Kai shook his head, trying to deny the offered money but apparently Kad did not want any of that. He sighed softly, but took it and slipped it in his pocket. It was really nice of his 'parents' to do that for him. Though they were probably just happy he was hanging out with some one other than Hocus.
Speaking of... the redhead blushed lightly when Kad realized whom he was looking. "Oh...," he said, a bit disappointed at not being able to say good-bye. "Well, I guess I'll see him later then. Good bye!" he said, smiling at the mates as he left.
"Good bye, nice meeting you," Yuki said politely.
The two friends wandered around for awhile to find a place to eat as they reminisced. They finally decided on a restaurant that specialized in pastas and such. Yuki was still used to the Sensaforian way of eating, so only ate meat sparingly. He missed it, but was still accustomed to not eating anything with a face.
They finished lunch after about a half hour, then when out to shop - with the money Kad gave Kai. Of course, Yuki had his own cash as well, but his younger friend offered to pay if he found something he liked. Knowing Yuki it was not surprising to find them at a clothing store. It sold a lot of fine clothes, and nice jewelry,
"You really need a new wardrobe, Kai," Yuki said, looking through some clothes. "I don't know what you've been doing the last few years... but you need help," he teased.
Kai blushed lightly. "Yes, well, none of us really care about what's 'in'. And I like my clothes!" he pouted.
His friend laughed lightly. "You're still cute, Kai. I think you'll always be cute." The redhead blushed more and hid his face in a rack of clothing. That only made his friend laugh more. "Come on, I'm going to buy you a ring."
The silver haired boy wrapped an arm around the younger to lead him to the jewelry. Kai was still blushing, but now because of the arm around him. Yuki had always been so affectionate. "You still like purple, right?"
"Mhm," the redhead nodded.
"How about this one?" Yuki held up a silver ring with a small purple stone kept in place by a flowery clasp.
Kai smiled slightly, taking the ring between his fingers. "It's really pretty, Yuki. But you can't buy it for me... I mean, it's probably ex-" Yuki rolled his eyes, took the ring then told the cashier he would like to purchase it.
Once they were outside, Kai pouted at his friend. "I told you not to buy it."
"But you like it, so stop complaining! Now come here, lets see it on you." Kai blushed lightly when his hand was taken and the ring was slipped onto his finger. "Beautiful," Yuki murmured.
"Mhm. It is," he said, looking up. But he found that his friend wasn't looking at the ring, but at him, and it made him blush more, but he smiled shyly. They weren't little kids anymore....
