Jace focused on his task until Shiro returned with a glass of water for him. He stood and moved over to them man, taking the glass from him with a smile "Thanks." Jace decided to leave the room for bit, understanding Shiro's worry about the books. He took a sip from the drink, enjoying the cool feeling, and he looked at back at Shiro to see the man shivering slightly.
Jace frowned "Are you sure youre ok?" The house felt cooler now which probably meant the fire had gone out. He took another sip before placing the drink down on the floor outside the room. He entered again and went back to the pile he was sorting. "You can start the fire again if you're feeling cold. I don't mind the heat."

Shiro just shook his head, and kept working, "I'll be fine, it's best for me to wait, I'm getting low on wood as it is, I need to preserve it as much as I can," he told him, sliding another book onto the shelf. Shiro's pace had gotten much, much slower since the fire had gone out in his home. "It's best if you don't die from heatstroke, I can handle being cold," he told the boy, in a low mumble.
It was easy to see that the cold had tired Shiro out, Shiro sighed, and tucked some hair out of his face before moving to his eat in the window that was now blocked out with his thick velvet curtains. "Perhaps I shall rest a while, I had a busy day," me managed to get out, curling up in his chair, "If that's alright with you."

Jace finished sorting out the pile and looked over at the man “And I can handle a little heat.” He’d noticed how the man had slowed down in his work and seemed more tired than before. He watched, with concern, as Shiro moved to the window. “It’s your house Shiro, you don’t need to ask me if it’s ok for you to take a break.”
Jace moved over to him and knelt down in front of him, “You sure you’re ok?” Shiro didn’t look well and it as starting to worry Jace, even if he had only just met the man. “Maybe you should get some rest, I’ll keeping working in here if you want me to.” He knew he had some unpacking still left to do but he wanted to make sure Shiro was alright.

Shiro looked down at his new neighbor and shot him a glare, invading his personal space by being so close, "I'll be fine," he said authoritatively, "I don't know about you, but I like to be awake when there's a complete stranger in my home," he growled gripping his seat arms tightly, the wood creaking lightly. Suddenly a wave of nausea washed over him, and the older male covered his nose and mouth with his hand, leaning forward and hanging his head.
Shiro refused to admit that he was feeling I'll and sat back up in his chair, "get back to work then, since you want to help me so much," he told the boy, groaning as another wave washed over him again. He couldn't understand why he was feeling so ill all of a sudden, he hadn't been in contact with any kind of humans or animals for quite some time, and he always kept his house tidy. That's when he realized, he was malnourished, all he did was work, day in and day out, and ever since he came to earth he only maybe drained one, possibly two humans.

Ignoring what Shiro said about getting back to work, Jace placed his hands on Shiros’s arms to help balance the man. Something was definitely wrong with him “Shiro I really think you should get some rest. I’ll go if you’d feel more comfortable. Just let me help you get to bed and then I’ll go.” Jace moved closer to him to try and help him out of the chair.
Jace frowned when Shiro groaned again. He slowly helped Shiro out of the chair and made sure he was steady “Do you think you can make it to your room?” He was starting to worry that the man would collapse on the way to his bed. Jace knew he was probably starting to annoy Shiro but he wasn’t going to just leave when the man seemed really ill.

Shiro grunted as he was more pulled out of his chair than helped. Shiro glared at the boy, "I'm fine, guh, I don't need your help," he growled pulling away from the boy, only to topple forward and slam his side into the wall, gripping the wall for support he panted. He was beginning to see red, and he couldn't keep himself from eying Jace the only human in sight.
Shiro felt his body being pulled away from the wall and guided to his room across the hall. Shiro shook his head, knowing if he lost control he could get in serious trouble. Shiro stumbled to the bed and fell to his knees at the be bedside, holding his head groaning. He knew he was going to be in trouble. "There I'm in my room, now leave," he ordered, this time much weaker.

Jace rushed to Shiro’s side as the man hit the wall. “Be careful!” He wrapped an arm round the man and gently guided him out of the study and down the hall to what Jace guessed was his bedroom. He felt Shiro pull out of is hold and fall is knees by the bed, groaning. Jace was quickly by his side.
“Are you sure you want me to leave? I’m really starting to worry.” Jace moved closer to him and tried to help him stand “Try to get on the bed at least.” He helped Shiro up and sat him on the bed before standing in front of him “Are you sure you’re going to be ok by yourself?” concern clear in his voice.

