Kai saw the snarl and the crew did as well they were getting nervous. He quickly pulled Oasis into the storage room away from the rest of the crew. "Des just likes to be rough. Please don't say anything. I'm fine..."

Oasis cocked his head. He really didn't like that, but he didn't want to upset the kind male. "I will say nothing." he said with a soft growl, before leaving the storage room and hefting up his crate by himself, further scaring the crew members. He placed it in the storage room before going to grab another one, his anger fueling his strength. HOW DARE HE?! The ends of his hair began to catch fire, but he paid it no mind as he placed yet another crate in the storage room.

Kai saw his hair when he came back into the storage room. "O...oasis," he protested reaching for his hand to stop him. "Your hairs on fire...your going to set the ship on fire if you don't put it out." He was scared now, not of him, scared of the power he was now showing.

Oasis blinked, shifting the crate to one shoulder as he grabbed a lock of his hair. Huh. He didn't know he could do that. He willed his hair to put itself out and it slowly died. Oasis then continued on his way and placed down the crate as he moved out of the way for a few of the crew to placed down the last crate.
Oasis wiped his face with the back of his arm, watching as the crew sealed up the storage room. He frowned before looking at Kai, "Why are you down here?" he thought to ask. Not meanly, though, just curiously.

Kai watched him wanting to follow him, he moved out of the storage room before the sealed it and left. "I just wanted to see what you were doing," he told him softly with another blush. He was a bit away from him now whereas yesterday he had been inches from him, he was frightened of his anger, not wanting him to start the fire again. "I can go back to my room," he offered then headed for the stairs.

"No." Oasis said, shaking his head. "I did not mean to upset you." he said again, it seemed like Oasis was apologizing a lot these days.

Kai looked back to him curious, "Why did you get so angry when you saw me hurt?" he asked wanting to know.

Oasis blinked, surprised by the question. "I do not know." Oasis said truthfully. "Just that the thought of you hurt makes me angrier than I have ever been." he said, unpeterbed by the awkwardness of his statement.

Kai blushed and looked away quickly. He knew that usually meant that the person you felt it for was your mate, but Kai didn't believe he deserved a mate. "Oh," he whispered surprised

He nodded, "Is it like you want to protect me no matter what? Like I'm yours to protect?" he asked softly still not looking back to him.

Oasis thought about that, and decided that that shed some light on his feelings. "Yes, I suppose that it is like that." he said calmly. He blinked at Kai, "While the captain seems like an honorable man, I still wish to see him set aflame...for hurting you. Am I out of line?"

Kai looked to him he knew what it meant but it scared him a bit. "Your not out of line," he whispered. "I...its like I'm your mate...that's what it sounds like..."

"You...my mate?" Oasis blinked. "I didn't think I had one." he said truthfully, fixing Kai with his dark gaze.
