With a heave, Corwin helped lift the last crate onto the transportation pod before dropping back with a sigh. “That’s it, right?”
Xhaies chuckled and began the process of closing up the pod. “Sure is Cap’in. Don’t worry though, there’s more to come.” The older man couldn’t help but tease his charge, turning dark eyes on the other’s form. “Why don’t you go frolic among the city-goers? Hit a nightclub or something while I gather the next information.” Seeing the other about to protest, he held up his hand “Really, I can handle it until tomorrow morning. So shoo.” Making an accompanying motion with his hands, the older man all but pushed the other out of the dock area.
“Fine, fine. I can take a hint you know.” Sighing, Corwin took off his glasses and gave them to the other while he dug for his eye clearer. “Hold on to those for me, okay?” Narrowing his eyes, he quickly dabbed a few drops in, blinking as the prescription set in. “I’ll expect a report at 0600 hours tomorrow morning Lieutenant.”
Turning without another word, Corwin, blended into the streets of Jokadi. Taking a deep breathe, he wondered when he had last been on the planet. Surely enough time had passed to get a new tattoo, right? With a smirk on his face, Corwin headed towards the Majikadai district, though he kept a discreet hand held tense.

Amoris strolled the streets of Jokadi, whistling a careless tune. For once, he wasn't lost...Well, not really. It was more like walking around without an actual purpose except to buy whatever caught his fancy.
He had tickets to go to Sensaforia in a week's time. For some good old 'rest and relaxation'. At least, that's what his master had said. The brunette figured that it was to keep his mind off of Perin's disappearance and the upcoming breaks.
It was always the same though. Breaks would come and he would become depressed over being left alone...He had always had his best friend to keep him company before though...
The Jshiko shook his head to rid himself of such negative thoughts. He had some shopping for his trip to do. Best part was that he didn't have to pay! With that thought in mind, he headed for the Majikadai district where he had seen one of those interesting stores that sells just about everything.

Two hours later Corwin found himself walking out of the Majikadai ran body parlor with his shirt missing. The area from his left shoulder down to the elbow was slightly red, and it was moments like this that he cursed his mixed blood, the tattoo pain tolerance lower than on a pure bred Majikadai. Still, the newest work was beautiful.
Holding his arm up to the light, Corwin couldn’t help the small smile that came over his face as he read the runes and intertwining leaflets of ivy that was sprawled elegantly along his bicep before dropping it. Kyrian had really out done himself this time.
Sighing, Corwin looked up in time to just jump out of the way of crashing into someone, though he still smacked the other in the face. He couldn’t help the shock that showed on his face – he’d become that enamored with his own body? Looking up into the odd jade eyes, he once again couldn’t help himself, choking on an intake of breath. “Oh, oh. I’m sorry. Blood behind, I was so caught up…”
Shaking his head to dispel his thoughts, he offered a sheepish yet cautious smile – he was still on Jeskara, and who knew what type of people wouldn’t like him being here after his forefathers banishment. “I am sorry about that. I think you might bruise…”

Amoris raised his eyebrow in question. He had just been walking, trying to get to the store he had seen the other day...Somewhere in that equation though, someone had ran into him. Interesting...Most people were wary of others on the planet unless they were in a club or school or something.
"Um..No prob," he muttered, rubbing his arm a bit. The other was right; he probably would bruise. "Just be careful next time and watch where you're going...It works out better that way for yourself and others, then if you were admiring yourself."
He paused and shrugged, peering down at the other's arm. "No matter how nice your tat is...Where'd you get it donw?" he asked curiously. It really was nice craftsmanship.

A breathless laugh at his own stupidity and expense escaped his lips. “Yes, I’m so enamored with my body you see. Narcissistic to the core.” Shaking his head, he stepped back while shaking his head, Corwin once again brought up his arm. “Er, a couple street’s over? I didn’t really pay much attention to the name, rather the fact that I know that I can trust Kyrian and knowing the location was enough.”
Shifting his weight, he looked around. No random people staring yet. Guess he retained enough of his blood looks to not stand out too much, but that was usually too much to hope for. “So what are you doing in this corner of the woods? Trees are splendid, ne?”
The fact that there were no trees didn’t bother Corwin that much. If noticed, either act eccentric and be labeled as a loon, or be one of those dangerous off setting types. And seeing as he had already ruined the second image by merely apologizing – in Jeskara’s Capital of all places! – he’d best play the second and hope that he wouldn’t have to proverbially eat shit before killing off preconceived notions.
There was, of course, the chance that the other would not be like most of his distant fourth slash fifth or more cousins that were out for his blood out of the sole reason of something or other. Yet the case still applied, spread chaos and cackle evilly as discord is sown in even proportions.
A distant part of Corwin’s mind piped up helpfully that he shouldn’t have left Kyrian’s shop while clearly in a tipping balance state. That he must be confusing the man in front of him badly with his constantly changing faces. Corwin ignored that voice, instead looking back at the other with a critical eye after shaking off the other mood.

