Though it didn't seem like it, Camilla listened to every word that Monroe had said, soaking them up. "It's okay, you don't have to take it off Monroe. Thank you though and I'd love to meet your brother." The teen replied from were he was rummaging through the bushes, petals and leaves from various flowers getting tangled in his hair. "Was it a hard fight?" The prince asked suddenly, pausing in his actions to looks over his shoulder with round eyes. "But I think it was really romantic that you fought to protect someone you love." He added, going all starry eyed.
Camilla finally seemed to be done with wat he was doing and made his way back to Munroe. In his hand he held the fullest and most red rose in the garden. He held it up to the male, offering it to him. "Here. It's a present." Camilla said with his best smile. "I'm glad you think they're lovely. I hope that when I find a mate, he'll like flowers too. Do you have a mate Munroe? Is that the person you were protecting?" He asked earnestly, wanting to hear a heroic love story.

Here Monroe thought the boy couldn't get any cuter, it was funny how he noticed this after what he decided. Not that it would have made a difference, right? "Perhaps I'll have to try and set up a meeting," He was sure his brother would be honored to meet the Prince, or more like shy, which was how his brother was really. For a moment it seemed he got lost in thought, noticing how adorable the boy was, before he realized he was asked a question. "Oh yes, its never easy." He wasn't going to boast here, fighting was no simple task.
"Romantic?" That was an odd way of putting it, and when did he say it was someone he loved. He considered saying something against that, but found himself pausing, noting the look the boy had, how could he say differently. Then he noted Camilla coming his way, it seemed he had something in hand, a beautiful red rose. "Are you sure, Camilla." He accepted the rose, taking it in hand. Did it have thorns, he wondered, he didn't care to prick his finger, and didn't want the teen doing so either.
"Thank you," He didn't want to seem like he didn't appreciate it. What was this all about? Talking about mates now, he hadn't considered the idea. "I don't." He gave a curt answer, considering he really never had one. He was no virgin, but he never had a mate, and no one he really loved. Sure there were lookers, people you just thought with one look, 'I'd do that', he had relationships like that, but that was it.
"I can't say I was protecting someone like that, but I was protecting someone I cared about." Well, not in a loving way, but in general, he was a guard, a soldier, he cared about who he watched over, he made sure they didn't die. "I put myself into my work, so those I protect, I care about." He added that, in case he got the wrong idea.

Camilla laughed sweetly. "That's okay. I understand what you mean though." He nodded wisely. "It's good that you take your job so seriously. I can see why you were hired as a palace guard." For that's what Camilla assumed the male to be. How could he be anything else? "And don't worry. That particular rose has no thorns. That's why I picked it for you." He added with another smile before flitting off again, seeming to float elegantly above the grass.
"Munroe. Let's go through the hedge maze!" Camilla called, waving at the male to follow him. "It'll be fun." He promised, glad to be able to get away from his duties for a little while. Most of the time he was holed in his room doing important things, but he had finished his work last night so he was able to be free in the morning.

It was nice to know the teen understood, Monroe wouldn't have had a problem explaining a bit more, but this saved time. The assumption that he was a palace guard was correct, he wondered if he could get that changed, to be a personal guard for the prince. Then again, he considered the thought of keeping a set distance from the Prince, to avoid any blame later. He had to be around to ensure things didn't go wrong.
"Is that so," The rose he had didn't have thorns, he hadn't know that was possible, unless they were clipped. "Well, I'll be sure to be careful with it then." It sounded special, he would have to, as a sort of final memento, he gave a sort of sad smile at the thought.
"A hedge maze?" Was the teen serious, he found himself raising a brow, but moving after the Prince to follow him, couldn't have him getting lost now. "Are you sure about this, Camilla?" He said it would be fun, and he didn't doubt him, but did he know his way out, didn't he have things he needed to do. It was just an idea to take pictures, that had him out here, he didn't expect all this.

