My Fair... Family? (Jiri and Gamma continued...)

Gamma frowned. "So what, now, you believe in your mom's ability to protect you? What if your mom was out of the room and Halen decided to hit you like you did Misha today. How would you feel?"

Van hadn't thought of that and began squirming. Halen was bigger than him afterall... "I dont want to talk about this stupid stuff anymore."

"No, we're going to talk about it and you're going to listen. What if, while you were playing at school, someone came up and decked you one, someone bigger or meaner or hates you because they feel like you're taking up their attention? You'd expect me or Mommy to come get you and punish the other boy, right? Well the same goes for Misha. He's YOUR little brother. And you are bigger than him. Is that fair?"

Van scowled. "This is stupid. No ones gonna hurt me and Misha should get out of my way!"

Gamma frowned. "Okay, if you keep acting this way, then someone is going to hurt you, and your mother and I are going to be so busy taking care of YOUR brothers that YOU hurt to help YOU. Now, does that seem good at all? I should never have to spank you, Van. But if you keep this up, it will happen much more often and I will be much stricter on you, do you understand? You WILL keep your hands off of your brothers. It's not an option and it's not up for discussion."

"Whatever you want, FATHER. Just leave me alone!" he said, covering his head with his pillow.

Gamma sighed. "You know I love you, Van. But you need to learn not to be selfish. Goodnight." he said, moving the pilllow and kissing the child's head before standing and heading downstairs to call Jiri and check on Misha.

Van threw the pillow at the door just because before settling back and thinking over what he had done wrong to deserve his father's scolding.

Jiri answered the phone with a smile for his mate. "We stopped to get Misha some ice cream. I'll bring some home for Van and give it to him if he can behave himself. Did you have a talk with him?"

"Yeah, I did." Gamma said, scrubbing his head. "He's pretty pissed at me, but he needs to learn how to behave."

"Agreed. We'll be there in a minute, Gamma." That said he hung up and came home a few minutes later. When Jiri came in, he greeted his mate with a kiss and went upstairs to Van. When Van didn't say anything Jiri did the only thing a mother could do - he held the mean ass kid down and kissed him all over his face.

Gamma shook his head and got his kids into their baths.

When the kid just hollered and screamed for his mom to stop being creepy, Jiri resorted to tickling before finally hefting the kid over his shoulder and taking him too to the bath taking over where Gamma usually was there. His new strategy was to do much of what he was used to Gamma doing to he would maybe learn to appreciate his mom.

"Daddy," Misha said quietly, "So we still get to go to grandma's this weekend even if Van is a bag boy?"

Gamma chuckled. "Yes, you still get to go to grandma's. I'd hate to hear Aida chew me out. But I don't think Van will be a bad boy anymore. He knows he'll get in trouble if he does."

"So I can play with him again?" the boy blinked innocently only to close his eyes accommodatingly as his daddy rinsed his hair.

"Yes. And your brother knows not to be mean to you. You tell me if he does, okay?" he said.
