Family background: A prince of a small, seaside kingdom, Jordan is the child of the Wizard king and the youngest child of the Merman king of the ocean near his home, a true mating of land and sea that promised to bring new prosperity to both kingdoms. However, his wicked uncle, a powerful dark magic user, was jealous that his brother's child had stolen from him all chances of taking the throne, so he cursed Jordan to stay in his merman form and never again return to land, then stole the boy's voice as well so that he could never tell of his uncle's treachery.
Appearance: Medium-length copper hair, with pale skin and gray-gold eyes. In merman form, his lower half is that of a shark rather than a regular fish, and he has brown-grey scales with dark bands across his tail and back.
Personality: Ever since his cursing and effective exile, he's been very shy and avoids people, though he has a good and somewhat innocent heart that makes him enjoy helping others. He is wise beyond his years, though the curse has caused him to become sad and withdrawn, even depressed, as he believes he will never see his family again... or find the mate that he fully believes waits for him somewhere on land, where he may never travel again.
Other points of interest: Giver; as mentioned above, he cannot speak. He won't gain his merman telepathy until he finds his mate.
