Venice smiled. "I am shocked and totally excited Aeron. I might actually be able to fly again. I really really hope so."
Venice steppped carefully up on Aeron's hand and then sat down so the balance wouldn't be an issue when Aeron moved. He listened carefully as Aeron gave him the only real option for travel. He nodded, "Yeah, The pocket is perfect. It's nice and warm and I'll be okay. I just wish I could figure out why i can't tranform into my normal humanoid state. Maybe the doctor can solve that too, huh?"
Carefully, Venice pulled in all of his good wings and laid them as flat against his back as he could. The broken one still poked out in an awkward fold. He forwned, "I'm ready. Just be careful with that one."

Aeron hesitated “Let me know if you’re in pain and I’ll move you, ok.” The slightly worried tone in his voice surprised him. He pushed it to the back of his mind and carefully put the other in his pocket, making sure his wing wasn’t hurt.
Once Venice was settled he checked outside one more time before setting off. He stayed close to the river, knowing it would lead them to the camp. All the while he was cautious, constantly aware of their surroundings. There was no sign of the group from yesterday that had attacked them, they had made it further away from the dump site then he’d thought last night.
Aeron quickened his pace, wanting to get back to camp fast so the doctor could look at Venice’s wing before it healed broken. Once again Aeron’s thoughts surprised him. He tried to push it to the back of his mind like before but this time it wouldn’t stay there.

Venice was surprised at how gentle Aeron was with him. The huge male slipped him in the pocket very very gentle. It was almost like a mother tucking their beloved son into bed for the night. He actually snuggled down in the dark warmth and closed his eyes. For a while, he had forgotten that he had stayed up being a night watchman.
When he closed his eyes, he began to dream. He saw himself in Aeron's pocket softly humming. His wing totally healed. Softly, he was lifted out and set on Aeron's shoulder. He could see a pretty nice settlement made next to a natural spring of water. He stood up and pecked Aeron on his cheek commenting softly, "You are amazing. This is the best home ever."
He was actually humming as he slept in Aeron's pocket. His body so warm and comfortable.

Aeron wiped the sweat off his forehead and tried to ignore the sun beating down on the back of his head. He’d been walking for a few hours now but he didn’t want to stop and take a break. He didn’t want to risk missing his group or worse, get attack by rouge bandits.
They’d set up a camp a bit away from the dump site, but close enough so they could still see it. Aeron turned and looked behind him, he could still see the dump pile in the distance. That was a good sign, they hadn’t passed the camp. Aeron checked his pocket a few times to see if Venice was ok. He smiled to himself when he saw the other was asleep.
It was getting late now and Aeron was starting to worry. It was then he saw a small group of makeshift shelters in the distance. Aeron broke out into a run heading towards the camp. As he got closer he started to recognise the people. One in particular, Damon sat on the edge of the camp, watching for anything. He stood when he saw Aeron running towards them.
Damon grinned when he reached him. “You had me worried for a second.” He pulled Aeron into a hug which the other reluctantly returned.
Aeron pulled away first and moved past Damon into the camp. “Where’s Ellis?”
Damon frowned “In his tent? Why are you injured?”
Aeron shook his head, walking to Ellis’s tent. “It’s not me.” He didn’t say anymore and quickly entered the tent, knowing Damon was following him. He found Ellis looking in one of the bags, checking his supplies. He looked up when the two entered smiling at them.
“Aeron it’s good to see you’re safe.”
Aeron didn’t say anything and reached into his pocket, carefully taking Venice out. “Can you help him?”

Venice woke up after a while. The warmth of the pocket was comforting. But he was beginning to worry about Aeron. The large male hadn't stopped once to drink. He couldn't run in this heat for much longer without water. Just as he was planning to see if he could coax him to stop, he heard voices and then one real close in particular. He felt a shiver run through him until he heard it talking about being worried. Still he was on edge.
Then Venice got the squeeze and couldn't help but smile. It was definitely Aeron's brother. They must have made it to camp. He was excited and worried at the same time. He hoped they would accept him as a being and not as a fresh meal.
Suddenly he flet Aeron's hand reach in to fish him out. He climbed into the palm carefully and cling to Aeron's rough thumb and rode it up and out into the open. At first, the new light was bright and he had to sheild his face from it. But quickly he adjusted and sat down on Aeron's palm.
Venice looked about the tent skeptically worried. 3 large males all looked down upon him. He wanted to shiver and hide again. Instead, he stood up and ordered in a brave but shakey voice, "Which one of you is the Doctor?"

Damon and Ellis were both shocked when Aeron took a small Fae out of his pocket. Aeron was not the type to just help people. Damon tensed, his hand moving to the gun he always kept at his side. Aeron saw the movement and quickly grabbed the hand, glaring at the other. Damon frowned, confused as to why Aeron stopped him.
Ellis, unlike Damon saw no threat. He raised his hand at the others question, moving closer to get a better look at him. He hadn’t seen many Fae’s on this planet. There’d been a few before on his home planet but not many here.
“Is something wrong?”
Aeron glared at Damon one last time before looking back at Ellis. “It’s his wing. It’s broken and I thought you could take a look at it.”
Ellis reached out to take Venice but Aeron pulled away, suddenly feeling protective of the other. The way Damon had reacted had put him on edge. Ellis saw this and instead moved over to a small desk.
“Can you set him down so I can look at him?”
Aeron hesitated slightly but after seeing the strange look Damon was giving him he moved over to the desk lowering his hand for Venice to climb off.