"Yes, a hedge maze." Camilla replied, grabbing Munroe's hand to tug him to the entrance. "And don't worry. I know this hedge backwards and forwards." He assured with a grin, thinking that Munroe was hesitant for that reason.
The hedge maze really wasn't all that big, nor were the green, leafy hedges too high. In fact, if Munroe got on tip toe, he would be able to look over the top. "It's a good place to hide." Camilla added in a conspiratorial tone as he swung the male's big hand with his own delicate one. "I come here sometimes when I want to be left alone." Which was most of the time. Thankfully, the servants didn't come inside because they were afraid of getting lost.

Monro went right along with the teen, being pulled along into the maze. It really was something, how was it people grew those things anyways. It had to be in a particular order, then they cut them accordingly, or was he wrong? "That's good to know," He just commented on what the boy said about knowing his way around.
It was a good place to hide? Did this mean no one came out here? Monro didn't like where his thoughts were going, he didn't like what the Prince had told him. If no one came though, this had to be one of the best places to...to...he didn't like thinking about it, but he knew it was coming sometime. What could he do though? He didn't want to do anything violent, maybe...maybe he could-
"Is that so, well its nice to know you have that kind of place," He cut his own thoughts off, thinking to consider it more later, now he just wanted to enjoy the time he had with Camilla. One could call him selfish, he would admit he was, but he was in no hurry to be rid of the boy. He could practically call it a crime, putting his planet on hold, but strangely enough it didn't feel that way. He had hardly spent time with the boy, but he felt a tad...attached? Very strange indeed.
"Are we going somewhere in here?" Or was this just to be alone?

It was clear that Camilla trusted Monroe implicitly, having grown very fond of the male in the very short time that they had been together. It never crossed his mind that the male would try to hurt him as he believed Monroe to be an honorable guard. Camilla was a prince after all and weren't the guards supposed to protect princes?
"We're just going to wander." Camilla replied. "Is that okay?" He asked in obvious concern, bright violet eyes turning to gaze up at Monroe in innocence. "We can take more pictures too. I know it seemed kind of boring, just walking about, but I don't ever get outside much." The teen sighed. "Maybe I could go and meet your brother tomorrow?" Camilla asked hopefully. "Would that be okay?"

"Wandering about..." Monroe seemed to give it some thought, "Yes...that would be fine, I have no problem with it." That meant he got to spend more time with Camilla, alone, it would give him time to decide what to do. "I'd love to take more pictures of you, this time hopefully together." As he recalled the last unexpected one was just of him. "You know what, that would be fine, us walking out here, and you can meet my brother tomorrow." He would have liked to do everything he could for the boy to make him smile.
"I don't suppose there are any secret spots here." Like an open area that lead to a fountain, or a pond even, something along the lines of that. He thought it would have been a pleasant idea to have a little resting place after all the walking in the maze. "You know, you should probably let me take a picture of you, when your alone." I t was just a thought, seeing he had one by himself.

"Oh thank you Munroe!" Camilla cried happily in response to being able to meet the male's brother. The teen suddenly swooped in to hug the guard tightly. "And of course there's secret places." He added in a whispered. "C'mon, I'll show you my favorite one!" At that, Camilla was tugging Munroe through the maze.
Near the center there was a nice size pond with bright flowers growing all around it. Inside swam golden koi fish and tadpoles. "Look Munroe, look!" Camilla smiled, laughing as he pulled the guard over to the looking pool. "You can see the fishes." He explained as if this was the most wonderful thing in the world. "Lets take another picture here." The teen said, pulling out his camera.

Monroe was taken aback, with how the boy suddenly hugged him like that. "You don't have to thank me," He found himself whispering those words, his expression rather close to looking pained, only due to his inner turmoil. "Oh," Now he responded to the boys whispered words, finding himself being tugged along once more, he could do nothing but follow, briefly showing mixed expressions. He just forced a smile, a small one, not to look bothered, hopefully the boy was as innocent as he looked, not capable of reading others in such a way.
They made it to...the center? Somewhere in the maze, where there was a pond, and it had fish, meaning it was relatively deep, perhaps just deep enough to... "And what pretty fish they are," He commented, coming up beside the young Prince. Right now, he could do it, he could give him a little push, if he could avoid getting wet, no one would know he was here, of course, he would have to find his way out, no one came here, right? No one would find him, this was the best way to go.
He couldn't do it though, he would...he would get lost in here if he did. That was a lie, but one he firmly believed himself, but he could reconsider. "Oh, what did you say?" He had gotten lost in thought, tempted to put his hand on the small of the boys back, to just give him a little push. "A picture, together, or of just you by the...fishes?" He asked this, wary of where he stood now, in case he did something he regretted.

