Like North and South, I'm Drawn to You Kaleos/Shion

"Ah Ma." Kaleos grinned. "You were always so good at that." He whispered, nuzzling his son gently while still in his grandmother's arms.

"Well, with as many of you guys as it is, I've had practice." Stella smiled, kissing her son the cheek.

Another nurse came into the room, "I'm sorry, but everyone will have to leave. Hours are over and we need to transport the bearer and son into the care ward for monitoring." he said softly

Kaleos blinked at the nurse as Stelled handed her son Isis again. "I'm not leaving." The panther said, even as his parents obediently filed out with a wave demands that they be called later.

The nurse eyed Kaleos. "Are you the mate?" he asked, "if so, we ask that you move to the overnight waiting room. We must sanitize the birthing room and check up on the child." he said professionally.

Kaleos shook his head very, very slowly. "Yes, I'm his mate and no, I'm not moving to some room. I'm not letting my son or my mate out of mine sight." The usual protective bearer. Zercan's were the worst when it came to this.

The nurse sighed. "Sir, I really think--" he began.

"Let him go. It's fine." came a cool voice. Dr. Kirle looked around the corner, smiling. "It's their first son, he's Jikan's brother."

The nurse shook his head. "FIne, but we do have to move out of the birthing room. " he sighed.

Kaleos returned the smile at the doctor. "Thank you Dr. Kirle." The panther sighed, hugging his new baby close. He relaxed, knowing that he wasn't going to have to leave his family's side.

Kirle walked the male to the new room as Shion was wheeled in. They moved the sleeping Majikadai to the bed, and brought in a basenet for the baby.

Kaleos willingly followed everyone into the new room, settling his new kit in the basenet. "Thank you." He said again, settling himself in a chair next to where Shion was sleeping.

After everyone had settled in for the night, the hospital A.I quietly turned off the lights, letting the new family rest.

The next morning, Shion woke up feeling tired and sluggish. His hand went to his now considerably flatter belly, gasping before he realized that he had already had the baby. He looked over at his mate who lay asleep in a chair next to him, as well as the basenet next to him.

Isis was wide awake, having heard his mother awaken. He began to coo softly.

Kaleos was snoring softly, chin touching his chest as he breathed in and out slowly as he slept on. However, at Isis' cooing, the big panther blinked open golden eyes. He yawned widely and stretched, cracking his kinked neck.

"Shi." He slurred a little sleepily, heaving himself up to greet his mate with a good morning kiss. "Would you like to hold your son now?" He murmured, reaching to get Isis and setting him gently in his mother's arms.

Shion kissed his mate as their kit was placed in his arms. As Isis was placed in his arms, the baby began gurbling. Shion gave him a hand to play with, smiling at him. He truely was gorgeous.

"When did he change?" he asked, his voice slightly hoarse.

"When my father held him." Kaleos replied wryly. "Rather quickly too I might add." He smiled down at his son, tickling the tufty hair. He glanced back to Shion. "You feeling alright?" He asked gently.

"You know, somehow I can't imagine Julius hold a baby." Shion said scrunching up his face rather comically. "And yes, I'm fine. I just feel a little tired. " he replied softly.

Kaleos eased to the bed, throwing an arm around Shion's shoulder in a hug.. "It was rather funny." He chuckled. "Why don't you go back to sleep and rest some more?"
