Crash and Burn (PG-13+)

[Cameron]

"I guess I got a little restless," he replied, reaching upward to scratch the Zercan's ears. "I just wandered, nothing too much - I'm not a snoop or anything." The Humanoid gave Sebastian an extra scratch to say 'and that's that'. He grinned widely. "God, you're just like a really big kitten... As in, no one can stop petting you for long..." Cameron ran his hand through his hair after that statement, and just about purred himself.

[Bast]

Sebastian smiled sleepily and put an arm around the other boy. "Mmm...I wouldn't really know. No one besides you has really petted my ears before. That does feel really good though..." Another deep purr left him and he flicked his ears around a bit.

"Don't worry about the wandering though. Everything's that is mine, is yours. You can look all you want," he said, stretching. "Though I recommend sleep now for the both of us."

[Cameron]

Cameron nodded in agreement, smiling. "I suppose that would be a good option... I mean, I have had a pretty hectic day, as I'm sure you have as well," the Humanoid said, leaning over until his head rested on the arm of the couch, and the other half of him was snuggled nicely by the Zercan's side.

[Bast]

Sebastian made a sound of agreement and stood, pulling his mate into his arms again. With his head bent, he sarted walking back toawrds the bedroom with his nose buried against Cameron's collarbone. The other smelled really nice...

Shaking his head, he went into the bedroomn and placed the slightly smaller boy onto the bed before climbing on himself. He gently covered the other with the comforter and blanket before curling up in a cat's position next to him. Something inside him said that it would be the perfect time to claim his mate, but for once, the voice feel on deaf ears. The black haired Zercan was content for the moment with what he had and he knew no one could take that other from him. They were in the middle of the forest, so there was really nobody to question his claim.

With that thought in mind, he kissed Cameron on the lips once more and closed his eyes. "Good night," he whispered softly as he prepared himself for sleep.

[Cameron]

Cameron was, needless to say, surprised. Who went around kissing people they just met? Although his physical self didn't seem to mind, the Humanoid's mental self did. Sure, he liked the other; he was nice and he took him in and all that, but what was with all the cuddling? He shrugged it off, as a tiny voice in the back of his mind told him over and over just who the man sitting beside him was. Too bad Cameron was a selective listener - even when it came to himself. He sniffed and closed his eyes, pulling the covers closer to him and turning to face the wall. He had half expected to be left on the couch, and while that was just fine, he'd rather be here. "Night," he replied, albeit a little lately, and went to sleep.

[Bast]

The morning sun shining directly into his face coupled with the singing birds was what woke Sebastian the next morning. A small grumble of annoyance left him and he turned over, trying to get back to sleep. It seemed impossible; he just couldn't go back to sleep.

Finally, the Zercan turned onto his stomach and stretched out the entire length of the bed, but was careful not to knock off his slumbering mate. The boy just looked so adorable and at peace...When Bast flipped the right way and sat up, he couldn't resist as he bent down to run a slightly rough tongue against the boy's cheek in a small cat-kiss.

Happy with the little contact, a purr left him as he left the bed to go start breakfast. Vaguely he wondered if Cameron even liked fish because he himself normally had a plate of fish-cakes and milk.

Hm...Well, perhaps he should make some other stuff too. He contemplated the idea for a bit, tail swishing in a thoughtful circle before he nodded. Yeah; he was sure he had some cereal and eggs somewhere too.

[Cameron]

Cameron yelped as he woke up, almost freaking out. He had rolled over in his sleep, and he awoke when his head hit something hard; the floor, to be precise. And the last time he woke up because of rolling off the bed, well, was not quite so pleasant. He couldn't remember if he was having a dream or if his memory made that fall off of the bed so terrifying, but he didn't care at the moment. He had almost forgotten where he was, and he was surprised to see the Zercan gone. But he didn't know what he'd expect; of course the man had a life, even if it happened to be in the middle of the forest.

He contemplated crawling back in bed, but didn't quite feel like going back to sleep, in fear of falling off of the damn thing. So, he opted for sitting in the floor, thinking of what he should do. Ah, the lack of total brainpower that Cameron had was amusing, as he couldn't make up his mind to go and seek the Zercan out, or let Sebastian be rid of him for a few moments, y'know, give him some space. He shrugged, and flopped on the floor, looking up at the cieling. It was surely very interesting, yesterday. He yawned widely and stretched, wondering what he was in for today.

[Bast]

With a small swish of his tail, Bast finished up making breakfast and smiled. Now, he just wondered if Cameron was awake or would like the food at all. He shrugged and walked into his bedroom to see his mate...not on the bed.

Walking around to the other side, the black haired youth looked down at the Humanoid in confusion. "...Are you...alright?" he asked quietly, moving onto his knees to get level with the other boy. He crawled a bit forward until he could look into light brown eyes and raised an eyebrow. "It's not really comfy down here, you know...And I have breakfast ready."