Shiro hissed inwardly as he was lifted upwards onto the bed, he could feel it building, he was going to snap soon, he needed to feed, but this boy had to leave, sure no one would know that it was him, but they did know that he had just moved in, and it was just a simple matter of time before they began pointing fingers. Shiro was breathing heavier now, his skin looking a bit paler, and his eyes much duller, even a tinge of red to them.
"I can take care of myself," he growled, "I just need to be alone," he said holding over, feeling his body topple over, his head landed on the bad, as single strand of white hair fell out of, place, and Shiro's eye-patch still laid on the vanity on the other side of the room. Trying to shoo the boy off Shiro struggled to stay awake longer, the lack of sustenance pulling him to a rest, until he was strong enough to hunt.

Once Shiro was sat on the bed Jace let go of him and moved away slightly “I really don’t want to leave until I know you’re going to be alright.” Just after he’d finished speaking Shiro collapsed onto his side “Shiro!” Jace rushed forward again to check if he was alright. He placed a hand on Shiro’s forehead. It was still unbelievably cold.
“Is there anything you need? A drink? Painkillers?” Jace really didn’t know what he was meant to do. He reached out and moved Shiro’s hair from his face, noticing the single strand of white hair. He pushed it to the back of his thoughts and focused back on Shiro who was trying to shoo him away “I’ll go soon, I just want to make sure you’re ok when I leave.”

[omg I'm sorry about how bad my grammar has been lately, I'm been busy and stressed so I never to the time]
Shiro felt Jace's hand on his forehead, opening his eyes slowly he looked up at the boy, his eyes slightly glazed over. Shiro felt the hand begin to pull away when he snatched it and held it there. For a second he said nothing, before he began to pull the hand closer to his face. "I need you to get out of here Jace, and don't come back for a while," His voice just above a low whisper. "I'll be fine, I promise," he told him, his mouth twitching wanting to bite it and sink his fangs into the flesh so bad, he didn't realize how hard he was holding the boy's hand.
He looked back up at the boy, and let go, slowly retreating to a rest on the bed, his eyes fluttering. "Goodbye Mr. Vicks," he whispered, before his body curled up into a ball, and his eyes closed for the last time, his ears being filled with the sound of the boy's beating heart, then the neighbors, and the dogs, but the boy's seemed to beat louder than the others, and they all slowly lulled Shiro to a deep sleep.

(It's fine, I didn't really notice)
Jace jumped slightly when Shiro’s hand shot out to grab his and kept it in place. Neither of the two said anything until Shiro pull Jace a bit closer. Jace had to strain his ears to try and hear what Shiro had whispered. Shiro’s voice sounded serious and his grip on Jace’s wrist tightened to a nearly painful level. Jace didn’t say anything and waited until Shiro fell asleep before pulling his hand from Shiro’s grip. He rubbed his wrist and looked down at the angry red mark that was now there. He watched Shiro for a while before deciding he should do as he asked and left the room.
When he was home, Jace quickly headed upstairs to his room and sat by the window looking at Shiro’s house. He could feel his concern growing but shook his head and looked away. Today’s events replayed in his head and despite all that had happened, he couldn't help but smile to himself. Shiro called him Jace, guess he was growing on him.

