"I don't know," Akira answered, smiling when Kaden didn't start complaining again. "What time is it?" he asked, tilting his head and scrunching up his face. He was so dependant on the sun to tell him around what time of day it was that living on a sunless planet really confused him. Though he knew he would get used to it eventually.

Kaden shrugged before glancing down at his watch. "It's half past 13. We have to use Army time here... 'cause... you know... the no morning or day thing...," he explained lightly.

"So that means it's afternoon?" Akira mumbled to himself. "Well, what do you do here all day by yourself?" he asked.

Kaden shrugged, not really wanting to answer because he knew that Akira probably wouldn't like it. "Just pretty much whatever I felt like doing," he stated with a shrug. True enough, he thought idly.

Akira sighed, crossing his arms as he tried to think of something to do. All the while he was lightly biting his bottom lip. "Well... what did you feel like doing sometimes?" he asked, tilting his head questioningly.

Kaden sighed and shrugged noncomittally, walking over to wrap Akira in a hug. "I really can't think of anything. Usually when I get real bored I asked Boss for some sort of job, but that's not really a 'you and me' thing to do," he mumbled.

"Oh, I see," Akira said softly. He wrapped his arms around Kaden and snuggled against him gladly. "Does he give you a lot of jobs even if you don't ask for them?" he asked after a hesitant pause.

Kaden sighed and shrugged. "I can ask for them whenever I want... but if it's really important, he asks me to do it...," he explained softly, nuzzling the boy's hair gently.

Akira smiled when Kaden nuzzled his hair. "So... unless you ask, or if it's something important, than you won't have to go do anything?" he asked. Before his mate could answer, he asked another question. "Are all of the jobs you've done dangerous?"

Kaden shrugged and nodded. "Yeah... Kinda... I guess. I mean, they weren't when I first came here, obviously, but for a pretty long time they have been. It's really nothing to worry about," he explained with a nonchalant shrug.

"Mm," Akira mumbled, worrying his bottom lip. He snuggled closer to Kaden unconsciously. "You get paid a lot, right? Doing dangerous things, your boss should be paying you well!"

Kaden chuckled, placing a hand on the boy's cheek. "I get paid well enough, I suppose," he said lightly before leaning forward and kissing his mate's forehead lightly. "What do you see as 'paying me well'?"

Akira shrugged, tapping his chin lightly. "I don't know. A lot, though. Like $2,000?" he suggested, his face scrunching up. "Or for things when you have to go to a different planet more like 8,000."

Kaden laughed lightly. "Meeting you was the first time I've ever been off of Jeskara. And two thousand is... a bit more than what I get paid... Not by too much, though," he admitted, "Though it does differ from one job to the next."

"Well, if it was my decision I would pay you a whole lot more than that," Akira pouted. "Even if you say it's not big deal, you're still in danger so... you should be paid a lot," he nodded. He paused a moment. "I can understand your pay differing, though."
He sighed quietly, and buried his face in his mate's chest. "Do you get any good channels on that TV?" he asked. "I don't watch TV much because my dad doesn't like us to."
