Angelo watched Quidel run after Laina, without even finishing his sentence. The dull pain that began when Laina left, grew once Quidel did as well. It was strange, and very confusing. He didn't know why he was feeling this way. It felt like... part of him was missing when the other two left his side. And the feeling just kept getting worse. "Wha...," he mumbled to himself, stepping back a little. "Mmm," he whimpered when his chest hurt even more.
Without thinking, he set off at a sprint for the two pale haired boys.

Quidel grimaced when Laina called him 'Mr. Midas'. "No, no...That simply won't do. I'm just Quidel. It's rather odd hearing people call me 'Mister," he said before pausing.
Now that he was actually standing next to the boy he had chased after, he was unsure about what it was that had propelled him there. Whatever it was though was trying to push him in the other direction now. He blinked, confused for a second. "I just wanted to ask..."
He glanced around him and smiled as Angelo approached. He had an idea then. He looked over at the scarfed young man and slipped an arm around him. He waited until Angelo was close enough before slipping an arm around him too. "We'll walk you home," he suggested for the both of them.
"I mean...It's not like I had anything really...waiting there at the party for me," he said, purposely ignoring the growl from his stomach. "Did either of you?"

Laina blushed and looked down at the hand around his waist. His body was warming up at the touch. "I-I... I did not partake of anything of the sort. I wasn't at the party. I was... I was just... walking home," he said with sigh. He hoped Quidel wasn't serious about walking him home. The man seemed so... financially inclined. Laina was embarressed just imagining letting either one of them see his shack of house.... He'd never been ashamed of his home before. He glanced up at Angelo and Quidel and blushed even more.

"Kalil might...," Angelo trailed off, shaking his head. "I would much rather walk you home though, Laina!" he smiled at the blushing boy. He leaned into Quidel, a little awkwardly. It felt strange being held by some one he barely knew... but also nice for a strange reason. "Where do you live, Laina?" he asked.

Quidel nodded, also curious. after all, they couldn't take the boy home if he didn't know where he lived. Still though...he wasn't exactly sure why he cared so much. He shouldn't...

Laina blushed and hid his face. "Um... Umm.... Over... Over that way," he mumbled, pointing a finger in the general direction of his home. If the two beautiful men hadn't discovered his social status yet, he didn't want them too. He shook his head at himself. No matter what, they'll figure out soon anyway. "I-It's not all that far from here but..." He sighed and shook his head. What would his mother say if he came home late, with two beautiful men? Oh, the quick conclusions that could be made. He blushed even further at what that insinuated.

Angelo frowned at how vague Laina was being. He wasn't even sure where 'over that way' was. And the boy seemed really embarrassed. About what? The cross breed licked lips and tilted his head curiously. "Laina... what is all that stuff you're carrying?" he asked and placed his hand on the hand that was on his waist, belonging to Quidel.

Quidel smiled slightly at Angelo, tightening his grasp just a might before peering over into Laina's arms. He hadn't noticed that before. "Do you work with some kind of business or something?" he asked, wondering if that's why the small boy was carrying a suitcase.
He looked closer and spotted a small spot of color on the side of it. His face brightened as he nodded towards the case. "You're an artist?"

Laina smiled ever-so-slightly. "I- Yes I am. I.... I paint portraits for people in the square to help my family collect money," he mumbled. There, that wasn't so hard, right?... Yeah, now I just have to look them in the eye. he thought sadly. He glanced up to see their faces, hoping he wouldn't have to explain further, but feeling that he would have to anyway.

Angelo's eyes narrowed a little. "Collect money?" he asked curiously. "Why?" He tilted his head to the side. In his life, he never thought about money. Shadow and Nebula took care of that. So the thought the some one his age would have to work hadn't really occured to him before.

Quidel raised an eyebrow as well, but had a different question. "You work in the square?" he asked, surprised. "Does that make good money?"

Laina shrugged. "It gets us fed," he mumbled quietly to Quidel. "I-I...I have to. My family... we..." He sighed heavily and mumbled. He knew by the looks on their faces that they hadn't heard him, so he repeated himself. "We don't have very much money.... hmph, that's an understatement! We just barely have enough to pay the bills and still eat enough to not go to bed hungry." He blushed and looked away, glaring at the street. Any second now, they would pull away from him, and he'd be lonely and cold again.

Angelo's eyes widened. Poor Laina! "What do you mean?! Don't have food.... Why doesn't the...," he waved his hand in a vague motion, "... government people do anything? Maybe they just don't know?" he asked, his face scrunching up in confusion. "If my brother knew people were living like that, he would have done something. I-I'm sure...," he trailed off, thinking about Nebula. He did something for the government, Angelo wasn't really sure what. But it had never mattered before. The cross breed slipped out of Quidel's arm and to Laina's other side. He slipped an arm around his shoulders hesitantly. "I'll tell him, and then maybe you can have more money... and then you won't run out of food again!" he smiled, happy at his resolve, no matter how naive he sounded.

Quidel lightly smiled at Angelo's suggestion, but shook his head sadly. "Sorry, moonbeam," he said to the elegant youth, not even realizing the use of the endearment as it slipped pass his lips. "It's like that on all the planets. There's always some fraction of the people unaccounted for and end up not having enough. The government just kids of...glosses over them. They try to help...sometimes, but it's hardly enough," he explained.
His clear blue eyes focused on Laina then. He looked thoughtful for a moment before he nodded to himself as if reaching a solution. "Starshine?" he asked curiously, once again using an endearment unconsciously. "Are you good at organizing stuff?"

Laina glanced up at Quidel with a blush. "Hm?! M-me? 'Starshine'?" He blushed even deeper and bit his lip. "Um... well... I don't know, sort of... I guess.... why?" He smiled slightly, these two gorgeous men he'd just met were being nicer to him than most the people that lived in his neighborhood. He could help but smile at Angelo's simplistic, yet idealistic, thoughts and hestitantly slipped his arm around the man's waist. He was slightly aghast at himself, he'd never act so forward to others, but these men... they seemed so different from everyone else, Laina couldn't seem to help himself.