Although Camilla was rather good at reading the faces of people, but he had come to trust Monroe with everything he had so it was nearly impossible for him to read ill intent in the male. The prince didn't know why, but he felt drawn to the male. He wanted to cuddle up in his arms and never be let go. It was a rather warm feeling and Camilla couldn't help but blush cutely at his thoughts. Perhaps he...liked Monroe.
"You think so?" Camilla giggled at the fish comment, delighted that Monroe thought them pretty. "I find that I like them a lot too." The teen smiled. "Let's take our picture together, with the fishes." He added, dropping to his knees to peer at his watery reflection. The fish darted about, startled by the sudden face, only to calm again.
"Come." Camilla, motioned to Monroe as he pulled out his camera. "We'll take a picture of our reflections." The teen said with a bright, happy smile.

Monroe gave a nod, before thinking to speak in respond to what Camilla said. "Yes, I do, aren't they?" Was he wrong to assume that was a general fact, or perhaps just his opinion. "I imagined you would have to like them, to want a picture with them." It only made sense to him, unless he just liked fish in general, and just wanted a picture of them together.
"How would we do that?" He was curious to know, at the mention of taking a picture of them with the fish here. It was just, the camera had no stand, or anything to prop it up to do so, unless it just wasn't a fancy kind of camera. "You should-" He started to speak, then cut himself off, seeing how Camilla knelt down by the water. This was his chance, why was he warning him? With his face so close, if he just ducked his head under the water. It was possible, he could do it now, but the slightest movement to do so had him appalled.
It was strange, how was it that trying to bring harm to this boy caused such conflicting emotions? The idea of someone else doing it was something he definitely couldn't allow, he already deemed he was the one to do this, but it seemed when it came down to it he couldn't push himself. It made no sense to him though, he had a reason, one that made perfect sense to him, and he was sure there others out there (Zercan's that wouldn't speak up), who would agree with him, what was the problem here?
"That sounds like a fine idea." Instead of moving, he came to kneel down beside the Prince, smiling at their reflections, a partially forced smile but one realistic enough. "That's a smart idea you have, Camilla," He actually slipped his hand to rest on the Prince's back. Was he going to do something? He really couldn't say, he just knew he could do whatever he was going to do now.

Camilla turned to look at Monroe curiously but smiled as the male keeled beside him. "Thank you." The teen murmured, kissing the soldier's cheek sweetly. He pulled out his camer, clicking a button and letting the device float from his hands, readying to take the pictures.
"Smile big." Camilla warned, a split second later, the boy was smiling at their reflection just as the camera clicked off. There was a flash and Camilla was giggling, clapping his hands together in delight. "Another picture!" He crowed happily, looking at Monroe adoringly.

Monroe had been so close to making a move, but the thanks and the kiss given made him pause again. More then pause really, thinking to end such a sweet child, as he still saw him more like a boy, a teen really, then someone who should be Shodan. That was really, all the more reason to continue, but it seemed he couldn't, not now at least.
"Sure," He spoke, then gave a rather large smile, one that seemed more like a grin really, before the picture was taking, he heard the camera click, and knew his face was now stored in it, for a second time. Was that a mistake? Like a form of...evidence.
"Another," he managed a smile, even with his negative thoughts. "Alright, where should we take it now, together, or alone?" He asked, reconsidering his feelings. When he thought about this kind of things, his chest most certainly shouldn't ache. Especially when he looked over the boy, feeling more like embracing him, perhaps even kissing him, then all the more volatile-like thoughts he had.

Camilla laughed, pressing the camera into Monroe's hands. "Me by myself." The prince replied. "And you smiled so big for the last one! Thank you. You looked rather...handsome Monroe." He couldn't help by add shyly, cheeks heating in a blush.
With another delicate, sweet laugh, the teen gracefully stood and raced over to a bush that was the blooming with bright blue flowers. "Okay, I'm ready." Camilla announced, the grin never leaving his face and making him look radiant in the sunshine.