Amoris cocked his head and stared at the other man in a mix of confusion and amusement. The other was somewhat funny...what with the facial expressions and questions...Yet so random and odd.
"...Well, Yeah. Trees are 'splendid', I guess. I only have one woods by my house though. I never took time to examine them before, but I'll be sure to now...," he said slowly before laughing a bit. Okay, so he probably shouldn't have laughed at the obviously messed up guy...But the situation was a funny one.
The brunette scratched his neck, trying to think of something else to say. He couldn't really, so when he next opened his mouth, the first thing he thought of popped out. "Wow. You're an odd little bugger, ain't'cha?" He slightly blushed when he realized what he said and smiled apologetically.

Shaking his head, Corwin couldn’t hold in his own chuckle. “Not usually. But seeing as I’m numb from my navel to the tips of my left arm, I guess it would seem that way. It’s a decidedly distracting sensation.” A pause; he was skipping topics again, wasn’t he? “The arm that is. Really, this happens every time I get a new tattoo, but I always seem to forget about it by the time that the needle has already been inside me.”
Shrugging, he looked up at the taller, lankier, dark haired male. “I am Corwin. So why are you in the Majikadai ‘territory’ and what’s your name?”

Amoris shrugged his shoulders nonchalantly before smiling. “Name’s Amoris,” he said, sticking his hand out for the other. “As for the reason I’m here, I came to shop. There’s a pretty cool store not to far from here. A some-of-this, some-of-that kinda place…”
He paused and looked over Corwin for a second before his smile grew bigger. “And what of you, Corwin? If you don’t mind be calling you that, though I can’t see what else I’d call you since that is the name you gave me…,” he rambled for a bit. He had a bad habit of doing that…Along with getting lost or forgetting things…
It took him a moment to remember his place before continuing again. “…So what are you up to?” he asked, focusing. “I mean, you don’t look like much of a Jeskarian either yet here you are in Majikadai ‘territory’, as you called it.” He tilted his head to the side in curiosity, waiting for an answer.

Shaking his head in an attempt to clear the fuzziness, he shuddered at the lack of effectiveness in the move. “Those kind of shops are all around here. I didn’t give my last name because if I do I full expect to be gutted because of said last name, so Corwin is fine.”
Turning slightly to walk along side the taller man, Corwin swallowed thickly before continuing. “Technically I can claim legacy in the far south east forest Sharadon with my ancestry.” It was something that he knew vaguely, though he actually did have a few memories of the community tree top cluster of homes to bring forth to mind. He even remembered a few of the family names that their cluster was shared with, surprisingly; obviously one being Kyrian’s family.
“I came here specifically to get a new tattoo. Renewing is another word to use I suppose. It is nearing the annual restoration of cloture, and while I will not be in attendance for various reason’s, I still have to reaffirm my heir status.” Corwin paused at that; he shouldn’t have been saying that. Not the ‘don’t say that to a stranger’ type, but rather he said it knowing full well that he hadn’t been the first choice for Heir. Rubbing the bridge of his nose in place of his usual glasses habit, he sighed. “And it was also a fancy I suppose. I like tattoos, but I don’t live in a n environment to get tattoo’s often, so I do so when I can. The timing just happens to match.”

Amoris nodded slightly in semi-understanding. "I suppose that makes sense...Though I don't know that much about geography and the like, so you'll have to excuse me. I don't really study that kind of thing. I'm more into just...Well, I dunno. Life, I guess...," he muttered the last part; half to Corwin and half to himself.
"Anyways, I don't mind about the name bit. I mean, it's not like I gave you my surname," he said before tilting his head to ponder over this . "Though that was more outta laziness then actual need..." He shrugged off the thought and continued.
"Oh, and your tattoo does really look good. I'd get one for myself, but you know how teachers are. Purification and all that. It was such a long-shot by which I got my earrings." He shrugged again before putting his hands behind his head and laughed. "They probably couldn't resist the thought of how good I'd look with them...Which if I may say so, is very good." Another laugh. "...Okay, so I can be vain."

