These are the rules. Not too strict, but hey, work with us here.
1- No hetero-ness! No, we are not in anyway being discriminatory to straight people. To each their own, and for us, it's yaoi! So please, stick to the male/male theme.
2- Any 'Zercan' claiming leads to a baby/kitten! Unless your having sex with someone other than your mate - and it is done, but only before one's mate is found - then you had better be ready to take care of a nifty, cuddly little cub!
3- Mistress/manwhores must be given up at the time of mating-so speaks the Shodan! Having a mistress while mated is unlawful, not to mention impossible. All Zercan's are effected by their mate's emotions. As this would obviously hurt them, as well as the bond between the two mate's, it simply cannot be done.
4- Leaving your lifegiver-mate unattended for any amount of time is largely inadvisable. So you'd better have a DAMN good reason for it, if you do and be prepared to fend off challenges to your claim!
5- Claiming is a must, you must claim your mate. Sooner or later. To wait would be a risk as another male may find yours to his liking.
6- What the Shodan says, goes.
7- You might want to ask, as in send the person a personal message, and ask if your character and their's can be mates. It's more or less common courtesy and it saves awkward moments. 0.o
