Alex looked at the menu, before ordering a well-done steak with potatoes and vegetables.

Blaize smiled then ordered fish, his favorite.

As the waiter hurried off, Alex fed Angel her bottle and talking with Blaize a bit, smiling.

Blaize smiled, "She is so cute," he murmured.

Alex smiled as Angel looked over to Blaize and giggled, milk dribbling from her lips, which was readily mopped up by her bib.

"She is. But...the time will come when she will begin to ask about her mother. I won't know what to tell her." he said, eyes a bit sad.

Blaize looked to him curious then reached for his hand. "Think about it now, that way you are prepared."

"I don't think you could ever be ready for something like that, but I think I'll survive." Alex said, shaking his head.

Blaize nodded and rubbed his hand gently, "Just make sure she knows you love her."

Alex smiled. "That--she will never doubt." he said looking at his daughter fondly, and was rewarded with a milky grin.

Blaize smiled then looked towards Angel. "She does not need a mother when she has you..."

"No, a child always needs both parents. There's too many areas to cover." Alex said, looking at the male with a small smile.

Blaize nodded, "What if you found someone else to help with the other half?"

"Then, that would be different." he smiled as Angel babbled.

Blaize smiled then pulled back when the food came.

The rest of dinner was spent in easy conversation and a comfortability between the two of them. He smiled at the male across from him and how he interacted with Angel.
