Jax soon slipped into the house, when he saw Glwys he decided to do something drastic. He wrote him a note saying sorry but he didn't think it would work out. Then he ran, knowing Glwys would probably be able to find him if he looked hard enough.

A while later, Glwys woke up. For the first fifteen minutes, he groggily walked about, going to get a drink, going to the bathroom, thinking Jax was just outside, not even realizing he'd been asleep that long as he still had a headache. When he came back to the room he saw the note and his heart stopped. He didn't want to pick it up, he didn't want to read it, but he did.

The paper slipped from his fingers after the last letter he read and Glwys slipped to the floor. He stared wide eyed at the shaggy beige carpet, totally limp. No, he didn't go after Jax, how could he force him to come back. If he was happier without him, why go. Glwys felt his chest constrict and grabbed at it as tears fell from his eyes. He'd been rejected.

Jax knew when Glwys read the letter, he could feel it. He had to sit down from the pain racing through his body, but that shock made him feel something. He halted head in hand as a sharp pain went through his head, he was remembering every moment.

Eventually Glwys had curled up into a ball on the floor. Almost ten years and he after succeeding once he was rejected. Wasn't he just a pitiful creature.