[ That Night 10:00 PM ]
The sun had set and people all turned in for the night till the next morning. The old two story house now covered in a blanket of pure darkness. Shiro laid almost deadly still for the longest time until he suddenly shot up, gripping his left eye in pain a stumbling to the vanity, his side slamming into the wall. He hissed as he forced his eye to open, so he could take out his glass one. The inside of his eyelid was a sickening red, and the socket was sore. Shiro looked up at himself in the mirror, a giant red iris glaring right back at him, glowing in the darkness. Shiro grapped his wig and tore it off his wig, revealing his long silver hair. The locks having lost their beauty, now dull and split.
His skin had become almost a pure white now, and his fangs stood prominently, even if he closed his mouth you would see at least half of their length. Shiro looked a mess, normally he took such good care of himself, but when malnourished, it all goes to waste. Shiro clawed at his stomach, wheezing heavily. "I must feed," he groaned, sloppily tying his hair up and replacing his eye patch he made a break for the window.
He tore open the curtains, and escaped his home before climbing to the roof. Shiro stood tall on the roof top, his red eye scanning the area, he heard a shift from the house next door, and turned, only catching a small glimpse of a face and and the closing of curtains. Shiro would have gone to confront the being, but he decided against it and took off to a nearby house, to what no one would never know.
[ Next Morning 7:45 AM ]
"Early this morning the bodies of three local citizens were found brutally murdered, strange bite marks on their necks, and drained dry. There is no possible way to identify the victims, all we know is that there were two men and a small child. Both men were in their late twenties, one with long brown hair, and the other with short blond hair, the child red, in all three cases their eyes were taken out. We'll do our very best to keep you up to date as the case developed," that was what the newscaster said that very morning, and almost every person had been watching.

10:00PM
Jace sat at his old desk in his room, the only light from the computer screen in front of him. He leaned back in his chair, rubbing his tired eyes; he’d been sat here for a while now trying to think of a story or a vaguely interesting plot but all he had was something you could find anywhere. He rested his head in his hands and sighed, deciding to give up for the night. He deleted what he had and switched off his computer, stretching out the cricks in his back before taking his top off and changing into some pyjama bottoms.
He looked in the mirror and ran his hand through his already messy hair when a crash from outside caught his attention. He tensed. A burglar, a murderer. He shook his head, this was stupid, it was probably just an animal. Despite telling himself this, he still moved over to the window to check. He pulled back the curtain and looked over at Shiro’s house. His eyes widened as he watched a shadowed figure climb onto the roof. He froze, standing by the window staring at the figure, trying to make out his features. He could tell it was a man by his build.
Jace quickly closed the curtains when he saw the man turned in his direction. He held his breath as he waited to see if the man would do anything. A few minutes passed before Jace risked another look out the window. He pulled back the curtains to see that the figure had gone. He frowned, he was sure someone had been there but there was no way someone could have got don that quickly without making a sound. Jace closed the curtains for a final time before he went to bed.
7:40AM
Jace was in the kitchen with the T.V. on in the other room listening to the news. He yawned and poured milk into a bowl of cereal. He move into the living room and sat on the floor in front of the Telly. His wasn’t paying attention until a certain piece socked him.
Jace’s blood ran cold as his thoughts drifted to the man from last night. It couldn’t have been him, right?

The roar and crackle of the fire never came that morning, the house warm with the heat outside. Shiro sat in his study, all of his books shelved and organized. His silver hair shining even in the darkness draped over his shoulder, and his olden eye glided over the pages. It was visible at he was feeling better, better than yesterday, much better. His fingers gently glided through his hair as he closed this book and sat it on the side table, along with two empty wine bottles.
He sighed and stood up walking to his vanity in his room, and once again replaced his wig, and his glass eye. His brown curly hair dirt in comparison with his actual hair. Even his glass eye looked dull next to his real one. He turned back at his bedside table the picture of a man still stood up. He slowly walked towards it and picked it up, his fingers gingerly gliding across the glass. "I did it again Abel, I guess it's unavoidable... I, what am I doing? Sometimes I wish I could get rid of this picture," he murmured, setting the picture down once more, hiding his face. It broke his heart to look at it.

Jace sat in front of the T.V., shocked and scared by the news. If that man was the murderer and he’d seen Jace… Jace swallowed the lump in his throat not wanting to think about it. The murders had been close to his area, all locals. He sat in silence as they replayed the story, this time paying full attention. The newscaster described the victims, one of them catching Jace’s attention. Male, late twenties, long brown hair. A picture of Shiro came to his mind and Jace shook is head. No way. It couldn’t be Shiro, the man was at home when Jace left him. But…that figure had been at Shiro’s house.
Jace rushed upstairs, took a short shower and quickly changed into a pair of old faded jeans and a plain top. He left his hair damp and practically ran to Shiro’s house next door. He stopped on Shiro’s doorstep his hand raised to knock. He hesitated, what was he going to do if it was Shiro? Why did the thought that it could be bother him so much? He took a deep breath before knocking and waited for an answer.
