"Alright, be stubborn." River said walking easily with the boy, he was so light, he didn't feel like much at all. They were only a few blocks away from the office now.
"We're only a few blocks away. Last chance," he said softly.

Faolan turned even more pale as they grew closer to the sheriff's office. He gulped and stilled his struggling, simply dead weight in the male's hold. What would his friends do if he wasn't around? Faolan's stomach dropped at the thought. He supposed he could swallow his pride...if even just a little.
"It's Faolan." The teen muttered. "Are you happy now you son of a bitch?!"

River grinned, before placing the male down. "Very much so, now--was that so hard?" he asked. He still had the male by the back of his shirt and as he was speaking, he slipped quite a bit of money into the male's pocket.
"Fare well, Faolan." he said, before realeasing him and turning away, heading towards his home.

Faolan tried run off the moment he was set down, only to be jerked back by the scruff. "Whatever." The teen huffed, having no idea that money had been slipped into his pocket. When he was let go, he a immediately off like a shot. There was no goodbye, but Faolan did pause to stick his tongue out at the male before continuing on his way.

River chuckled. He knew his vampyre family would be upset with him if they knew he had let the boy go, but River found he really didn't care. It was just something that drew him to the kid...whatever, he'd be gone in as few days anyhow. He didn't plan on returning to Jeskara for at least a year.

It wasn't until Faolan had sufficiently left that male in the dust that he noticed the wad of cash in his back pocket. He came to a stop, just looking at the money in his hand. What the hell? He growled, having a mind to go back and through the money in that guy's face. However...he did need it. Everyone would be able to eat good for awhile.
Already his nose was twitching at the smell of sweet buns wafting through the air. He'd take his share and buy himself one then go and dole out what was left. And that's exactly what Faolan did. A few minutes later he was sitting on the curb shoving down a sweet bun that was nearly bigger than his head.

River sighed as he got home. He placed down his coat and such before going to take his shower. River sighed as he stepped under the warm spray, the water running over his alabaster skin. His mind drifted back to the fiery little theif...Faolan. He wondered what the kid was up to.

Faolan was in another fight with one of the local gangs. He had been halfway through his bun when the twins appeared to see if he was alright. The teen hurriedly handed the rest of the sweet bun over along with the money, telling the two to distribute it to everyone evenly. At was when they were dashing off that the three thugs from what Faolan considered a rival faction, appeared.
They accused him of stealing the money, which of course he denied. That's when the first punch was thrown. Faolan was holding his own, having compared the males to that sexy wall of muscles from earlier. There was no contest.

River was reclining on his couch--still shirtless--reading as his golden hair stuck to his body when he felt the first alien punch. What the hell? Then another punch, and another. River grimaced, before standing, opening the door to his apartment (not bothering with shoes or a shirt) and hurridly racing towards the source of the pain.
He ran as fast as he could, arriving to the scene in record time. What he saw made his vision go red. His little redheaded beauty was taking on three punks by himself, and the male had just taken a harsh kick to the stomach.
River moved before he could think, grabbing two of the thugs by their collars, slamming them to the ground, hearing their bones break.

Faolan hit the ground, moments after he realized he had left himself open. He coughed deeply, clutching his stomach to make the pain there go away more quickly. He was already bleeding for a split lip and a cut under his eye that was quickly becoming black. When his opponents advanced to kick his ass some more, suddenly his stupid, beautiful vampire was there slamming two of the thugs into the ground.
What the hell? Angry that he had been saved, Faolan stumbled to stand and took down the last male with a quick kick to dislocate his knee and another vicious kick to his face, splattering the guy's nose like a tomato.
"Can I help you?" The redhead demanded over the moans of all three males writhing on the ground as he jammed his hands on his hips.

River's red eyes slowly bled back to black, and he looked at Faolan. "Are you alright?" he asked, pushing his still wet white golden hair away from his face and torso with one hand.
"I felt..." he started, but he wasn't sure what he had felt. "I knew you were in danger."

Faolan blinked blue eyes owlishly for a moment, temporarily rendered speechless as he fixed on those damp pieces of hair. The teen shook his head suddenly. Not to the question, but trying to clear his brain. No. The stranger was not hot at all.
"I'm fine." The teen gruffed, though he winced as he stood straighter from the pain of a cracked rib of two. "And what's this nonsense about you knowing I was in danger? Are you part Sensaphorian? And another thing. Why did you give me that money?"

"I don't have to explain myself to you, boy." River said. "You need medical care," he said choosing to ignore the boy's questions because quite frankly, he didn't have an answer for them.
He looked to the skies. "And to get out of the rain." he said as thunder crackled above and it began to drizzle. "Come with me, I promise to release you once I see that you are properly treated."

Faolan groaned loudly but didn't protest too much. He really did need some medical attention and walking in with some gorgeous vampire would make the orderlies not ask any question. "And don't call me boy, old man." Faolan finally said, following after as the rain started to sprinkle on them.

"My name is River. River Somnka." River said, shaking his head as he gently lifted the boy and used his vampyre speed to transport them back to his place. "I'm sure you don't have a legal Identification card, huh?" he asked as he opened the door to his penthouse. "Be lucky I have medical training." he said before placing the boy on the couch.
"Don't move, and everything is theft proof." he said before disappearing around a corner.
