Duke started to purr loudly. He front legs kicked out happily, matching his swishing tail. The belly scratches slowly woke him up and he rolled to his side again, getting to his feet so he could give a nice, big stretch. It was only when he realized that Gleo was right beside him that he went still.

Gleo stared at the now awake cat for a few seconds before a bright smile full of happiness crossed his face. "Kitty!" he exclaimed, arm wide opened before he glomped the cat completely ignorning Klaude yelling at him to be careful of a possibly dangerous creature.

Duke, needlessly to say, was stunned by Gleo's quick acceptance. He quickly grew pleased though and purred loudly for the male. He licked Gleo's face and fuzzed the boy's hair with his tongue. This wasn't so bad. He was glad that Gleo wasn't afraid of him!

Gleo giggled and rubbed his face against the soft fur of the cat. "I don't know what you're doing here, Kitty. You didn't happen to eat Duke, did you, or was that a dream?" Gleo paused for a second thinking

"I didn't eat Duke. I'm him," Duke replied, his rumbly voice drifting through Gleo's mind. "I just happen to look a bit different," he added, licking Gleo's cheek again with a scratchy tongue.

For a second, Gleo thought he'd gained another voice, Klaude did too, but then he realized that it was coming from the kitty. "You can talk, kitty?"

"Yes, of course," Duke replied with a purr, nuzzling against Gleo. "Do you like me like this?"

"I like kitties," Gleo replied not understanding the question. Klaude was intently analyzing the cat. He was lost as well, but he was a little ahead of Gleo in figuring out who this cat was, they seemed familiar.

"That's okay then," Duke replied, giving a cat-like laugh. He stood, giving another big stretch. "I'm going to find something to eat, will you be here when I get back, kit?"

GLeo stared after Duke for a second before choosing to ignore the fact the other had just changed back into human and jumped up to lead the way to the kitchen while Klaude stayed annoyed. "This way, this way. food is this way!"

Duke grinned, surprised that Gleo wasn't panicking about the whole shifting business. "Great. Maybe we can go out to eat later as well."

Gleo nodded to that, blushing a bit. he wondered if that was meant as a date or in general. "We don't have too much food. I'm not suppose to go shifting through the firdge, only the girls can."

"No?" Duke asked, pointedly opening the fridge with a cheeky grin at Gleo. "Well, they're not here now. And we can go grocery shopping to restock after we're done. Kay?" Already the Zercan was pulling out stuff, intent on making a good meal for Gleo.
