"That's my mom," Tatsa said proudly. "And Cythin, my brother. That's my dad," he pointed to Xemas. "And Zoolie's on the table, in the carrier. He's my baby brother."

"Um...Hi. I guess." he greeted with a little smile and a wave.
Ssitris smiled again, "Why don't you two have a seat, hm? I'll have dinner on the table in just a moment."

"Okay, here..." He took Aeread's wrist and drug him to the table. "You can sit here. This is my seat." He climbed up into his chair, pushing the other one beside him out from the table for his friend.
"Nice to meet you," Xemas said, though he didn't sound too happy, more suspicious. He rocked Zoolie gently, tickling his foot.

Ssitris gave his mate a warning glare. "Xemas, be a dear and bring this to the table." He shoved the large plate of meat at him. "And be good." he said with a smile and clenched teeth. He wanted Tatsa's first dinner with a friend to be nice. Not a memory of his father suddenly beating a nine-year-old to death.
He slowly moved to the table, and allowed Cythin to climb up onto his lap. He felt quilty about earlier, so what was a little comfort like this??
Aeread smiled and sat in the chair politely, wriggling under Tatsa's father's gaze. He swore the guy looked like he'd bite his head off...literally.

"Alright, alright," he grinned back, chastised. After all, the kid was nine. Mating was the furthest thing from either of their minds. He didn't need to worry about Tatsa just yet. He set the platter gently in the middle of the table, grabbing plates and passing them around. Silverware came next, and he let Cythin pass them out with help from Ssitris.
"So, we know nothing about you beyond what Tatsa tells us everyday. Where do you live Aeread? Maybe Tatsa can come over sometime to play. After school or we could walk him." He ruffled Tatsa's blonde hair on the way back to his own seat, making the boy pout and try to fix it in vain.

Ssitris giggled s bit at the display.
Aeread took a small bite of his meat. "Um...I live five blocks away, and around a corner. It's in the big part of town. My dad owns a bank."
Ssitris blinked. "A bank? Really?"
He nodded. "Yeah. He's got branches all over the planet! It's really cool. We travel during vacations from school sometimes."
Cythin picked at the meat with his fingers, nibbling at the skin.

"Sounds like fun," Xemas took a bite of his own food, once again rocking Zoolie, smiling when he cooed softly, eyelashes falling closed once more.
"My dad works at the hospital, like Uncle M'lon. So...I can go over to his house, right?" Tatsa fiddled with his food before taking a bite, looking at hsi parents.

"Well," Ssitris began, tapping his fork against his plate. "It's up to your father."

The incubus looked up before shrugging. "Just as long as we know when, I don't mind. Maybe one of these days after school." Tatsa squirmed in joy, smiling brightly.
"Thanks daddy! Um...d..dad, and mom..." He picked his meat apart before taking another bite.

Aeread laughed. That was cute, like a little kid! He'd tease him about it later though.
Ssitris smiled a bit and looked down at the top of Cythin's head, kissing him. "See sweetie? You'll be able to go to friends' houses and everything when you go to school, hm?"
"How old are you?" Aeread asked, directing the question at Cythin.
Cythin simply stared at his plate, picking at his food.
Ssitris smiled a bit. "He's just a little shy. He's 6. He'll start school in a couple of days. I hope you two will keep a good eye on him."
Aeread smiled politely. "Will do Mr. Crane."

"Yep," Tatsa nodded. "Haeleo was even talking about it. He said Cythin could walk with us." He hadn't put it so nicely, but Tatsa remembered his little brothers screaming. He didn't want to make him upset again.
Xemas was the first to finish his food. He took his plate to the sink, rinising it off before coming back. "I'll go put Zoolie in the nursery to sleep. Be back in a minute." Gently he picked the child up from the carrier, setting it aside before leaving the room. The kit seemed sleepy and Ssitris had already fed him...
He tucked him into his crib, kissing his fuzzy head before leaving.

Ssitris smiled brighter, "That's so sweet of him! He'll grow up to be a very elegant Gentleman, I know it yet!"
Aeread laughed at that. "Ha...Haeleo...a gentleman...hahahahhaa!!!"

Tatsa poked Aeread in warning. "He's nice....when he wants to be..." He didn't want the boy going and telling him exactly what Haeleo had said about Cythin.
"What's so funny?" Xemas walked back in, taking his seat beside Ssitris. He looked at their six year old who was successfully making a goopey mess out of meat, which he didn't think was possible...

Ssitris furrowed his brow. "Aeread just started laughing when I said Haeleo would grow up to be a gentleman!"

"With Eravan for a father, I doubt it," he grumbled, his own smile fighting to streak across his face. If Celrie were here, he would wholeheartedly object. Aeread's laughing got Tatsa giggling.
"He can be rude sometimes..." he offered his mother, clearly seeing the man didn't get it.
