Oasis nodded. The captain of his vessel shared the same name. "I will return with you." he said, as they walked. He stopped off at the leather trader to buy his bolts of leather, shouldering them before heading back to the ship, listening to the pretty little Zercan's chatter.

Des had been pacing worried about his mistress since he had turned off his computer. Once Tamire told him that Kai was outside he headed there quickly. "You turned off Ash!?" he demanded worry in his voice. "I need to track you, what if one of those incubus fed on you and nearly killed you?" he asked worried. Kai giggled liking that he was worried then pulled him into a kiss, "Mmm I'm fine, and I brought a friend." He turned to Oasis smiling, "So want a tour?"

Oasis cocked his head at the little display. So,he had been walking with his captain's mate? He blinked when he was spoken to, shaking his head. "I need only to know where I will be working and where I may place my belongings." he said after a moment.

Kai pouted a bit, he had been wanting to give him a tour. "But there is so much more about the ship then that," he protested. "And what if you get lost? Please can I show you around?"

Des smiled, "He won't quit asking till you say yes," he informed Oasis.

Oasis cocked his head again. "I suppose so. If it is alright with your mate." he said after a moment, adjusting his baggage.

Des smiled, "Its quite alright with me, and Kai isn't my mate, only my mistress," he informed softly.

Kai grinned then started to walk away, "Come I'll show you to your room."

Mistresss? The term was unfamiliar to Oasis, but he followed none the less. "A mistress is not a mate?" he asked, confused. Oasis hated to be confused.

Kai smiled weakly, "No," he told him softly. "A mistress is just someone who relives a male till they find their mate," he told him. He showed him his room and smiled, "This is is, drop off your things then I can show you around."

Oasis blinked, he didn't like the sound of that. "They do not consider your feelings?" he asked as he placed down the heavy bolts of leather and his satchel.

"Does not sound like a desirable occupation." Oasis said before turning back to Kai.

Kai tilted his head confused, "What do you mean?" he asked softly. "I like my job. I get a roof over my head, food, clothing, and with Des I even get to explore the universe. Why do you think its not desirable?" he questioned. For some reason he wanted this male to like him and be impressed by what he did.

"Being a vessel for another male's use until they find their mates...does not sound desirable. What of your mating opportunity? You do not want a mate?" Oasis asked, pushing his golden hair from his face.

Kai looked to him biting his lip, "If I find my mate then I am free," he told him softly. "I'm not a vessel," he protested. "They like me, and we always become close. Des and I are close, you saw how worried he got for me..."

Oasis just looked at Kai, he didn't want to upset the pretty male anymore. "If you enjoy your life I am in no position to tell you otherwise." He pushed his hair from his face again, it was time to cut it. "I would not know, I interact with others very rarely."

Kai smiled weakly then nodded he didn't feel as if he had won, but he let it drop. "Would you like a tour now?" he asked softly heading to the door.

Osais gently grabbed Kai's arm, feeling like a class A butthole. "I did not mean to upset." he said quietly. "But I will follow."
