"Not so different at all it seems," River said with a small smile as he finished his own meal. He gave the male a small glass of wine before settling down himself.

Faolan didn't reply, too busy slamming down the sandwich. Perhaps River wasn't so bad. Maybe...no. He was leaving in the morning and that was that. Better not give the stupid male any silly idea or anything. Be sides, Faolan didn't like being pitied either and it felt like that was exactly what River was doing. What with the money and food and all that.
After the sandwich, Faolan gulped down the wine, the alcohol making his body relax and feel a little less achy.

River didn't see what he was doing as pity, he just genuinely wanted to help the male, if only a little. If he had it, why not use it to help someone?
He ate slower than the boy, drinking a bit of water before standing and ducking the light.
"Come on, Faolan. You should probably go to sleep." he said, looking at his watch. He had to be up in a few hours himself.

"I'mnahttired." The teen slurred slightly, rubbing at his eyes. He got up though and followed River to the spoken of guestroom. Faolan didn't even look at the room before he was curling up on the bed, out like a light within moments, snoring lightly.

River just chuckled at the cute picture the boy made before pulling the covers up over the boy and tucking him in before heading to his room across the hall.
River sighed as disrobed, pulling off everything save his undergarmets and going to bed. He too was asleep in a few moments.

Faolan slept for a few hours before simply jerking awake out of habit. He felt a little cottonmouth and stumbled his way to the bathroom to take a swig of water. After that he was feeling hungry again and so he made his way to the kitchen, not bothering to turn on any lights. The fridge was his destination and he pulled it open, peering at all the goods inside and grabbing the most delicious item.

"That fruit's probably a bit strong for the morning. Try the purple." River said, as he tied his tie over his open business shirt. It was four thirty in the morning, and he had to be at the docks in thirty minutes. He tied his hair back buttoning his shirt before he looked at Faolan. "You may leave, or stay. It matters not to me. Just don't steal anything, I'm trusting you." River said as he set about going to finish dressing.

Faolan hummed his thanks, reaching for the purple and cramming it into his mouth and swallowing it. He watched River buttoning up his shirt, tracking each button with his eyes. For some reason he felt distinctly hurt that the male could have cared less if he stayed or left. Frowning at himself, the teen brushed the feelings away.
"I won't steal anything." The teen growled defensively.

"Good," River said with a small smile as he looked back to Faolan. "The TV remote is over there, press REVOLVE for it to come out of the wall. If you need me, tell Gita, my AI to contact me and he will. You're welcome to the refrigerator, but lay off the wine. If anyone comes by from Jokadi, ignore them. I'll be back by nine."
River said, going through his mental checklist. He looked at Faolan. "Would you like me to make you breakfast before I go?" he asked.

"No." Faolan replied flippantly to the offer of breakfast as he walked passed River into the living room. The teen practically had his nose in the air as he seated himself on the couch and began to fiddle with the remote for the television. What was the use to listening to all those instructions if he wasn't even going to stick around? He'd be gone after River left.

River felt a little disgruntled at being blown off, but shrugged it off as indignation.
"Alright..." River said after a moment. "Oh, Faolan." he said to the teen. "When you leave, try not to get in too much trouble--you're in Jokdai, the vampyres here aren't as kind. I'd hate for one of them to kill you." he warned before he left.

"Whatever." Faolan muttered, not even turning to look at River even though he really, really wanted to. He heard the door slam and sighed almost sadly. He doubt the male cared if he died or not. Nobody REALLY cared. It was Jeskara after all. People looked after themselves and that was what Faolan intended to do. He waited a sufficient amount of time to make sure that River was long gone before leaving himself.

A few hours later found River returning home, slightly beat. Seemed that his transport off Jeskara was going to be just a few hours late Friday, but it was enough to darken his mood. River hated this planet.
As he returned, he noticed the strange quiet of the house and sighed, knowing the teen was gone--as if he were never here. River just heaved another sigh and headed to his room to sleep.

Okay, so maybe leaving the house wasn't the greatest of his ideas. It was cold and dark outside. Colder still now that the rains had passed. Everything had a nice sheen was wetness and it made sitting on the slopping hill rather uncomfortable. Faolan couldn't go back to the others. Not yet at least. He still need to have a good sulk.

River arose sometime later to shower, change, and go to visit his father. The Lord and Sherriff may not wish to see his only son at the moment, seeng how preparations were being made for the prince's annual Blood Moon Ball--but River thought it best to tell him that he was leaving Jeskara.
Sighing, the tall half vamp stepped from his shower, pulled on some decent clothing and headed towards the castle in Jokadi.
