I watched as Bakeru left, still shocked. I knew now was not the time to cry, I had to find some way to help. Racing to the phone, I did the only thing I could think of, call 911.
"911. What is your emergency?" A woman answered answered.
"My son has been kidnapped! H-he was in his room, and I heard a scream! When m-my mate and I got in, the window was broken and Xanto was gone!
"I'll send some officers to your house, to get a description of your son, and start an investigation."
"T-thank you..."

The smell of fear is well mixed in with Xanto's scent. Along with something flowery. Almost masking my kit's scent, but then my ears pick of the sounds of struggles, Xanto!

Rushing forwards and around a bend I get to the site of a just starting to take off ship, NO! Leaping forward i grab onto the very small flight machine's left wing. Just insde the cockpit I can see Xanto, his eyes shinning with fear.

The police arrived, and I gave them the info they asked for, including a picture of Xan. They promised to find him, and I hoped they would.

My claws lost purchase as the small craft lifted off the ground and I fell towards the earth with a cursing snarl. As I get back to my paws they're into the sky, "...xanto..."

Quickly I return to Alex, though I'm sure he already knows what happened, but still... I need to tell him that I failed him and I failed Xanto.

I heard my mate enter, and ran to hug him.

I nodded mutely before shaking my head and morphing into my human form, "You're right... We will." The last part a snarl.

I sighed shakily, and nodded. "I've already informed the police, but we need to go after Xan ourselves. Did you see who they were?"
