Angelo was pouting since the moment Quidel said his idea wouldn't work. The nickname was lovely but.... How could people do that? Just let people live without money, without food. It was... cruel. The man couldn't think of another word to describe it. But after a moment, when Laina wrapped his arm around his waist, he smiled. He had no idea what was going through his mind right now. Walking around with two strangers, with their arms all around eachother. If Kalil could see me now, he chuckled quietly to himself.

Quidel smiled as he saw the two wrap their arms around each other. It was sweet...Which was something he didn't really understand because he never wanted to share. This time though...It made him happy that they got along and for some reason he didn't really have a sexual thought about them at all. It would be nice...but he didn't want to force their hands like he did to other men. Whether that was good or bad, he still had yet to decide.
"Um...Oh, right," he muttered, coming back from his own thoughts. "I was wondering because...if you want I think I may have a job for you. I mean, I can pay you and all that and it'll probably be more then what you're making now. You could come as well, Angelo. That is if you wanted...," he said, chuckling. "Who knows maybe if we're all there, work will go faster and be more fun."

Laina's eye's grew. "You-... you're serious?... I-... I that's.... wow! Thank you so much!" He hugged Quidel tightly before pulling back and blushing. "S-sorry!"
"Laina? Lai, is that you?" Laina jumped and glanced around, spotting his brother coming towards them on the street. He waved to him and watched as his older sibling approached. "Lai? Where have you been, boy? Ma 'n Pa have been worried sick about you!" Laina blushed.
"I'm sorry! See, I was walking, when Angelo jumped out of a tree and landed on me, then Quidel came up, and we introduced ourselves and... and, I was going to leave, but I didn't, because I knew mother would worry, but I just couldn't, you know? So we talked and we started off towards here, and I told them about home, and Angelo thought it was sad that we couldn't always afford food and then-" Sezja put his hand over his brother's mouth to stop the fast flow of words.
"There is a point to this story... right?" Laina pouted and licked his brother's hand. "Ew! Gross! Lai, I can't believe you did that!" The Jshiko stuck his tongue out.
"There's a point to every story I tell! You just don't have a sense of humor to be able to see it most the time! Anyway! As I was about to say: Quidel said he might be able to get me a job better than just painting at the sqaure! Isn't that great!" Sezja smiled brightly and ruffled his brother's hair.
" 'Course it is! Why didn't you say so in the first place?" Laina glared at him playfully. "Well, are your friends coming inside? Ma would love to meet 'em." Laina almost frowned. Their mother would undoubtledly want to entertain them just like any other host would... even though they couldn't afford it. But for some reason, it didn't really bother him. Angelo and Quidel were well worth it.
"Yes! Come on, let's go inside before we freeze out here!"

Angelo smiled at the brothers' banter. It was funny to see them act like that. Shadow and Nebula almost never treated him like that. Mostly they treated him like a little child, hence why he was so naive. It was also nice to Laina so relaxed. The man had been so nervous around them. "We get to meet your mother?" he asked excitedly, clapping his hands together. "I.... That'll be nice," he added quietly, biting his lip in a nervous manner. He always felt weird meeting people's parents, since his died when he was young. He wasn't sure how to act around them.

Qyuidel nodded in agreement to Angelo's statement about meeting Laina's life-giver. "Although, I probably can't stay too long," he added regretfully. Zania was coming over that night, so he needed to be there. The older man would have a hissy-fit if he wasn't.

Laina smiled. "That's okay. Come on, let's get inside." He led the others up the shaggy steps and into the damaged home. There were floor boards that had bowed from age; the wallpaper was discolored and peeling off the walls. The first room upon entering was the kitchen/living room, which comprised a dripping sink, crumbling countertops, a sometimes questionable oven, a table with three and half legs, and an old couch that was undoubtedly missing a few springs. The only other rooms in the house were a bathroom and one bedroom that they all had to share. Laina blushed as he watched the two men look around with wide eyes. He glanced up when he heard the bedroom door squeal open.
"Laina! I heard you met some friends tonight! Let me see them!" Laina smiled at his mother and hugged him lightly.
"Hello mother. Yes, I did. This is Angelo, and this is Quidel."

Poor Laina, Angelo thought when he saw what the man had to live in every day. And people let this happend?? He sighed quietly and glanced up when he heard a door open. "Laina! I heard you met some friends tonight! Let me see them!" a man said, hugging the light haired man.
"Hello mother," Laina said. So this was his mother! Angelo grinned at the man. "Yes, I did. This is Angelo, and this Quidel."
"Hi! It's nice to meet you... Laina's mother!" he said, laughing quietly when he said that.

