Fly Me Away... ((Von and Aubry))

Aubry stared after him. Was it sad that Von was new to the public and was more at ease in it then he was?

Not really... Especially seeing how as a bird Von was an attention whore, and most definitely still is. He'll do anything as long as someone is watching him, going to "scratch his head", or give him food that isn't red/dark pink. He loves people and people usually (when they don't live with him) love him back. Which is why when he bumps into people he always giggles shyly and then excuses himself while apologizing. He knows the basics of human interaction due to watching them from his display at the pet shop.

He's not un-taught, just never actually got to do it before, this excites him very much, making him hyper. And also shows the reason why he easily zips through the store, then back to Aubry, a bright smile on his face. Over the pasted years some people had adopted him from the store during the times it was closing for a long period of time, why he and his mother know how to somewhat cook and what to use when eating (plates, forks, spoons, ect...).

Von cocks his head to the side, smile fading, "...Aubry?"

Aubry tried for a smile but probably failed. "Yeah?"

"Crowd is bothering you?"

"A little bit," he admitted. "But... well, I don't know what to make of you chatting with everyone. You are my mate but you are as of yet unclaimed."

Von sighs and just shakes his head, "Why does that worry you?"

"Because many may try to claim me to take you from me. The second we met and our bodies and soulds recognized one another yous tarted giving off hormones of a sort. They attract men like mad," he explained.

Von blinks blankly... "Aubry... What are recognized, hormones, and attract?"

"To sum it up, sweetling, it means that if another giver decides he likes you before we mate, I'll have to fight him or he'll take you... uh, to bed," he said.

Von blinks before, "He would have to do a lot more than than... Attack... Me... I won't let... I'm not..." In the end Von just ends up glaring at his feet. "Stupid, stupid, stupid Von."

Aubry pulled his close, "You're not stupid, darling. You're giving in to your curious nature and that is fine. When we eventually mate there will be no danger there. Just relax, I can handle anyone who may come along. I'm stronger than I look."

Von frowns and shakes his head, "I'm not worried... I am ignorant."

"You are not ignorant. You're unprepared there is a difference," Aubry told him firmly. "Stop degrading yourself."

Von just sighs and hugs Aubry, "Okay pretty birdy."

Aubry held the smaller man. "Let's buy your clothing now and head home. We'll come for more tomorrow."
