It was a bright, sunny day as Mason walked towards the downtown thrift store. Whistling a random tune, his ears picked up the sound of his keychain falling off his bag again. Sighing, he turned around to pick it up. He stood and turned as he struggled to get it hooked onto the strap once more only to bump into a stranger.
"Watch where you're going!" the bearer huffed and walked around him. "Damn tourists...!"

Henri turned ready to snap at the boy but didn't. He found him cute and couldn't help the smirk that appeared now. "Hello beauty what is your name? And you bumped into me...so you should come on a date with me to make it up..."

Raising his eyebrows, Mason replied easily, "Well... According to the intensity of the sun's brightness, the direction of the rays coming down from the sky, and how your face looks in it, I'll have to say.... No. Go fuck yourself."
He entered the shop he had been aiming for and moved straight to the back to look through the used books section.

Henri frowned, no one ever said no to him, and no one ever used that language with him either. He followed the boy a bit entranced now. He kept quiet as he watched him, not caring that he was stalking the other.

Mason pulled a few books and flipped through them to check for cleanliness. Happy with them, he kept them and moved to the clothes section to look through the jackets.

Henri watched him a bit longer before going up to the cashier and laying down some bills. "This is for him..." he told him pointing. "And a bit extra for you if you tell me his name."

The cashier giggled slightly, "He won't accept that, but I can tell you his name. Hey! Mason!!!"
The bearer looked up, "What?!"
"Your shit is for free!"
Mason gave a look, "Uhh... I work fr a reason ya know! Not just to fucking get shit for free!"

Henri walked to him curious, "I would like to treat you...its not like I need all my money..."

"It's not like I need your money either." Mason shot back. "I do get paid, and I do take pride in getting paid for my work. Not for attracting some giver's eye."
He walked to the counter with the couple of books he has. Paying with his own money, he walked out of the store. Something about rich givers just bothered him.

Henri followed quickly, not letting him go just yet. "Where do you work?" he asked now.

Mason flushed, not really wanting to discuss his ways of working. "N-none of your business..."

Henri smiled and moved closer, "Might as well tell me...I have enough money to get it out of people...Where do you work?"

Mason huffed, "Might as well use your damn money. Not everyone in this town knows what I do or who I am. Even fewer know both. You just got lucky the first time. Now fuck off before I get my boyfriend on your ass or something."

Henri watched him worried, "Do you really have a boyfriend? And I can ask that boy from the shop who would know about you..."

"Well... He's more like a fuck buddy." I muttered to myself before just looking at him weirdly, "Why are you asking me that?"
