"Yes, he's a machine," Kade answered before the boy on the screen spoke up.
"Well, that's quite rude! I'm not just a machine, I'm your A.I, and the ninth version I might add. Do you know how scared I've been, Kade, do you? I thought I'd have to get a tenth upgrade! No matter how much I put up with you loosing me, a tenth time is just calling for me to get a differnt master," the A.I. scolded, pouting all the while, and Kade looking at Lennox nervously.

Kade laughed. "Oh, I suppose he can be."
The A.I huffed. "Well, aren't you going to introduce him to me?"
Kade looked to Lennox. "Would you like to introduce yourself?"

Lennox nodded and took the handheld. "Uh, hi, I'm Kade's mate... Lennox." He waved stupidly at the screen.

Merry's green eyes widened. "His mate! About time he found one, I didn't want to be his keeper forever, you know, I'm not suppose to be telling him where his stuff is, keeping him in line. I hand that job over to you, good luck with it."
Kade frowned and the device. "I'm not that bad."

Kade smiled, dimples showing at Lennox and quickly pocketed the device. "Well, Merry's going to help get our things back home so we don't have to carry them."

"How do you feel about stripes....?" He asked as they walked into the store. Immediately they were greeted by a saleswoman with a bright smile. Lennox declined her offer for help and drifted further into the store.
