"So the other librarian told me," Lel said before putting the paddle down. He didn't feel like messing with Luna much more, he couldn't think of anything innocent enough not to put him off anymore. "You'll spend an hour after school in the library helping out, understand? Now off to your last period." He hoped the surprise in Luna's desk helped him start to charm his unaware mate.

Luna gave Lel a stricken look of hurt before dropping his head again in a nod. "Yes." He mumbled, turning and fleeing from the office.
The flowers in his desk almost made him puke. Was Lel serious? The apology did nothing to assuage the teen. After class was over and he headed to the library, the teen prayed that the librarian wouldn't do anything to him again.

Lel was at a loss for how he should go about charming Luna. He wasn't as good at it as his father had been, but of course he hadn't exercised his charming skills as much as Jengo or cousin Keiru. Maybe the fae mix didn't like flowers, something else would have to do.

With the air of someone headed to the guillotine, Luna entered what had once been his sanctuary. Not even looking up, he went to Lel's desk, waiting to be told what to do. He promised himself he would not speak.

"Hello Luna," Lel said once the student had come in. He noticed Luna seemed to stay quiet and frowned. "Alright then, the books are over here. I want you to take half and pile them on the trolley then push the trolley after me while I stack them. You can help stack too if you want," he said leading Luna over to a humungous stack of books that had been returned. Honestly, the students didn't read this much, half the stack was Lel's.

That exact through strayed through Luna's mind as he saw the stack of books. He wondered how many books Lel read, but didn't ask, merely going to the pile. He grabbed as many books as he could carry, arranging them neatly on the trolly. The halfling stood behind it, looking at Lel pointedly.

Lel put the other half on the trolley and ignored Luna's look. "This way then," he said going to the very beginning of the alphabet. He fingered the spines of the books before he found one with the authors name of A. "This one goes here," he said putting the book in its spot then got another with A. "And this one goes here, and that one goes over here, and this one here." He kept going like this for the next few aisles.

Luna obediently followed. He watched Lel place the books and thought he understood. He began to help shelve the books also, every so often brushing innocently against the Zercan.
A particular book that Luna put back of the shelf was covered in dust. A cloud of it hit him in the face, making him sneeze cutely.

"Bless you," Lel said at the cute sneeze before going back to shelfing books. "This goes here, this one here. This goes....oh, here," he was no longer saying this to guide Luna, but just to talk to himself as he often did when in the library.

"Thank you." Luna replied softly, sniffling before he mentally kicked himself. He told himself he wasn't going to talk, but it was a hard promise to keep. It was strange the way Lel was talking to himself though. However, the teen rather liked listening to the male's voice. It was lulling somehow.

Lel inwardly did a happy dance when Luna replied and pulled started to the next aisle. "D...D for Delvis...Delvis, Delvis, Delivis goes, ...Here! Diten goes...Here, and this goes here and this one here and this one...Luna, this one goes over your head," he said handing Luna the book.

Luna looked at the cover of the book and wrinkled his nose. He'd read this one and hadn't particularly liked the author's view on the nature of the universe. Giving a rather disdainful sniff, he reached up and put the book back where it belonged.

"You don't like those sort of books?" Lel asked catching Luna's look of disgust at the book he'd past Luna. "I didn't particullarly like that book either."

"The man was boorish and crude." Luna immediately shot off without thinking. "The chapter on minimalistic intelligence was just...ugh." The teen stuck out his tongue, forgetting that he was fraternizing with the enemy.

"I quite agree," Lel responded putting away another book. "But if you don't like those books, what books do you like?"
