with a bucket.
Outside in the ER's waiting room, a worried life-bearer rushed in, still in his night clothes and slippers, following his groggy mate and dragging along an older life-giver, perhaps the man's son. "Where's my baby??? Where is he?!"
"Ah...um...Mr. C'lada...um...please calm down..." the receptionist tried to soothe the man, a little jumpy at how the man's mate was glaring distpite his obvious irritation at being woken up.
"I will NOT calm down! I want to see my son!! Where's my other one?! Where is he?!"
"He's in with Ssitris right now..."
"I want to see him right now! If my precious little baby is dead, I'll kill you! All of you! Where is he?!"