***I replied to this...it didn't post... >.< sorry***
Venice lost all bravery when he saw one of the males, the one he thought was Aeron's brother, reach for a pocket. He clung to Aeron's thumb with a fearful squeak. His eyes grew misty and all he could hope for was a quick and painless death.
Then he heard, "Its his wing. It's broken..."
In all the commotion and panic, he forgot that there was a doctor there. He tilted his head up in time to see the man reach to take him. He wasn't sure why, but he growled at the doctor fearfully just as Aeron pulled back. He didn't wanna be grabbed or handled by anyone other than Aeron. So they were in like mind until...
Aeron gently laid the back of his hand on the table in front of the doctor. Venice knew what that meant. It was time to get off. But...but...but...
"You're not leaving Aeron?" He asked in a soft voice he hoped sounded brave again. "I can't protect you if you leave." He asked while still hugging Aeron's thumb.
Venice was brave but with shootey over there and grabbey right here. He didn't want to chance even a second away from Aeron.

(That's ok ^^)
Aeron looked down at Venice, surprised by what Venice had said. He paused a while before speaking “I’ll stay.” He knew Damon would want to talk to him but that would have to wait. He could tell Venice was nervous about being left alone with Ellis, especially after how Damon reacted.
He looked over at Ellis, waiting to see if he would let him stay. The other nodded “I don’t mind, it might help him relax.” Aeron pulled his hand away from the table.
“Can you look at him on my hand or does he have to be set down?” He knew Ellis wouldn’t hurt Venice or anything, it was just that…Aeron wanted to keep him close for some reason.
“Whatever he’s comfortable with is fine.”
Aeron looked at Venice waiting to see what the other wanted. While he waited he heard Damon turn to leave. Before he left he looked back at Aeron. “I need to speak with you when you’re done here.”

Venice felt the angst in the air. Yeah, this was going to be a tough day. He looked up at the doctor and slowly let go of Aeron's thumb. "I'd be more comfortable if I stayed with Aeron. I promised to protect him." He smiled softly. He was feeling a little braver now that Aeron's brother had walked out.
When the doctor came up close, he used Aeron's thumb for balance and stood up. "Doc, it seems my wing is broken." He stretched out his good wings. The broken one laid limp at his side. "Please tell me that you can fix it. I need this wing to help fight. Ohhhhh and can you tell me why I can't transform back to my normal self too? "

Ellis smiled at Venice trying to ease the others worries. “You can stay with Aeron and don’t worry you’re safe here.” He watched the other stretch out his wings and listened to what he was saying. “I’ll take a look at your wing first then see what I can do about your changing problem.” Ellis looked at the bent wing and knew what he’d have to do. “I’m going to have to get it back in place, it will hurt but it’s the only way for it to heal right. After that I can bandage it so it stays in place as it heals.”
Aeron was silent as he let the doctor work. He watched the doctor gather the supplies he would need and placed them down on the table before moving over to Venice. “I’m going to get your wing back in place, this is going to hurt. Are you ready?”

Venice bit his lower lip and hugged Aeron's thumb. He did this for 2 reasons.
1- to be sure his wings were facing outward for the doctor to work. 2- for support and comfort from Aeron.
Venice did his best to hug the whole thumb and then asked Aeron. "You won't think less of me if I scream or cry will you?"

Aeron shook his head “This won’t change anything.” Aeron could remember the first time Ellis had to help put his shoulder back in place. It hurt so much but this was probably worse for Venice as his wing was actually broken. “Squeeze my thumb when it hurts.” He didn’t know how much help it’d be but it was all he could do.
Aeron looked at Ellis and nodded letting the other know they were ready and Ellis carefully took hold of Venice wing. Quickly and smoothly Ellis straightened the wing, moving it into place. As soon as he’d done that he quickly went to work bandaging it in place so it could heal properly.

Venice had been pretty lucky until now. His broken wing hadn't hurt one bit. Actually. it had no feeling at all. He was beginning to think this pain thing was for real sissies. That was until...
Venice buried his face into Aeron's thumb and screamed into the meaty knuckle. It was like someone was nawing on the bone itself. His eyes filled with tears instantly and it was all he could do to stand still. In a pained and shakey whisper, he begged, "Please hurry....pleeease..."
Venice couldn't focus on anything as the doctor did his duty. His mind was still screaming in pain and all he could do was hold on. But before he knew it, th excrusiating slow, painful act stopped. The doctor stopped working.
Venice still clung to Aeron with every last ounce of strength he had. "Please Man...Tell me that you are done?"

When Venice screamed into his thumb, Aeron felt his chest twist in pain. There was nothing he could do but wait until Ellis had finished. He was silent as Ellis bandaged the wing in place.
Ellis pulled away reviewing his work “That should be it for your wing. It will take a while to heal but once it had you will be able to use it again.” Aeron nodded his thanks and looked down at Venice. He caught one of the tears that had escaped and gently brushed it away.
“It’s done. You’ll be fine now. I’m going to have to go speak with Damon, are you alright staying with Ellis for while or do you want me to stay?” As Aeron spoke to Venice, Ellis watched on surprised by the gentleness his usually cold friend was showing the stranger.

Venice was still dizzy in pain. But he knew Aeron's brother had to be mad. Slowly, he nodded, "Tend to your brother. Maybe the doc can find some painkillers while you're gone."
Before either one could play the you-go-first-no-you-go-first game, Venice climbed off of Aeron's hand. He didn't say a word or even look up.
Silently, he sat down on the cold wooden table and begged, "Please Doc, I beg of you...something? Please...something..."
