Shion blushed at the intensity in the Panther's eyes, and the care there. How could he care for him at all? Especially so soon? he wondered, as the strong Zercan whispered his name and kissed his face.
Shion blushed, looking down. He wasn't sure what to make of all this. He had just met this man, yet already...No. He wouldn't let his mind venture there. He was entirely confused now, wheras before, he had been somewhat sure of who he was, what he was. But now, in the warm, protective embrace of the male before him, he wasn't so sure.

Shion wasn't the only one who felt unsure. Kaleos was nearly shaking at the intensity of the the first kiss. So many thoughts whirled in his mind and it made him wonder that maybe, just maybe, Shion was the one he'd been searching for since before forever.
He didn't want to say anything yet though, feeling Shion's worry and indecision. Kaleos just held the lithe body close, the first part of the bond shimmering to life between them.

Shion finally regained himself, pushing back against the hard chest--never roughly--but enough so that Kaleos let him go. He looked at the slightly hurt eyes of the male, and turned his eyes away, disappearing from the spot.
He took the trees, silently and at superspeeds, running out all of his confusion and fear.
What was that? Why did he feel such a way for--someone he didn't even know?! Shion frowned as he ran, the adrenaline helping to clear his head. He refused to think about any of it right now, as he simply kept running.

Kaleos gasped, reaching for Shion, only to find the male gone, running of into the dark like some wild thing. The Zercan was desperate to follow, had already taken a few steps, before he stopped himself. He couldn't push Shion. There was no way he could force the male to accept him.
Sighing sadly, the panther moved back into the shadow of the doorway, heart crying out for his mate.

Shion ran until he just couldn't and crashed, his legs giving was as he neared a large lake. He fell through the air, hitting the water with a spash!
Shion debated about swiming up, this scenario familiar to him. Often he'd dreamt of dying...every day, actually. But he had never carried out his wish. What was stopping him now? he wondered, just as a mental image of Kaleos' expressive eyes and face flashed before his eyes.
Shion groaned underwater, before swimming upwards, floating on his back in the frigid lake. It'd probably be best if he got out, but not right now...He laid there in the water, contemplatinh and mulling for what seemed like forever, befoe he finally began to feel faint.
He got out of the lake and laid on the banks, staring up at the vast sky as he contemplated the engima that was his own life.

The glass that Kaleos was holding in his hand shattered into a million pieces as cold rippled through him and horrible feelings he didn't want to contemplate. "Yikes buddy. You okay there?" The Panther had been speaking with Jonas. The vampire looked at Kaleos when he didn't answer.
"I-Iv'e got to go." The Zercan muttered, shaking his head. "Tell Jikan goodbye for me." Then Kaleos was gone, streaming through the night towards Shion. Pelt melting against the shadows, the panther raced to where he could smell the Majakadai, hoping he hadn't made a mistake.

Shion's mind a was heated buzz, contrasting greatly with his body, which was shivering and slowly stilling. He tried to get up, but only managed to sit slightly up. He cursed, that was rather dumb of him, but the tide was rising. He did manage to roll out of the danp bank, onto dry land, which sapped most of his strength. He cut his shirt away from him with his sharp, claw like nails. Laying on his back, breathing heavily.
He sighed. That was VERY stupid, but what could you do? He jumped as he looked up, locking eyes with a pair of golden eyes set in a Panther's face.
Shion cursed himself again, but he couldn't move. It was going to eat him. It was going to eath him and he could do nothinig about it. So he just watched the large animal, surprised when it only moved forwards.

A million things rushed through Kaleos' mind when he saw Shion, but the first thought that popped up was idiot. What kind of idiot went swimming in the beginning of the cold season? The panther chuffed out a sigh when he was finally beside his mate. If he could have rolled his eyes, he would have, but for now, he just looked at Shion.
Slowly, the Zercan settled his huge bulk of a body down next to Shion. Immediately, Kaleos began licking the water and cold from Shion. The male's neck, chest, arms, anywhere that Kaleos could reach, was warmed up by the panther's big, scratchy tongue.
All the while, the air was filled with a great rumbling purr. Kaleos' tail was wrapped firmly around his mate's waist as he offered the body next to him all the heat he had.

Shion was grateful for the Panther's heat. He felt something familiar in the cat's spirit, as his body slowly began to unthaw. He looked up at the large cat, hesitantly stroking his black fur.
The tail around his waist was comforting as he pulled himself up into a sitting position, the moonlight revealing the badly scarred body of the lithe Majikadai. He sighed, looking at the panther's black face. His hands found the panther's head, and his long, nible fingers ran through the beasts's hair at the nape of his large neck and ears.
He knew who the Panther was--he simply prefered not to think of him as who he was. It was less complicated--less...confusing.

Kaleos rumbled encouragingly at the first stroke of his fur, immediately nuzzling up against Shion and licking his face. The panther could only wonder what it would feel like having those hands caress his bare skin. It was enough to make the big cat shudder, wondering if Shion would touch him like that.
The panther's white teeth flashed in a silent snarl at the sight of Shion scars and the Zercan felt the need to kill anyone who had touched his mate in such away before he remembered that the male was Majakadai and probably thought nothing of them. Kaleos would ask about them later. Not now though. Now, he just gave a feline groan of pleasure
He wanted desperately to transform, but he had no clothing and knew that he would be hard-pressed not to take Shion under the moonlight as it was. So, he simply purred on, waiting for Shion.

Shion chuckled at the big cat's pleasure. He rubbed the animal's head and back, a soft, gentle smile on his face.
"Thank you," he said softly to the Panther, knowing full well that he would have been dead if not for the cat.

Kaleos looked at Shion with a very clear "your welcome" face. He liked seeing such a gentle smile on the male and waited a moment longer, simply letting himself be petted.
Reluctantly, the panther stood, shaking his fur out. He nudged Shion with his head, wanting the male to get on his back. Kaleos could stay outside all night, but he feared for his new mate still and didn't want him to get sick or something from the cold.

Shion blinked, looking at the Panther. He stood up slowly, sighing and propping himself up on the Panther. He was barely able to move another step, and he had no clue how far away he was from Jikan's home.
He slowly, unsurely lowered hmself onto the Panther's body, grabnbing the soft fur.

Kaleos waited until Shion was settled securely on his back before taking off. He didn't run through the trees too quickly, but he moved fast enough for them to get back to Jikan's house in good time.
He slowed to a trotted and then stopped altogether once back on the front step of the house. Kaleos chuffed loudly, scratching a little at the door.

Jikan swung open the door immediately. "Shion!" he said, reaching out and grabbing his brother straight off of Kaleo's back with surprising stength. He looked at the panther with a greatful glance.
Shion made a sort of strangled noise, before it was cut off by Jikan's lecture.
"Where the hell were you? What were you thinking?!" he asked, placing his hand on his hip.
Shion sighed. "I went for a run, over-ran and fell into the lake." he sighed.
Jikan blinked. "What lake?" he asked.