Vain? That was one way of putting it. Personally, Corwin would have chosen the word egotistical, but that was him. He held his tongue, shrugging instead. “Is it because of the chemicals in the tattoo or just the overall desecrating of the body thing?” He never understood the latter idea; it was too hypocritical in many senses. It’s the mind’s nature to not be pure based off of good and bad, because opinions fluctuate depending.
“I do ship work” No need to point out he was captain, “I need to understand the coordinates of space, so land geography is something required for ship proportions. If you miscalculate how fast your going in space, the upcoming planets gravity due to land mass and atmosphere, and the stabilization of the area whether it be trees or land by ocean, it can wreck the ship.” Okay… so much for that, the ‘smartness’ in that statement just might have given it away.
Blinking and scrunching up his nose, Corwin felt the wooziness coming back full force. “Erm, where are you going? I really don’t want to pass out on the street and if you would be so kind to direct me somewhere?” That made no sense, even to his befuddled mind, but he paid it no heed. Wait. Didn’t the other already answer that question?

Amoris frowned slightly, looking at Corwin with a small amount of unease. It looked like the poor young man was about to pass out and he wasn't really sure how to do if that happened. "Well...I think we're not allowed to have them because of the chemicals that are used in tattoos...," he said, shrugging. "But whatever."
Glancing over the other again, he had to let out a small impressed sound. In a sense, he was sometimes considered an idiot by teachers, but...At least, the student has a vague idea of what Corwin meant by telling of what he did, even if he didn't really understand.
The brunette did understand that the other was very...befuddled at the moment. "Um...I said I was going to a little shop somewhere in town. I don't really know the name of it..." He sighed after a moment and took Corwin by the arm. "Come with me then. You look like you need help. I can take you to a place for you to sleep this off though," he said.

Corwin’s immediate response was to shake his head, and he did so, it was just that the action caused him to careen straight off the walk and would have tripped had it not been for the supporting hand. “Fine fine. But sleep won’t help, it’s not like I’m drunk and it needs to run out of my system; well, it does, but it’s more that I’ll be fine once it gets past the first stage of the numbing agent. Some food and a few hours of staring into nothingness would be sufficient.”
That made little sense, but the redhead left it at that point anyway, choosing instead too look at the two toned eyes that the other male had. They were… weird, though they were not the first time he had encountered the two colored eyes that wasn’t a blend. In fact, Corwin specifically remembered some mechanic that upgraded his ship once, and not to mention Xhaies’ natural love for not keeping the same eye color for more than a few days.
Sighing, golden eyes looked at the area he was being led to. A bit more residential than he was used to, but not so much that he was lost.

Amoris shrugged at Corwin’s small ramble and just continued to lead the other to his friend’s house. “Well, there is food here…And I’m sure you can stare into space all you like,” he replied. Yeah…
The Jshiko finally pulled the other to a small little house with a smile. He didn’t even really bother knocking on the door before going in. He looked around for a moment before gesturing for Corwin to get comfortable on the couch, if he so wished. He turned and called, “Jet?!”
A smaller man stepped out from some corner of the dark house and looked at the two. “Yes, Amoris?”
“I met this guy while shopping…He just got a tattoo and the chemicals are…making him a little dizzy,” the brunette paused and shook his head before going on. “Corwin, this is Jet. Hope you don’t have anything against Vampyres, anyways…Um, Jet, this is Corwin.”

Corwin’s head tilted to the side, inspecting the Vampyre that had stepped out for a moment before making a noncommittal noise in the back of his throat before speaking. “I have no bias against them, so long as I’m not asked continuously to be a personal blood donor.”
A nice way to distract himself, Corwin decided, would be to correct his dark haired crutch’s opinion on how the chemicals worked. “It’s not like my blood would taste very good at the moment anyway, and the compound doesn’t make me dizzy directly; it causes other bodily reactions, which make my senses off balance.”
He bit his lip, his perception of the room blurring and brightening all at once, and couldn’t withhold a soft curse. He shook Amoris’ hand off his arm and sat on the floor with a thump, brought his hands up to his temples, bit back the reaction to curl up right there on the floor.
Almost as suddenly as the fit came, it was over, and he untangled his hands from his hair with a sigh. Not gone, but he’d stay sitting. Had he almost passed out? Xhaies was going to freak about that. The Dragonis was so overprotective, not to mention he’d be chewed out for having tried the thingamajig that Kyrian had been experimenting on.
