Grubber tried to remain a grumbling grump like he always was but even he couldn't hold out against that sweet faced kit as his big eyes blinked and little paws kicked. Taking the baby gently into his arms, he said gruffly, "I suppose you'll do, boy."

Amer smiled, just a bit, before biting his lips. Fains parents--well, his father--was intimidating...he'd never been around any before.

Grubber rocked the kittle kit in his arms and kissed him on his head.

Sivi leaned down and whispered in Amer's ear, "Don't let him bother you, sweetie. He's all bark and no bite, just like his kit." He eyed Fain then and smiled.

Mera purred and batted at his grandfather's head. Amer smiled a bit and looked at Sivi. "I'm sorry we weren't really able to make it to Zerca sooner..." he said to the male.

"It's fine, this is one of the few chances we get to travel. We've been rather homebodies since settling just outside of Scrijx City," Sivi said. "How about your family? You have a big family do you not?"

"Not really. Just three brothers and an uncle and their mates. I've got a nephew and a little cousin. That's just about it." Amer replied.

"Well you have us now," Grubber grumbled, letting the kits bat at his nose. "And you aint getting rid of us so keep that in mind, kid."

Fain smiled at his Giver's rough voice. "I guess that means he likes you... Or Mera." He chuckled.

Amer smiled. "That's nice to know, you're kind of stuck with me too," he smiled

"I'm not stuck anywhere," Amer said with a snort. "I'm right where I want to be. Which is right by your side."

Amer smiled, kissing his mate breifly before watching his father-in--law with his kit. He sighed, closing his eyes as he leaned against his mate, happier now than he'd ever been.