[Cameron]

"Oh, uh," Cameron stuttered, blushing, "I knew that. I just kinda fell off. And didn't feel like going back to sleep. So, I gave you some space and stayed here." He had a proud little twinkle in his eye, that clearly stated 'You got OWNED by my logic'. And then it hit him. Breakfast. "Well," he said calmly, leaning upward, nearing the Zercan's mouth, "what are we waiting for then? Breakfast is my favorite time of day!" He gave Sebastian a paeck on the lips and started getting up. What a nice way to start the day - minus the falling off of the bed.

[Bast]

A small purr left Sebastian in a pleased way. His mate kissed him! Yes, it was a small kiss, but really it was the first time he hadn't initiated the action. He stood up and helped pull Cameron up before leading the other into the kitchen.

"I'm not sure what you wanted though," the ebony haired young man said as he moved around the table. He pushed forward some plates of food with clawed hands. "I have fish-cakes, cereal, eggs...And I didn't pour anything to drink yet because I have water, milk, and that tea from last night," he said, shrugging slightly.

[Cameron]

Cam's eyes lit up a bit, and he leaned over to sniff the food like a wary animal. He grinned childishly, standing up straight for a moment and then leaning back on his heels. "Can I have a little of everything?" he asked, the added as an afterthought, "With milk. Puh-leeeeease?" He made a face that screamed 'pity me!', as if he hadn't eaten in days. He snickered lazily, and added even more to his plead, "I'l be your loverrrr~"

[Bast]

Sebastian's eyes snapped from the food up to his mate's face quickly in a rather shaky movement. The pupils in his eyes narrowed just a bit more before he leaned over to take Cameron's head into his hands. He looked at the other for a few moments before pulling him into a deep kiss.

After a few minutes, he pulled back and pressed another small kiss to the Humanoid's cheek. "Mm...Of course you can. You can have anything I have to give you without asking...," the cat boy practically cooed as he nuzzled the side of Cameron's face. "Besides, I already planned to be your lover...And you, mine."

[Cameron]

If Cameron was reading a book, and it was goin like this so far, he thought it would be a good idea for the more submissive one to faint. And while this wasn't a book, and he didn't really want to faint, he did anyway. His eyes widened and his breath hitched before he slumped forward, toward Sebastian. Now, he had always liked those cheap romance-novel confessions of love, but that... well, it sounded like a confession of lust.

He didn't mind the kiss, really, it was more of the lover statement and fact that there was no warning before the kiss, though he could forgive that one. But wow, that little bit was supposed to be a joke, it wasn't supposed to make him, Cam, faint. Poor little Humanoid.

[Bast]

Bast stared at the body laying against his for only a minute or two before panic set in. A small frantic 'meow' left his lips before he picked up Cameron and quickly carried the boy into his room. Setting his mate on the bed, the Zercan scurried to find a washcloth or something to cool off the other. Never having fainted before, he was really unsure how to help someone who had or stuff like that.

As the cat boy found a cloth of sorts and began wetting it down in the bathroom, he bit his lip in thought. He wondered why Cameron had suddenly done that though...He had seemed fine before Sebastian's statement...Or could it possibly be because of what he'd said? What could have been so shocking about his words though?? Did the Humanoid not want to be his mate???

The ebony haired youth toyed with some loose strands on the washcloth before he wrung it out and carried it back into the bedroom. Moving towards Cameron, he place the towel on the other young man's head carefully. Then he sat on the edge of the bed to watch, in case his mate woke.

[Cameron]

Only a few minutes later, Cameron woke up. He didn't open his eyes, but he moved a hand to his chest, feeling a little woozy from the faint and the fact that his heart had sped up so much. He cracked open his eyes, and picked up the washcloth from his head as he sat up. The Humanoid turned to face Sebastian awkwardly, biting the inside of his lip. "Uh, you were kidding... about the whole lover thing... right?" In all honesty, he didn't know what he wanted the answer to be. He had conflicting emotions; one half of him wanted to be in one of those romance novels and take it like a true sub - have one of those talks where all the sudden he just broke down and said 'Take me!'. The other half just wanted to read said romance novel, not be in it. He was happy and angry, all at the same time, and he didn't quite know which emotion to throw. Needless to say, he was quite fed up with that.

He suddenly made up his mind on the whole 'am I in or am I out' thing, and leaned forward to grab Sebastian's arm, hugging it like a lifeline and resting his head on the Zercan's shoulder. "I want to go home," he whispered, his own heart almost breaking at the words. He hadn't meant for it to sound so ungrateful, but he had chosen to only read, not be read. And damn it, if this wasn't so confusing... He hugged Sebastian's arm to hims chest tightly, one finger on his left hand rubbing small patterns on his upper arm.
