Wyh had to stop himself from baring his teeth at Jay. Instead, he murmured gently to Kai. "Hey."

Kai blinked, eyes unfocused as he tried to look around the room. Everything slowly became clear, but he wished that it hadn't as he caught sight of the one man he'd rather not have seen for a long time yet.

His father was here.

Wyn just gave Kai's hand a comforting squeeze. I felt a bit useless here but what else could he do?

"Hey, Kai, how you feelin'?" Jay asked awkwardly, looking at his prone son.

"Marvelous." Kai rasped out, a scoff in his voice. He'd just been in a car accident, how did Jay think he felt.


"I wanna see Dezzy, see if she remembers me." Kai said before the male could speak again. Jay sighed and called the little girl over, telling her to go see her brother. The child shook her head, looking at the form on the bed in fear.

"I don't wanna!" she cried, backing away.

"Aw, why not sweet pea?" Wyn asked with a smile. "You could show Kai your dolly. I bet he'd like that." He tried to coax the little girl.

"Go head and go talk to your big brother, Rae." Jay ordered, and the little girl fearfully stepped forwards.

[clementine]

Wyn scooted back, allowing the little girl room to go to her brother.

Kairos sat the little girl on his and began to talk to her in soft tones, and she finally relaxed.

Wyn smiled slightly, thinking how great a mother Kai would make. The thought had him holding back a sigh though. Kai would probably never want him. Not in that way at least.

Kai talked to his little sister until he grew tired again, she grinned at him as she hopped down. Kai took a deep breath and sighed. Medication sucked.

Mama J and Jay watched him with a small smile.

Wyn leaned over and tucked the covers in around Kai, helping to get him more comfortable. He could have kissed his human if the others hadn't been around.

Jay watched Wyn with a wariness. "Just what is your relation to my son?" he asked the male.

Wyn glanced at Jay coolly, trying not to glare too much. "I'm just a friend." He stated boldly.

"You don't act like it." Jay said, looking at the boy.

[clementine]

"And you don't act like a father. I guess humans can be deceiving." He snapped, wanting Jay to just stop asking questions.