Quidel wasn't so bothered by the looks of the house. It did make him sad...Very much so, actually, but he knew that it couldn't be helped. Well, he would try to help as best as he could, and perhaps Angelo's brother would really help Laina. It was questionable, but...Anything was worth a try.
The pale blond chuckled lightly then when he held the youth by his side. It was funny how Angelo addressed Laina's mom, but it was true that no one had mentioned the older man's name. "Yes, quite a pleasure. I have to ask though, how are we supposed to call you? ...And your older son, I believe it was? I don't think anyone has said yet..." he murmured in thought.

Laina blushed terribly. "I-I'm so sorry! I can't believe I was so rude!" He smacked himself lightly on the forehead. "This is my mother, Decia, and my brother, wherever he went, is Sezja. He turned back to his mother, "Is father still at work?" Decia nodded sadly.
"Unfortunately, he'll be dead tired tomorrow at his other job... Oh, but now I'm nagging. Please you two, come inside and get comfortable. I'll make some soup to warm us up." Laina kissed his mother's cheek.
"Thank you, mother."

Angelo smiled at Decia as he left to cook the soup. "Your mother cooks?" he asked curiously, flopping on the couch gracefully. "Shadow and Nebula don't cook... and they won't let me cook, either. They say I would blow up the whole house if I did!" he giggled, throwing his hands up into the air for effect. "We have a cook...," he started quietly, biting his lip. "But I don't like him, he's a meany," he stuck his tongue out playfully. Suddenly, a quiet tune starting playing from the cross breed's leg. "Ooh! That's my cell phone," he said, blushing in embarrassment.
He lifted his loose pant leg, revealing that his little blue cell phone was strapped to his leg. "Oh, it's Kalil," he mumbled, flipping it open. "Hi Kal-Kal!" he said into the phone happily. There was a quiet mumbling. "I met some new friends, Quidel and Laina.... I'm at Laina's house.... What?.... I don't.... What's...." You could hear yelling coming from the phone, but the other people in the room couldn't understand it unless they listened carefully. "I-It's in his neighborhood, Kalil.... No, you don't hav-.... They-they won't rape me, Kalil. I mean, I don't know what that means, but it doesn't sound nice and they are really really nice people!...." Angelo bit his lip and glanced at his new friends. "Kalil... bye, Kalil. I'll see you tomorrow," he said quietly, hanging up the phone and slipping it back on his leg. "He-he was not being very nice.... I'm sorry that I had to answer that."

Quidel frowned slightly. At least it was a good thing that Kalil hadn't found out that he was an Incubus then if he was going to yell about 'rape'...Although, he wasn't even sure if the others knew that about him. They might be more wary of him if they did. He would never do that to Angelo though, or Laina for that matter...He liked the other boys too much. He looked at both of them and his frown quirked up at the edges, turning it into a smile.
He'd like to even go so far as to call them friends. He hadn't actually had any friends for awhile. One-night stands were kept only as one-night, and while Zania was a friend, the other man was older then him by a decade or so. This...his friendship or relationship or whatever with Angelo and Laina was so much better then any of those.
His belly disagreed though, and said the one-night stands were better. He quickly willed it to quit growling. While soup wasn't the best thing to satisfy his hunger, it would have to do.
"It's okay, Moonbeam. Your friend was just concerned about you. It's only logical since you took off without telling anyone. At least they know now, right?" he asked before adding, "Though they might not be very happy about it, it's still something."

Laina blushed furiously. The differences between himself and the others were pain-stakingly obvious. Laina didn't even have a phone, and here Angelo had one hooked to his leg! He watched as his guests sat down beside eachother and smiled. For some reason, it warmed him to see the two were close. He quickly unfolded his easil and set up his paints. He grabbed a canvas and stared quietly at Angelo and Quidel. "C-Could you... could you guys just stay like that for... just for a moment, please?"

"Kalil's just a worry wart," Angelo complained to Quidel, smiling because of the use of the nickname again. "He thinks everyone is out to get me!" He shook his head in annoyance and glanced up at Laina when he spoke. A grin appeared on his face when he saw the 'painter stuff' as he called it. "Are you going to paint us?" he asked excitedly, eager to see his new friend's work.

Laina blushed and nodded. "It won't take long, once I get it sketched I can get the coloring by myeself." He put his pencil to the canvas and quickly sketched the two figures, taking special care to get their facial features as perfect as possible.

Quidel watched as Laina sketched them with a small smile. He had never been sketched before; he had always been the one to do the sketching. It was kind of interesting to see the artist from this point of view.
He glanced at Angelo from the corner of his eye and then back to Laina. "Well, I can see why he'd be worried, you know. About both of you, really...I can see why people would get nervous about you being gone from their side. With looks like yours, it's surprising that everyone isn't out to get you," he said, trying to stay as still as possible for Laina.
