Kia was overjoyed to see his mate didn't seem to find anything wrong with the food he made. He thought he did a fine job of it, but he wasn't sure if that really helped tide him over. "Thank you," he referred to the fact the other would take the dishes. He had finished, just a little after his mate. Having quite a few cravings he ate quite a bit, but not all of it.
"I have a garbage disposal, so you can put the leftovers down there." He wondered if he had to show him how one worked. "Um...are you full now, or do you still need some other...nourishment?"

Mesmu had been scraping food into the disposal and had the water running with it on, but he heard what Kia said. And when he's done he runs his tongue over his fangs, they don't wanna come out right now, he's fine.
So when he returns to Kia smiling he says simply, "I eat very little remember? This should tide me over a couple days even."

Kia stood now, relieved to hear what his mate said, he would hope that was enough. Now seemed like a good time to ask that one question he had, even if he would last for a couple of days. "Do you have to drink fresh blood, or can it be sort of...not fresh?" He wasn't sure how to word it. "Does it have to belong to a human kind of person, or does an animal due?" He couldn't get him human blood, but maybe animal blood from the meat market.

"Then I'll get some for you later, and we can see how it works." Kia supposed he could try to get something live, but where could he do that. "I think I'll go take a shower now, would you like to join me.," He was thinking to head out, but not just yet. He didn't dare go out feeling the way he was, a bit sweaty, and not so fresh.

"You sure?" Kia had been hopeful of sharing a bath, but he couldn't make him if he didn't want to. "I'll guess I'll see you when I get out," he spoke with a faint smile, turning and heading to the bathroom in his bedroom.

And once Kai is out of the room Mesmu frowns to himself, "Okay... So... I'll be fine until about three... I'll need to hunt before the end of the week for sure though." He sighs to himself, glad Kia can't hear him thinking aloud.

Kia took a minute or two to step into the shower, had to let it warm up a bit then he stepped under the shower spray. Lately, he didn't have so much of a problem looking at his overall appearance, not when he knew he would have Mesmu to help take care of him and his child. He was able to have a nice shower with that in mind, perhaps next time he could soak in the bath for a bit, sounded like a plan

Mesmu had cleaned up the dishes while Kia was in his bathroom, dressed, laid out clothes for his mate. Anything to keep his mind off of a fact that just entered his mind...
...He had lied to Kia...

Eventually Kia had to step out of the bath, grabbing his towel and wrapping it about his somewhat large frame. Well, he was as lithe as ever, it was his stomach that made the towel bulge out a bit. He made a mental note to get a big one, he always loved it when the towel hugged his entire frame, it just wasn't doing that anymore.
He just lingered in the bathroom for a few minutes before walking out into his bedroom, where he chose some clothes to wear. Blue underwear, some black shorts for the moment, and then a simply white shirt, but one large enough to compensate the extra room needed. These clothes were meant to relax in the house, he had an idea for today now, not wasn't sure about it yet.
"Mesmu," he called out from the bedroom, wondering what his mate was up to now.

Mesmu had found himself reading. It was an interesting magazine and an easy way to take his mind off of things. So he is seated on the couch.
When he hears Kia's call he closes the said reading materail and comes quickly to his mate's side, "Yes Kia?"

Kia smiled at the sight of his mate, he was still here. "Were you bored at all while I was in the bathroom?" He didn't really have much to say, he just wanted to converse, glad he didn't walk out on him. Even though it seemed Mesmu loved him unconditionally, he still felt those creeping doubts.

Mesmu nods, "Yes... But I found chores that needed to be done." He smiles and collects Kia in his arms. "You are worried, I can taste it."

Kia frowned a bit at the last part mentioned, he didn't really care to explain himself. "I am...a little," he admitted, looking up at his mate. "But...I'd rather not talk about it, not right now." Maybe he should. but he felt embarrassed at the idea of mentioning it, he didn't want Mesmu to think badly of him.
