Disturbia in Suburbia (Kade & Lennox)

Lennox just shrugged. "Well, maybe I am," he glanced over at him, "I am the resident earthling after all."

"Okay then, let's go," Cade said.

Lennox led him out to the car, immediately pulling out once they were settled. Driving down highway, he couldn't resist the urge to reach over a hand and grasp that of his mate. He couldn't seem to help touching the man, he just loved the feel of his flesh bonding with the other males.

Cade gladly held Lennox's hand watching the cars go by as the blonde drove.

Reaching the museum, Lennox pulled away long enough to get out and lock up his car, immediately moving back to his mate to take his hand once more. "This is okay, right? You don't mind mild public displays or whatever, do you?"

"Public displays are quite frequent where I come from," Kade said reaching a hand up and running a finger gently along Lennox's jaw line.

He smiled and turned his head enough to kiss the man's finger. "Great. I've never been one to hide my sexuality... plus you're really hot, so that goes double now." He grinned.

"Alright, so, what kind of museum did you say this was again," Kade asked walking in.

[ode]

"It depends on the month, really. They keep the pretty generic science and national geographic stuff on hand all the time but the historical exhibits come and go. We're going to see the historical remains of the ancient Egyptian. it's pretty cool but I'm really waiting for next month when the Viking exhibit comes in." he said excitedly.

"Egyptians and Vikings," Kade said nodding. "I haven't came across those in my research yet. Are they very interesting?"

[ode]

"Very! They're entirely different cultures in different geographical positions but fine examples of humanity in their own time periods." He took a breath and tried to calm himself. He always got too excited at the mention of history.

"You like history then," Kade said smiling at how excited his mate got.

[ode]

"Yes, I, Well I was going to be a teacher but my parents decided against it as History professors don't make anywhere near a proper salary," he repeated their words, regret in his voice.

"Well, what did you do instead," Kade asked feeling Lennox's regret.

[ode]

"Marketing Coordination. My dad's choice." Lennox shrugged suddenly, "He didn't mean to deny me, I don't suppose, he just wanted to make sure I could support myself."
